He had initially thought that he was the youngest finalist, but to his surprise, there was actually someone two years younger than him.

When he realized this, he couldn’t help but glance at her a few more times. He also remembered her as the one who had stepped on his shoe the day before and had eaten a lot—like a pig. Originally, he thought she looked a bit dim-witted, but to his surprise, she was actually quite impressive.

Seeing that he wasn’t being very friendly, Qin Er pulled Zhouzhou behind him and asked in a calm tone, “Is there something you want?”

Brian Junior looked at him and asked, “Are you the first place from Hua Country?”

Qin Er nodded, “Yes.”

Zhouzhou repeated what Brian Junior had just said. After hearing it, Elder Xiao was so angry that he almost laughed. “Well then, let’s see who’s better. Little Er, Zhouzhou, show him everything you’ve got! Whether one of you wins the championship or not, it’s fine as long as you beat him!”

He then turned to the other eight children. “You all need to work hard as well.”

“Mm!” Several of the kids nodded in unison. At first, they hadn’t felt much about the competition—they were mostly excited to be traveling abroad. But now, seeing someone challenging them, their blood was suddenly fired up.

They were going to prove to everyone that kids from Hua Country were amazing!

Seeing their morale rise, Elder Xiao didn’t hesitate to take advantage of the moment. He led them back to their rooms and handed them a set of exam papers. After grading them, he explained the details of the competition.

The competition would officially start the day after tomorrow, and the next few days were just for registration.

In the video, each person had a small screen in front of them, with a large screen in the center for the audience to see.

When they were training a few weeks ago, he had used a similar format, though they had spoken the answers aloud back then. This time, they would need to type them out.

He then took out a tablet, opened the question bank, and showed it to them. The format on the tablet was almost identical to that of the actual competition, allowing them to familiarize themselves with it.

Finally, Elder Xiao looked at Zhouzhou. “Zhouzhou, do you understand how to do this?”

He wasn’t worried about her answering the questions. She was the smartest student he had ever taught—quick-witted and fast at solving problems. His only concern was that she was still young and might not be familiar with the technology. If that became an issue, it could cause problems.

Zhouzhou immediately nodded. “I understand it.”

Not only did she understand it, but she could also handle the quiz game with ease.

Despite her short fingers, she was fast on the keyboard.

This task was simple—just writing the answers and clicking submit.

To put him at ease, Zhouzhou grabbed the tablet and solved a few questions in front of him. Each answer was typed almost instantly with just a tap of her finger.

There were five questions in total, and she got them all right.

Seeing this, Elder Xiao let out a sigh of relief. “Sorry, I was just a bit nervous.”

He looked at them and said, “When you get to the competition, just relax. Treat it like a regular test. As long as you stay focused and do your best, don’t worry about whether someone beats you. Stay calm, as your mental state is just as important as your performance in the competition.”

The children nodded in unison.

Elder Xiao was a bit concerned that they might not be able to handle the pressure, but then he remembered how much pressure they’d already dealt with up until now. The challenges they had faced in their country were no less difficult than what they were facing now.

With that thought, he relaxed. He couldn’t tell them not to be nervous while he himself was tense—it would only make things worse for them.

“Alright.” He said cheerfully, “Let’s do a few more practice questions to work on speed. We’ll push through these next couple of days. After the competition, I’ll take you all out to eat!”

The children cheered at this.

“Master, how about you treat us after we go back home?”

They were getting pretty tired of hamburgers.

Back home, they always craved them, but now that they had been eating them regularly, they were starting to lose their appetite.

“Alright.” Elder Xiao nodded quickly. “We’ll do it your way.”

Zhouzhou grinned, looking forward to the meal.

She would take every opportunity to eat!

Elder Xiao, noticing her sparkling eyes, shivered a little. He had a feeling his pension might not survive this.

But if the little girl managed to bring home a prize, he’d happily buy her as many meals as she wanted!

He wasn’t sure whether Zhouzhou or Qin Er would win the championship, but either way, he had to root for them. It was tough being a teacher—whether one won or both of them placed highly, it would be a victory in his eyes.

He wasn’t about to get too optimistic though. Everyone participating was from top-tier countries, and getting into the top three wasn’t easy. After all, Hua Country hadn’t made it into the top three in the past five years.

Thinking about that, he felt a bit discouraged.

But then, he quickly shook off the negative thoughts. It was best to let things unfold naturally. He had confidence in his students.

With that, he focused on the task at hand, practicing with them. The day of the competition soon arrived.

Once they were at the competition venue, Zhouzhou’s height was no longer a consideration—they were all given the same standard desks.

Except for Brian Junior, of course. His desk was completely different from the others, crafted from solid gold, with the height customized to suit his stature. It screamed wealth and status.

He glanced at Zhouzhou and frowned. “Give her a different desk.”

Upon hearing this, the invigilator was about to speak, but before he could, Brian Junior’s bodyguards quickly moved a smaller desk into place for Zhouzhou.

She hadn’t expected this, but when she saw the desk being moved in, she blinked and turned her head.

It was no surprise, though, that she was met with another pair of nostrils.

Brian Junior raised his chin and said, “Don’t make excuses for your failure. I’m going to defeat you fair and square.”

He wanted to prove that he was the best kid.

He added, “Remember my face—I’m the one who will beat you.”

Zhouzhou looked at him, feeling a bit awkward.

Since their first meeting, they had already seen each other three times, but she still hadn’t really gotten a good look at his face. The only thing she remembered was his nostrils.

Brian Junior, unaware of her thoughts, turned away after speaking.

Zhouzhou didn’t say anything else. When the papers were handed out, she immediately began working on them.

Time passed quickly. Before long, time was up, and the invigilators swiftly collected the papers.

As they stepped outside, Zhouzhou saw many of the other participants looking disappointed—they hadn’t finished their papers. This was the first time they had encountered such a situation, and they were clearly struggling.

Brian Junior, recalling that Zhouzhou had finished early, was about to say something else to her when he saw her, holding Qin Er’s hand, running excitedly toward the dining area. “Time to eat!” she said cheerfully.
