Chapter 504: Unlocking First Epic Grade Druid Blessing
Aksai was already impressed by the upgrades to his two Druid Blessings—Callous Skin and Silent Wind.

The changes had brought clear improvements in both defense and stealth. He could feel the difference, and it gave him a sense of quiet confidence.

Now, it was time to check the third blessing. He wanted to see if it had changed just as much as the others.

He opened the spectral screen from the neural link fabric and brought up the familiar blessing’s previously available information analyzed by the neural link fabric.

[Druid’s Blessing: Druid’s Heart

Effect: For a limited time, the host’s heart rate surges to such a degree that it becomes audible in their ears. During this period, all body stats are temporarily boosted by 10%. Qi-essence-based.

Strength, response time, agility, and defenses are all elevated, enhancing the host’s overall combat abilities.

Not stackable: Cannot be triggered if already active.

Cooldown required: After activation, the blessing requires a short cooldown, dependent on the host’s condition, before reactivation.

Post-activation weakness: The host experiences fatigue and weakness following its use.

Type: Active

Grade: Uncommon]

These were the previous stats.

He scrolled further, his eyes widening slightly as he read the updated stats.

[Druid’s Blessing: Verdant Heart

Effect: For a limited time, the host’s heart rate surges to such a degree that it becomes audible in their ears. During this period, all body stats are temporarily boosted from 10 to 30% in three phases.

Qi Shell integration allows the user to use the Verdant Elder’s live heart as their own, enabling higher boosts in overall stats.

Spirit and Qi-essence-based.

Strength, response time, agility, and defenses are all elevated, enhancing the host’s overall combat abilities.

Stackable: The Verdant Heart can now be triggered thrice. First trigger enhances the stats by 10 percent, second activation enhances it by 20 percent, and third stack allows the overall stat boost of 30 percent.

Cooldown required: After activation, the blessing requires a cooldown, dependent on the host’s condition, before reactivation. The cooldown increases when the user chooses to stack the blessing’s effects. The more time it is stacked, the more the increment in the cooldown time.

Post-activation weakness: The host experiences fatigue and weakness following its use. The severity of the fatigue and weakness depends upon the number of times the blessing has been stacked.

Type: Active

Grade: Rare]

“Another blessing that is upgraded to Rare Grade. Are the grades of the blessings easy to change?”

Aksai exhaled quietly. He was first shocked by the change in grade. But after really thinking about the change in the blessing’s effect, he had to say that the grade change made sense.

This was indeed a major upgrade. The name had changed, the stats had increased, and the nature of the blessing had evolved. Now it wasn’t just a one-time boost. It was a controlled surge in power, with options to go higher at a cost.

“Let me try this blessing as well.”

He stepped onto the grassy patch in the center of the Spirit farm. The wind gently stirred the leaves of nearby trees, but Aksai’s focus was inward.

He activated the Verdant Heart with a single thought.

[ Verdant Heart: 10% Boost ]

His heartbeat instantly surged in his ears—steady and strong. A rush of warmth passed through his chest and spread to his limbs. He felt lighter, faster, and more focused.

He began to move.

Simple stretches turned into controlled movements. Punches sliced through the air, kicks cut clean lines, and his steps flowed smoothly over the earth. He performed a few martial art techniques he had learned over the years.

Each movement was sharper than before. His reflexes were faster. His body responded to his will perfectly.

He stacked the blessing again.

[ Verdant Heart: 20% Boost ]

The heartbeat in his ears grew louder, like distant war drums. His movements became even more fluid, more powerful.

It wasn’t just a strength boost—he felt like he was flowing with the world around him. Not just his strength, his perception had also been enhanced. It was as if the world itself was turning slow. As if the wind, the ground, and his own body were all in sync, elevating him from processing the time normally.

Finally, he reached the third stack.

[ Verdant Heart: 30% Boost ]

The full 30% boost was active. His veins pulsed faintly under his skin, green light weaving through them like a living current. Every motion carried weight and speed. Every stance felt unshakable. For a brief moment, he felt invincible.

But he didn’t push it for long. After a full minute of testing, Aksai halted his movements and slowly deactivated the blessing.

The thundering beat in his ears faded, and a wave of mild fatigue settled into his limbs.

