Chapter 1820: Exploring The Mountain With City Lord Vaughn
With City Lord Vaughn taking the lead, the others joined him, each looking for an empty spot, taking a seat cross-legged, shutting their eyes.

Grey was already sitting cross-legged, although his eyes were closed like everyone else, he was constantly communicating with both Void and the bunny leader, trying to see if either of them had sensed anything valuable, or dangerous.

The duo’s feedback was fast, given their speed, it was quite easy for them to run a sweep over a mountain of this size.

‘Oh, there’s an abandoned Manor hidden behind the mountain?’ Grey’s interest was piqued. From his guess, the abandoned Manor isn’t the place City Lord Vaughn was taking them to. He opened his eyes, after taking a cursory glance at everyone present, he shut his eyes once again. If he were to tell them that he wanted to check something out, he would arouse the curiosity of the others. Places like these were better investigated alone, that way, he could gain the most. Besides, he wouldn’t be exploring it alone since he would always have Void and the bunny leader by his side.

Time flew by and it was soon nightfall, no one made a sound as they all waited for the change City Lord Vaughn said would occur by nightfall.

Late in the night, just when the others were starting to get a bit impatient, a strange speck of light mysteriously appeared. The light naturally drew the attention of everyone present, with City Lord Vaughn looking at the light without any surprises. It’s obvious he expected this to happen.

After the first speck of light, before anyone could investigate it, more and more specks of light started to appear. Although the lights were that big, they gave off a strange aura that made even Grey’s heart skip a bit.

Grey quickly became alert the moment he noticed this, he has always been one who didn’t dare to be careless in such expeditions, so the moment he noticed the abnormality, he entered an alert state. Looking around, he tried to see if he could figure out the cause of this. Unfortunately, no matter how he looked and probed, he couldn’t locate what the danger was.

Like the others, he looked at City Lord Vaughn with a questioning expression. City Lord Vaughn only told them to exercise patience. Another hour went by in this fashion with everyone quietly observing the strange specks of light. Only after the specks of lights got a certain level did the scene before them changed.

The specks of lights, in their thousands, gathered in a specific spot on the mountain. Grey didn’t take his eyes off these lights, not just that, but his spiritual senses were also probing and investigating them. The second the specks of light started moving, he noticed that it was actually moving in the form of an array formation. It didn’t take long before everyone saw what was hidden behind the place the speck of light gathered, a secret passage into the mountain. This passage was covered by a thin veil made by the light specks.

“Let’s go.” City Lord Vaughn stood up immediately the passage appeared, walking in its direction.

Grey and the others followed behind City Lord Vaughn.

City Lord Vaughn, being the one who invited everyone here, took the lead, taking a step through the veil and into the passage. Lord Harry closely followed behind him, accompanied by the other two City Lords. Grey was the last to step into the passage. Standing in front of the passage, he looked at the specks of lights, a bit amazed by them. He could sense that this was the working of an array formation, and his eyes gave off a brilliant glow as he studied the light.

He didn’t stay in this state for a long period, this wasn’t the time to try to study these light specks. Stepping into the passage, he felt a cold sharp wind hit his face as soon as passed through the opening. His expression changed as he quickly circulated his essence to protect his body from the somewhat grating wind. He noticed the others covered themselves with their essence, but they all had small cuts that were healing, City Lord Vaughn included.

City Lord Vaughn looked at everyone with an embarrassed and apologetic expression, “I’m sorry, I forgot about this small issue.”

Grey took a glance at City Lord Vaughn, but didn’t say anything, only keeping his senses on high alert. From City Lord Vaughn’s expression, it didn’t seem like he was lying about forgetting about this minor issue. Given how little the essence needed to shield this was, it could be negligible. Of course, that doesn’t mean he trusted City Lord Vaughn, for someone his age, acting embarrassed and apologetic can’t be that hard.

Lord Harry didn’t have any problems with the City Lord’s apology, he has been following the City Lord for a long time, and since this didn’t cause any harm, there’s no point worrying about it.

The other two City Lords exchanged glances, but remained silent.

Grey took this time to take a proper view of the place, before stepping through the passage, he knew this was a tunnel that led deep into the mountain. Without the light from the passage, the tunnel was still brightly lit with glowing stones embedded on the walls of the tunnel. The tunnel was wide enough for four people to walk side by side, and around three meters tall.

Seeing that none of them had anything else to say, City Lord Vaughn took the lead, taking the group deeper into the tunnel. None of them were in a hurry, the grating wind that welcomed them was enough to make all of them cautious.

They walked for about an hour or so before they finally came to the end of the tunnel. Getting to the end of the tunnel, they saw an opening, and the other side of the opening didn’t seem to be like it was inside the mountain due to how bright it was.
