Chapter 1034: Brian Junior Causes Trouble
“Hello, your meal has arrived.”
“My meal?” Zhouzhou was puzzled. “I didn’t order anything.”
Curious, she opened the door, only to see a server standing outside, bowing gracefully. His voice was deep and magnetic, “Would you like me to bring it in for you?”
Zhouzhou’s lips curled into a mischievous smile, and as if realizing something, she quickly composed herself and replied with a blank expression, “Okay. Please come in.”
She opened the door wide for him.
Once the “server” entered, she quickly closed the door behind him. Without warning, she pounced on him, climbing into his arms with excitement. “Daddy!”
Ye Lingfeng had disguised himself, making his features rather plain, even somewhat unattractive, yet Zhouzhou immediately recognized him and clung to him, refusing to let go.
She nestled her little head against his neck and cooed, “Daddy, I missed you! I really, really missed you.”
Her voice trembled slightly with emotion.
Ye Lingfeng pinched her little face and smiled. “Didn’t I come here just now?”
“Mm-hmm.” Zhouzhou nodded and kissed him a few times, giggling happily.
Ye Lingfeng couldn’t bring himself to let her go. He complimented her, “You did really well today.”
At his praise, Zhouzhou puffed out her chest with pride and curiously asked, “Daddy, did you see everything today?”
“Mm, I saw you the moment you entered the hotel. You looked exhausted.”
Zhouzhou had been leaning on Qin Er’s arm, yawning occasionally, and she had looked so sleepy that she could have fallen asleep right there. Her hair was a mess from the nap.
Embarrassed at the thought, Zhouzhou scratched her head and pouted, “The flight was so long.”
Then, remembering something, she quickly added, “Oh, right! I saw a big bad guy in the restaurant!”
Ye Lingfeng nodded, already knowing who she was talking about. “That’s Kurosaki. The little boy is Brian Junior. Stay away from him, don’t go near him.”
Zhouzhou nodded solemnly. She had realized this too.
It was just a small accident — she had accidentally stepped on Brian Junior’s foot, and Kurosaki had seemed ready to kill her. She had no doubt that if there hadn’t been so many people around, he would have made a move.
She told Ye Lingfeng about her feelings, and he grew serious. “He’s not afraid of the crowd. Half of the people he kills are done quietly in front of everyone, and nobody even notices.”
Zhouzhou’s eyes widened in surprise. “He’s that powerful!”
Ye Lingfeng continued, “His martial arts skills are average, but his ability to conceal his presence is exceptional. What you sensed today was probably just him letting out a little bit of killing intent because he was on guard. Zhouzhou, you must learn to control your reactions in these situations.”
He was here to talk to her about this. If she weren’t a child, Kurosaki wouldn’t have taken her seriously, and she would have exposed herself today.
Then, he added, “But you reacted quickly later on. That was great.”
Zhouzhou wasn’t upset at all. She understood that her dad wasn’t criticizing her but was only trying to protect her.
“I understand, Daddy. I’ve memorized his scent. I won’t let that happen again.”
“Good girl.” Ye Lingfeng smiled, ruffling her hair. “My little girl is the best.”
He then got up, took the snacks from the small cart, and placed them on the table. “If you’re hungry later, you can eat these in the room. Try not to go outside. Afterward, just stay with your classmates. Remember, you’re here to compete.”

“Mm-hmm!” Zhouzhou nodded eagerly, looking up at him with reluctance. “Daddy, are you leaving?”
Ye Lingfeng hesitated, not wanting to part from her, but he was just a disguised waiter right now, so he couldn’t stay too long.
“I’ll come see you again when I have the chance.”
“Okay.” Zhouzhou tugged at his clothes, but reluctantly let go.
Her dad had business to take care of, so she couldn’t hold him up.
Seeing how understanding his little girl was made Ye Lingfeng’s heart soften. He leaned in and kissed her chubby cheek before pushing the cart out.
Just as he opened the door, Zhouzhou suddenly called out, “Wait!”
She rushed over, took a few euros from her pocket, and placed them on the cart. “Here’s your tip.”
Since the door was already open, she spoke with a business-like tone, but secretly winked at him.
Ye Lingfeng chuckled inwardly. “Thank you. Have a nice meal.”
With that, he pushed the cart out of the room.
Behind him, a figure stood silently in the corner, eyes fixed on his retreating back.
Ye Lingfeng didn’t react. When he encountered another server, he greeted him casually, showing off his tip with pride.
Seeing this, Kurosaki finally left the area.
Ye Lingfeng’s expression remained unchanged until he was out of sight of any cameras. Only then did his smile fade.
Kurosaki was truly elusive. If not for his experience, he probably wouldn’t have noticed him at all.
His thoughts lingered on the killing intent Kurosaki had released toward Zhouzhou today. A cold glint flashed in his eyes.
Anyone who dares to scare his daughter would have to pay.

The next morning, Zhouzhou, all dressed and ready, bounced out of her room to find Qin Er for breakfast.
Her dad had told her to treat this as a competition, nothing more.
She was here to earn money from the competition, but also to take advantage of the situation.
She knocked on Qin Er’s door, and he immediately stepped out. The two of them walked hand in hand toward the dining hall.
As soon as the restaurant staff saw Zhouzhou, they tensed up, urging the chefs to make more food. Otherwise, if more guests arrived and found the food running low, they’d surely be unhappy.
This little girl ate like there was no tomorrow!
The chefs weren’t upset, though. The guests at this hotel were all high-end, and for them, eating was more of a social event than a necessity. Most of them only picked at their food, leaving much of it behind. This made the chefs question their culinary skills.
But when Zhouzhou came, she ate so much that they all gained confidence in their cooking.
They would make as much food as she wanted!
Zhouzhou didn’t realize how popular she was at the hotel. Every time she went to get food, she was overjoyed. She came back to Qin Er, grinning, “Brother Dafu, I want to eat the stir-fried dishes from home.”
Food here wasn’t as great as what they had back home.
Qin Er, though, could hold back. “It’s free, just bear with it.”
Alright, Zhouzhou wasn’t picky and dug into the food happily.
By the time Elder Xiao and the others arrived, Zhouzhou had already devoured half of her meal. Just in time, they finished eating, and the group headed out.
All around her were kids around eleven or twelve years old.
The organizers had booked the entire hotel just for them.
Zhouzhou saw Brian Junior again.
Remembering what her dad had said about staying away from him, she quickly looked away after a single glance.
But Brian Junior was staring at her. Frowning, he walked over with his usual arrogant tone. “So, you’re the youngest contestant this time?”