The fatigue wasn’t too much as he had not been in actual fights or used any Spirit-based or Qi-based attacks. As such, things were manageable. He could recover from this quickly.

After testing the three druid blessings, it was time for the last one.

He tapped the floating panel lightly, bringing up the previous stats of the fourth blessing.

[Druid’s Blessing: Fire Resistance

Effect: For a limited time, the host gains the ability to resist fire damage.

All types of fire damage are reduced by 50%. Spirit-essence-based.

Enhanced protection against non-intent-based fire-element Spirit spells.

Stackable: The blessing’s uptime can be extended using suitable potions or enhanced with a compatible artifact.

Cooldown required: After activation, the blessing requires a short cooldown, depending on the host’s physical condition and the environment.

Type: Active

Grade: Rare]

It had been reliable so far—a solid defense against fire-based attacks. But now, a new screen blinked to life right beside it.

[Druid’s Blessing: Agni Serpent Spirit

Effect: For a limited time, the host gains the ability to resist fire damage.

All types of fire damage are reduced by 50%. Also, all fire-element Spirit Spell attacks inflict 50 percent additional damage.

Spirit-essence-based.

Enhanced protection against non-intent-based fire-element Spirit spells. Enhanced effects for all fire-element Spirit Spells if performed while the Verdant Heart is active.

Stackable: The blessing’s uptime can be extended using suitable potions or enhanced with a compatible artifact. Also, compatible to be used with Verdant Heart and Super Callous Skin.

Cooldown required: After activation, the blessing requires a short cooldown, depending on the host’s physical condition and the environment.

Type: Active

Grade: Epic]

Aksai blinked. “Epic grade…” he muttered under his breath, barely believing his eyes.

This was the first Epic Grade blessing he had ever seen attached to himself. His heart thumped with excitement.

The power to reduce fire damage was still there, but now it also gave him the ability to amplify fire-element Spirit spells. It had turned from a purely defensive blessing into a dual-purpose one—both shield and blade.

“I need to test this,” he said quietly.

He sent a mental signal through his neural link, and not long after, a feminine figure appeared in front of him. Lini Lowanfield was present in the Enchanted Everwood Farm.

“You called?” she asked with curiosity. Even though she had been turned into a puppet, she was a special case. She had retained her soul and her identity. As such, she could interact with Aksai the same way she did when she first met him.

“I need you to cast a 2nd Order fire-element Spirit Spell on me,” Aksai said calmly.

“Don’t hold back.”

Lini blinked at him, confused. “You want me to burn you?”

He nodded. “Just trust me. I’ll be fine.”

Still unsure, Lini raised both hands and began drawing a circle in the air. Red light began to gather around her fingers. The temperature in the air rose sharply.

Meanwhile, Aksai stood still and activated his fourth blessing.

At once, a tingling sensation ran through his arms and legs. The dull tattoos shaped like serpents along his limbs began to glow—fiery red and orange—twisting slightly as if alive. The serpents moved along his skin, coiling upward in a rhythmic, flowing motion.

The feeling wasn’t painful. It was warm, like standing too close to a campfire, but not uncomfortable. He could feel the Spirit essence weaving through his blood and bones, settling over his skin like an invisible mesh.

He quickly realized that blessing’s Epic Grade was related to the Verdant Elder’s genetic mutation. The demon beast’s snaketail was the reason behind the blessing’s enhanced effects. Suffice to say, the Spirit farmer was even more excited than before.

“Now,” he said.

Lini flung the spell forward. A wave of blazing fire shot out—its roar cutting through the quiet of the Spirit farm. The flame twisted in the air, shaped like a wide arc of burning petals, aimed directly at Aksai.

The fire hit.

But instead of burning through him, it washed over him like water.

There was a ripple, a wave of heat—then nothing. The serpent tattoos glowed even brighter, reacting to the spell’s energy. Some of the flames were actually drawn inward for a moment before vanishing completely.

The snake tattoos had actually absorbed some of the fire essence that was in the Spirit spell aimed to harm him.

Aksai didn’t even flinch. He felt the heat, yes, but it didn’t harm him. The barrier and blessing had taken the full brunt of it.

“That’s… insane,” Lini whispered from where she stood.

“That should’ve at least turned your skin red if not outright burned you.

But this….”
