Chapter 414: Entering Top 100 Ranking List
One had to remember that Aksai had sent a clone in the 2nd world he had unlocked for himself.
This clone kept on growing on his own with minimal interference from Aksai.
Although he was still yet to become a powerhouse by Acarnis’ standards, Aksai’s clone had already steadied his position in his world.
Reaching out with his mind, Aksai connected with his clone, Aron, who resided in the Aether World of Acarnis.
Using their soul-based telepathy, Aksai asked Aron to lend him some of his powers.
Thankfully, Aron wasn’t busy with his work in the RAD department, where schedules were relaxed and flexible.
Without hesitation, Aron settled into a meditative position, closed his eyes, and began channeling his advanced Aether Cultivation powers. Through their shared Soul Resonance, Aksai felt a surge of energy flood his soul, which was then manifested around his body.
A new, vibrant layer of purple Aether energy formed around him, weaving into his existing silvery Qi.
Back on the steps of Holy Land Torel, Aksai felt immediate relief as the purple Aether barrier absorbed most of the punishing rain and deflected the lightning strikes.
The silvery Qi continued to shield him from the remaining blows, and whatever managed to pass through was mitigated by his druidic defense and healing.
“This fucc*king 7th stage is crazy. It could kill someone. Did anyone from the past really manage to clear this stage?”
Aksai said to himself and shook his head. He felt that he could carry on ascending the stairs once again. He could once again breathe without wincing.
“I… I can’t play safe anymore. Can’t… can’t use SPirit spells. My Aether cultivation is on borrowed time and even my Silvery Qi can’t keep up with the consumption. I… I need to end things quickly while I can still walk.”
He took advantage of this newfound strength, abandoning caution and breaking into a run. Each stair felt like a battlefield, with elemental attacks intensifying as he surged forward.
Aksai could be seen practically sprinting towards the top, which, unbeknownst to him, wasn’t done by anyone even during the peak of the Holy Land Torel’s era. He was breaking all forms of records with his act.
By the 90th stair, even his multi-layered defense started to falter. The purple Aether energy thinned under the relentless assault, and the silvery Qi wavered. Small wounds reopened, and new ones appeared as Aksai’s druidic healing struggled to keep up.
But he refused to stop. With gritted teeth and eyes locked on the summit, he pushed through the pain. His legs burned with exhaustion, and his vision blurred, but his determination kept him upright.
“I have already invested so much in this stage. I stepped out of my comfort zone for this thing, damn it. I… I’m not returning without getting something for my efforts.”
Finally, after what felt like a lifetime, Aksai stepped onto the 100th stair. The attacks ceased as though a switch had been flipped. The heavy rain, sharp winds, and searing heat—all gone. The silence that followed was almost deafening.
“It… is it over?”
Aksai stood there, battered and bloodied, but victorious. The final step before him was a simple one, yet it demanded everything from him—not in strength, but in resolve.
Aksai dropped heavily onto the 100th step, feeling as if every bone in his body had been replaced with lead. His legs quivered, barely managing to hold him upright before he settled down with a deep sigh. The exhaustion was all-consuming—his mind, muscles, even the tips of his fingers throbbed with fatigue. Cultivating the Sun Moon Duality technique would have to wait. For now, regulating his breaths was all he could manage.
He felt the familiar rush of energy as his Spirit cultivation base, which had been sealed during the ascent, was unbound. The release was a wave of warmth that washed through him, clearing some of the mental fog that had set in. Aksai’s connection to his clone in Acarnis loosened, and he could almost sense the clone, Aron, heaving a sigh of relief.
“Good job, Aron. You deserve a break too,” Aksai muttered, the corner of his mouth twitching into a weary smile.
Just as he closed his eyes, ready to gather himself, a calm, neutral voice spoke in his mind, precise and emotionless. At the same time, spectral notifications materialized in the air, their glowing letters floating like ghosts in front of him.

Aksai blinked at the flood of messages. His brain, still sluggish from the climb, struggled to process the sheer number of achievements being listed. Before he could react further, the neutral voice spoke again.
[ Requesting the challenger to hold the sect token and recite his name ]
Aksai rubbed a hand over his face, pushing aside the exhaustion that threatened to drag him down.
“Hmm? This… The cave’s mechanism is getting more and more responsive as I’m proceeding further in the later stages,” he murmured, eyes scanning the ghostly text floating in front of him.
He then reached into the folds of his robe and pulled out the sect token, its jade surface cool against his fingers.
Taking a deep breath, he spoke clearly, “Aksai Everwood.”
The token glowed softly, and new messages appeared in rapid succession.
