Affinity:Chaos - Chapter 1845
Chapter 1845: Terrifying Foe
Bang!
Grey’s figure slammed into the ground. Looking across, Lord Everard and Godric who wanted to advance forward in hopes of using this opportunity to take Grey out were forced to retreat by two ice snakes.
Grey hurriedly crawled out of the crater, looking at his body condition, he could not help but grimace. It had not been too long since he recovered from the injuries caused by the Peak Sovereign Elemental Warrior, now he was forced to take multiple dangerous attacks from four Ninth stage Sovereigns. Luckily, he was able to incapacitate four Eighth stage Sovereigns, quickly reducing the pressure on him, even though it was barely.
Since the last Sovereign Grey killed, he had not been allowed to go near the surviving two. Lord Everard and Godric, being the strongest among the group, took it upon themselves to keep Grey in check. The other two Ninth stage Sovereigns were in charge of making Grey’s life harder. At this moment, the two surviving Eighth stage Sovereign were completely left out of the battle. They will only end up dead if they involve themselves in a battle of such magnitude, especially with an enemy like Grey who could come and go as he pleases.
The other two Ninth stage Sovereigns were not impeded like Lord Everard and Godric, so they charged at Grey. They could tell that this was not an enemy they could allow to leave this place alive. Grey’s potential is beyond frightening, at this stage, they saw it as Godly. Encircled by four Ninth stage Sovereigns who even used their special methods to improve their strength yet still able to last more than a minute is beyond believable. If not for the fact that this was happening to them, they would have never believed it if they heard it somewhere else.
Rushing to where Grey landed, the duo unleashed their respective attacks, hoping to deal the finishing blow to the latter.
Grey, on the other hand, hurriedly retreated. Given his current state, he could not hang on any longer.
‘It’s ready.’
While Grey was thinking if he should use his fusion orb, he heard what he had been waiting for all this while. Thanks to Grey, Void has become an expert in setting up spatial arrays, well, his mastery of the space element made it easier for him to master it. If he was given another array, he would be clueless.
Hearing Void tell him the array formation was ready made his mood better. Without hesitation, he made the two ice snakes entangled with Lord Everard and Godric to explode. Both were already close to their breaking points after holding the duo back for only about a second or two, so it did not really matter if he self-destructed them or not.
The blast forced Lord Everard and Godric back, giving Grey the opportunity to run straight in the direction where the Magical Beasts were chained.
“Stop him!” Lord Everard roared, looking in Grey’s direction he sneered while giving chase, “You think you can run?”
Godric also stabilized himself and also gave chase, he could not allow Grey to escape from his grasp again.
The other two were the ones who were closer to Grey, and they started unleashing attack after attack in an effort to stop him from leaving.
Grey did not try to evade some of these attacks, using the momentum from the impact of an attack, his speed increased and a four kilometers distance was crossed in a matter of a second.
Getting to where the Magical Beasts were chained, Grey turned around, staring icily at the two Ninth stage Sovereigns.
The duo paused, not daring to get close. They were not fools, seeing Grey stop here meant that he obviously had a plan in mind. They looked at the Magical Beasts and their expressions turned even more curious. These Magical Beasts might be strong, but even if Grey releases them, they will be of no use in such a battle. They will end up like the Eighth stage Sovereigns Grey killed from the Twilight Faction.
Lord Everard and Godric arrived a second later, both also pausing. Like the other two they could tell Grey had a reason for stopping in front of these Magical Beasts.
“Boy, are you hoping to get help from these Beasts?” Lord Everard raised a brow, before adding, “Although they are powerful, they will not be able to change your fate today. This will be the day you die.”
Lord Everard’s words were like a decree as it felt like Grey’s life and death was in his hands and he decided there was no point in Grey living on.
Grey’s eyes remained cold, he didn’t need to respond to Lord Everard’s words, closing his eyes, the teleportation array which had been invisible all this while suddenly lit up.
“An array formation, destroy it!” Lord Everard panicked, attacking even before finishing his statement.
At the same time the array formation lit up, Grey’s cold voice rang out, “For today’s injustice, I will surely get my revenge.”
Bang!
Lord Everard’s attack was the first to crash into the glowing formation, but it was a tad late. Right after his attack struck, the attack of the other three struck.
A few seconds later the dust settled and the eyes of Lord Everard and the others almost popped out of their sockets. The reason for this was because neither Grey nor any of the Magical Beasts which were chained there a few seconds ago were gone. None of them believed Grey and the Magical Beasts were reduced to dust by their attacks, but rather, they miraculously disappeared.
Lord Everard’s face turned dark at the realization of what just happened, “He can also infuse it in array formations.”
The others did not need him to point it out as they also saw what just happened. Nonetheless, they still found it hard to believe. Grey being able to instantaneously go from one place to another could already be regarded as impossible, now he not only can do it for himself, but he could also take others with him.
“What sort of terrifying foe have we provoked?”
