Chapter 462: So Much to Learn from Old Monsters P02
The Green Glory Lord leaned forward slightly, his eyes settling on the young woman standing calmly before him.
His sharp gaze studied her face and posture for a moment before his lips curled into a polite smile.
“Lini,” he said with a smooth voice, “how are you doing?”
Lini Lowanfield bowed again, her movements graceful and full of respect. “I’m doing well, Master,” she replied softly. “Thank you for your concern. I’m sorry I couldn’t contact you because I was severely injured in an accident. But I’m fine now.”
Her voice was calm, her expression steady. She didn’t show a hint of what she had truly gone through.
There was no sign of the pain or fear she had faced, nor did she mention that she had been turned into a hybrid puppet by Aksai during their journey in the Wild Devil Lands.
She couldn’t betray Aksai after being turned into his hybrid puppet even if she wanted to. Besides, she knew very well that her so-called master didn’t truly care about her.
The Green Glory Lord nodded, his smile unchanged, but there was no warmth behind it.
In truth, he had never been truly interested in her well-being. Lini had been nothing more than a tool—a stepping stone.
He had sent her to the Wild Devil Lands not out of trust, but as a way to extend his reach, to make it easier for him to draw closer to Holy Land Torel and whatever secrets it held.
Still, it seemed the Blackblood Lord had other plans. The man clearly wanted to smooth things over. And from the look on his face, he might even be offering something in return.
Lord Liyen had no reason to hold onto Lini any longer. The pawn had fulfilled its purpose and was not needed anymore.
“You should return to the Green Glory Palace after the wedding,” he said in an even tone, as if giving her a routine instruction.
But Lini shook her head slowly.
“I’m grateful for everything the sect has given me, Master,” she said respectfully, “but I don’t want to go back.”
The Green Glory Lord raised a brow, clearly caught off guard.
“I want to try my own path,” Lini continued. “I’m planning to explore the Duya Forest and look for resources on my own. I’d like to cultivate freely without being tied to the sect.”
There was a brief silence.
“Very well,” Liyen said. “From this day on, you are no longer a direct disciple of mine, nor a core member of the Green Glory Palace.
You can still call me a Master though because you still carry the Green Glory Palace’s teachings. Feel free to come back to us anytime you want.”
Lini gave a deep, respectful bow.
“Thank you, Master.”
With that, the matter was settled. Just like that, the strings tying her to the Green Glory Palace were cut.
Aksai, standing quietly beside the Core Formation Lords’ table, let out a small breath in his heart. This outcome was better than anything he had hoped for.
He had only suppressed the underlying causes by taking Lini inside the Everwood Farm and turning into a puppet. But the Blackblood Lord’s influence got rid of the problem from its roots.
Of course, it wasn’t like Haitin couldn’t offer the Green Glory Lord the same deal his father had offered him. He and Aksai could think of a similar solution on their own.
However, they did not have the status of the Blackblood Lord. As such, they could not strike any form of deals with the Green Glory Lord as equals.
Lini Lowanfield gave one final bow to the Core Formation Lords’ table before stepping back. Her figure vanished from the stage just as quickly and silently as she had appeared.
Aksai watched her disappear with a thoughtful look before stepping forward. He bowed deeply to the Core Formation Lords seated before him.
“Thank you for your time, Lords.”

The mood among the Lords had lightened. Several of them nodded at Aksai with calm smiles, and a few even spoke.
“Congratulations on becoming the Blackblood Lord’s last direct disciple,” said the Frostbound Lord calmly. He was yet to meet his daughter and did not know that Nuya was very close to Aksai.
As such, the Frostbound Lord had no deep impressions of the man. Although he considered Aksai to be his saviour, he had already paid him in the form of giving him plenty of resources and Spirit stones. As such, as far as he was concerned, the debt of life was more or less paid.
“It may be just in name,” another Lord added, “but to carry the mark of a Lord’s guidance is still no small matter. Use it well.”
Aksai kept his expression steady and nodded, offering his thanks without sounding too humble or too proud. After a few more words of formality, he took his leave from the table and walked down the raised platform.
The wedding celebrations resumed after his departure. The air buzzed once again with soft music and the laughter of guests. The rituals continued, the guests mingled, and the bride and groom—Siya and Haitin—were surrounded by friends and allies alike.

By the time the sun dipped beyond the mountains, the wedding had come to an end.
The guests slowly scattered. Cultivators from both righteous and demonic factions disappeared one by one, leaving behind only silence and the occasional flicker of spiritual light in the night sky.
That night, long after the last guest had left, Aksai stood alone at the edge of a remote forest deep within the Blackblood Sect’s territory.
Before him stood a large palace—tall, dark, and quiet. Its structure was different from the main sect buildings. There were no guards, no servants, not even a barrier formation at the entrance.
It looked like it hadn’t been touched for decades, and yet… the gate was open, as if waiting just for him.
Aksai stepped forward.
Inside, the palace was oddly warm. Candles lit themselves one by one along the walls as he walked in.
The corridor ahead curved slightly, and at the far end stood the familiar figure of the Blackblood Lord—Hayaat Blackblood.
His in-name Core Formation realm master.
