Chapter 246: Multifaceted Use of Sentient Scarecrows: Automated Spirit Farming
“Excellent. And how is the market responding?”
Aksai asked, leaning forward slightly.
“Emerald Cove’s Spirit fish farming business is slowly gaining recognition in the mainland markets,” Jasmine said.
“The 1st-order Spirit fishes we produce are ideal for late-stage Spirit Refining cultivators. They provide not only rich taste but also mild benefits that improve Spirit essence. Our Bluefin Spirit Fish, in particular, has become quite popular for its unique flavor and subtle life force enhancement properties.”
Aksai nodded appreciatively. “That’s great news, Jasmine. Your hard work is paying off. Make sure to keep me updated on any further developments.”
Jasmine bowed her head. “Thank you, Master Aksai. I will.”
Aksai looked around at his subordinates, feeling a sense of satisfaction. Each of them had contributed significantly to the growth and prosperity of Emerald Cove. “Thank you all for your dedication and hard work. I will now grant rewards based on your contributions.”
The hall echoed with praises for Aksai and bows of respect as his subordinates acknowledged his words. Ignoring the compliments, Aksai proceeded to reward them. He also enabled his direct subordinates to reward the employees and disciples under them. He allocated extra funds to reward hard-working rental farmers as well.
What did Aksai use to reward his direct subordinates? Of course, these rewards were nothing but some precious resources he had taken out from the Enchanted Everwood farm.
After he had found a way to fuse the concepts of the Scarecrow creation, Bloodfiend creation, and Anahat Soul Splitting Technique, things had become pretty convenient for Aksai, especially when it came to multitasking. He had started using the Sentient Scarecrows to farm around the clock in the Enchanted Everwood farm.
Aksai’s Sentient Scarecrows were his will-bearers. They exactly did things and style Aksai wanted a particular task to be executed. Since Aksai shared an always-on mental connection with them through the use of the relationship between the main and subroutine neural link fabrics, Aksai didn’t even need to voice his commands. His Sentient Scarecrows would know Aksai’s plans and decisions right from the moment they were finalized by Aksai.
This level of control and precision was necessary for Aksai to employ his Sentient Scarecrows in the Enchanted Everwood farm. Otherwise, even a slight difference in handling the precious resources on the farm could potentially result in damage.
Thankfully, since Aksai shared his connection with the Sentient Scarecrows, the Enchanted Everwood Farm allowed him to use its special perks through them.
What did all of this mean?
It meant that Aksai was notified of the real-time status of the resources via spectral notifications even when it was the Sentient Scarecrows who were tending to these resources.
Aksai then enabled his neural link fabric to develop a certain algorithm. This algorithm allowed the main neural link fabric to cultivate these resources autonomously through its control over subroutine neural link fabrics without involving Aksai.
In simple terms, if the neural link fabric was the logic processing unit stored inside an isolated facility, then the Sentient Scarecrows were the mech robots that carried out its will. A single brain and its many bodies worked tirelessly to ensure Aksai’s Enchanted Everwood farm would always be at the peak of its productivity.
At this point, Aksai didn’t even need to pay attention to what was being cultivated inside the Everwood farm. He could leave things on autopilot for weeks or even months on end while concentrating on his Spirit cultivation, and the neural link fabric would take care of his farm for him through the use of the Sentient Scarecrows.
Of course, Aksai could only do this to cultivate known resources. He needed to develop a pattern and do things manually for quite some time before the neural link fabric developed an algorithm for them as well.
As such, this automated farming concept was limited to cultivating most 1st-order and some 2nd-order resources inside the Enchanted Everwood farm. Aksai would still need to act as a Spirit farmer from time to time to learn new things, cultivate new crops, and recalibrate the automated process, which would also change with time and more data.
After he was finished giving all of his subordinates apt rewards, Aksai discussed a few more things with them regarding the future of Emerald Cove. He raised his expectations from his subordinates once again and encouraged them to perform even better in the future.
Some of the indirect subordinates wanted to ask Aksai if they could try their luck in the Core Formation Lord’s cultivation cave by departing from Emerald Cove. However, they all kept quiet when they received their rewards from Aksai. Who would risk their life inside a cultivation cave when they could get the same benefits by staying on Emerald Cove and working hard?
After settling everything, Aksai dismissed the meeting.
He felt reassured that his vineyard, the production of Bacchus’ Blessings wine, the Spirit farm, and other important projects were in capable hands.

Aksai spent the next few days observing his domain and spending quality time with his maids. During the daytime, he roamed through his lands and monitored the progress of his various projects.
In the evenings, he indulged in wine tasting and drew calligraphy-style runes on blank canvases for fun. His nights were spent entertaining the whims and fancies of his maids, who provided him with all kinds of “special services.”
Aksai wanted to leave the island and go to the Eternal Beast Dynasty to capture a compatible demon beast for himself, which he could then turn into his Aether Wisp. However, he couldn’t just leave the island and risk interrupting his bloodline refinement process.
Aksai could feel that the first stage of the bloodline refinement was very close to completion. He had decided that he would not start the second stage of the bloodline refinement anytime soon.
Only after completing the first stage could he safely leave his island.

There was another problem Aksai needed to consider before leaving the island: the threat of Kalingoot and the enemy sects backing the organization.
As such, he decided he should discuss things with Nuya first and foremost before making any plans to leave the island.
