Chapter 1113: Zhouzhou’s Fury
Zhouzhou was absolutely furious.
In her heart, the Abbot was also her master. If it weren’t for the fact that the Abbot Master had found her in the icy wilderness and saved her life, she might have long since been dead. For her, the Abbot Master was her savior.
Although she was later sent to the Taoist temple, she knew that the Abbot Master would often sneak over to the temple to deliver vegetables, afraid that she would go hungry. To her, he and Li Yuanming were both lifelong mentors. Senior Brother Jingkong was no different; when she left the mountain many years ago, he had even given her a copper bowl. They were all good people, her family.
Now, to think that her master and senior brother were being bullied like this—it was beyond tolerable! If she didn’t make the person who hurt them suffer a fate worse than death, she would no longer be Fugui!
Suppressing her fury, Zhouzhou arrived at the mountain. As soon as she saw the troublemaker standing in the yard, her anger erupted. In a few strides, she rushed up and kicked the man out of the temple grounds.
The Buddhist temple was a holy place; bloodshed wasn’t allowed inside, but outside the gates, it was a different story.
Without a second glance at him, she turned her attention to the main hall, where Abbot Master Yiyun, was sitting, his head wrapped in bandages, gazing sorrowfully at the Buddha statue.
The attack had come so suddenly. They were all chanting, and they hadn’t had time to react before the man had swung his hammer. Luckily, something had caused the hammer to deflect, and it hadn’t broken the statue. It merely grazed it, not even leaving a scratch.
Even so, Yiyun was still devastated.
Seeing the wound on his head made Zhouzhou’s rage flare even more.
Just then, Ancestral Master floated over, a proud expression on his face. “If it weren’t for me, that Buddha statue would be gone by now.”
It was true; the hammer had been blocked by him. Though he didn’t get along with the monks because of their different beliefs and cultures, he couldn’t just stand by and watch the statue be destroyed. After all, they had been neighbors for many years. No one could hurt his neighbors without his consent.
Zhouzhou was taken aback by his unexpected help. “Thank you, Ancestral Master, on behalf of my Abbot Master.”
“You are welcome.” Ancestral Master smiled, puffing out his chest, full of self-importance.
Zhouzhou didn’t have time for his praise. She quickly went to the main hall, lit incense, and then turned to Yiyun. Gently, she placed her hand on his arm. “Sorry, Abbot Master. I’m late.”
Yiyun gazed at her with moist eyes. He glanced at Jingkong and seemed to understand what had happened. Sighing, he said, “I told them not to disturb you.”
There were still so many things to handle.
Zhouzhou shook her head. “This is my home. How could I not come back when there’s trouble?”
She helped him sit in a chair, then reached for a bottle of medicine. “You rest here, I’ll take care of it.”
Handing the bottle to Jingkong, she said, “Senior Brother Jingkong, please help the Abbot Master with his wound first.”
With that, she walked out.
Today, she was dressed in a tracksuit with her hair tied in a high ponytail. She looked youthful and full of energy. However, her face was cold as ice, and her aura felt like that of a vengeful spirit from hell.
“You damn—”
The man, who had been kicked out, scrambled to his feet, furiously charging back into the temple to find Zhouzhou and settle the score with her.
But before he could take two steps, Mu Xuan stretched out his leg, and with a loud “thud,” the man fell, landing on a stone. The taste of rust immediately filled his mouth.
A sharp object was lodged in his mouth. Spitting it out, he saw that it was one of his own front teeth!
“Ahhhhhhh!” he screamed in agony.
Mu Xuan, looking indifferent, calmly withdrew his leg, standing quietly as if nothing had happened.
Xie Ziyue, taking advantage of the situation, kicked the stones aside, crossing his arms and watching the man with cold eyes.
Dare to insult his junior sister? Now his teeth were smashed!

Zhouzhou glanced at the large hammer on the ground, bent down, and effortlessly picked it up with one hand. The hammer, which had been heavy for the man to lift, was nothing for her.
Seeing this, the man’s eyes went wide in shock. Finally, he realized something was wrong and looked at her with growing fear.
Zhouzhou walked toward the temple gates, turned to the monk by the door, and said, “Senior Brother, please close the door.”
What was coming next wasn’t something the Abbot Master should witness. He was too soft-hearted.
Because of the incident, the temple’s patrons had been evacuated, and so had the nearby Taoist temple. No one knew if the madman would cause trouble there next.
Now, it was only their own people in the temple, which made things easier.
The monk didn’t hesitate and immediately shut the door. He understood that Zhouzhou had come to avenge them.
As Buddhists, they weren’t allowed to harm others, but Zhouzhou wasn’t bound by such restrictions.
The door slammed shut, and from inside, the Abbot Master’s voice came through. He was still trying to persuade Zhouzhou to calm down, but Zhouzhou pretended not to hear.
With the hammer still in hand, she slowly walked toward the man.
“Everyone inside is my master and senior brother,” she said, her voice icy.
“They spend their days eating vegetarian meals and chanting, they wouldn’t even harm an ant.”
“Even being hurt, they still told me not to beat you up.”
At this, Zhouzhou’s eyes reddened further.
She felt heartache for the Abbot Master and Senior Brother Jingkong. They were such good people. How dared this man bully them?
It was all because he relied on them being good people, and knowing they wouldn’t retaliate.
Well, that was going to end now.
Her face expressionless, Zhouzhou continued, “I haven’t been a Buddhist for over ten years.”
“I don’t need to follow their rules.”
“And more importantly, the one thing I don’t lack is the blood of villains.”
At these words, the man’s eyes went wide in terror. He could feel the killing intent radiating from her and felt his legs turn to jelly.
He backed away, shaking, and stammered, “Y-you can’t hit me!”
“They had said so!”
“If you hit me, I’ll go online and ruin you! I’ll make sure this broken temple can’t stay open!”
This fool had no idea how marketing worked. He planned to sell a sob story about how “monks hit people,” and that would draw all the attention, getting them slammed with bad publicity.
Feeling emboldened by this thought, he straightened up and glared at Zhouzhou defiantly. “Come on, hit me! I dare you!”
Hearing this, Zhouzhou suddenly smiled, her expression softening, with two small dimples appearing on her cheeks, making her look utterly innocent.
She nodded, her tone serious. “Okay, I’m a good person, and I always listen.”
With that, her eyes flickered with coldness. She raised the large hammer, and with all her might, swung it at him…
