Chapter 1148: Sweet Talking Zhouzhou
Outside the Yin family’s estate, Zhouzhou stood with her hands behind her back, peering curiously through the gates.
“Ancestral Master, is this the Yin family’s place?” she asked, marveling at the surroundings.
She hadn’t expected there to be such a bamboo forest near Jiulong Mountain, the environment was so serene, it almost felt like a place where immortals would reside.
Zhouzhou then asked, “Ancestral Master, do you know him?”
Without hesitation, Ancestral Master shook his head, “I don’t, but your Master does.”
Zhouzhou’s eyes lit up, “In that case, I’ll go ask Master to help persuade him to join us.”
“Better not,” Ancestral Master advised seriously, “If you really want him to join, it’s better if he doesn’t know you’re your Master’s disciple.”
“Why?” Zhouzhou was puzzled. She hadn’t heard Li Yuanming mention Yin Hua before, so she didn’t understand why there would be any issues. “Do they have a grudge or something?”
Ancestral Master explained, “Yin Hua once wanted to join Sanqing Temple, but back then, your Master’s master, who’s also your Master’s teacher, didn’t think much of him. Instead, he chose your Master.”
Zhouzhou now understood, and her brows furrowed, “So this guy can’t be that impressive, right?”
If he couldn’t even compare to her Master, then surely he wasn’t much.
Ancestral Master shook his head, “It’s not that, someone who can stand shoulder to shoulder with Tang Qing can’t be an ordinary person. It’s just that fate didn’t favor him.”
Zhouzhou replied, “Well, if it were me, I’d probably be pretty upset too.”
Losing to anyone else was fine, but losing to Li Yuanming? That would be embarrassing.
But, as her Master’s disciple, she still had to speak up for him: “But this isn’t something Master can decide, he shouldn’t hate him for that.”
At this, Ancestral Master fell silent for a moment. “After your Master joined the sect, he made a flag, paraded it with loud drums in front of the Yin family’s gates, and kept bragging about how he had beaten Yin Hua.”
Back then, Yin Hua had been the most talented in the Yin family. Li Yuanming had gained some fame in the Mystery Sect by stepping on him, but it didn’t take long for his true nature to be exposed.
Even so, Yin Hua had never forgiven him.
Zhouzhou was silent for a moment, then responded with a resigned sigh, “Well, that sounds exactly like something Master would do. I’m not even surprised.”
She couldn’t help but chuckle—her Master really did know how to make things work out for himself. No wonder he was always so happy.
Even Ancestral Master had to admit, there was something charming about his ability to deceive himself so well.
“You know the situation now,” he said, patting her on the shoulder, “Just don’t mention it to anyone.”
“Got it!” Zhouzhou nodded firmly, signaling her understanding.
She looked around again, saw that no one was coming, and called out, “Is anyone there?”
Soon, a butler appeared, dressed in formal attire. “Who are you?”
Zhouzhou immediately flashed a charming smile and said in a sweet voice, “Hello, Grandpa, I’m Qin Caicai, but everyone calls me Zhouzhou. Just call me Zhouzhou!”
The young girl was pretty, along with her sweet demeanor had instantly win the favor from the butler. His expression softened.
Zhouzhou quickly seized the opportunity, “Grandpa, I have something I need to ask Master Yin’s help with. Could I meet him?”
The butler, who was used to people coming to seek out Yin Hua for advice, was unfazed. He simply said, “Sorry, Master Yin only sees people who have made an appointment.”
Zhouzhou quickly responded, “But I already called him earlier.”

The butler was surprised. She had Master Yin’s number? That was unusual, since his Master rarely gave contact information with others. Even if he did, he would leave the butler’s number instead of his own.
After some thought, the butler said, “Please wait here for a moment, I’ll check with Master Yin.”
“Okay!” Zhouzhou nodded.
After a brief pause, Yin Hua, who had been pondering her call, immediately remembered who it was.
“It’s that girl!” he growled, narrowing his eyes. “Drive her away!”
The butler hesitated, but before he could say anything, Yin Shuo interjected, “Grandpa, why not let me go out and meet her?”
Yin Hua frowned. “Why waste time on her?”
Yin Shuo replied, “Anyone bold enough to make such a request must have some skill. I’d like to see what she’s capable of.”
After thinking for a moment, Yin Hua relaxed. “Fine, go. Teach that girl a lesson while you’re at it.”
Yin Shuo immediately left, and as he stepped outside, he saw Zhouzhou squatting down on the ground playing with ants, looking a bit naive.
He walked over and said, “Excuse me, miss.”
Zhouzhou immediately looked up, and when she saw him, her face lit up with a beautiful, innocent smile.
Yin Shuo was taken aback, his gaze flashing with surprise.
Zhouzhou, noticing his interest, looked him up and down. When she saw that there was no one else with him, she couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed.
She stood up, dusted off her hands, and greeted him with a smile. “Hello, you can call me Zhouzhou!”
Yin Shuo smiled, his mood lifting. “I’m Yin Shuo.”
Zhouzhou casually nodded and asked, “Is Master Yin not here?”
“My grandfather is busy right now,” Yin Shuo answered.
Zhouzhou’s eyes immediately brightened. “Master Yin is your grandfather?”
Her eyes sparkled with curiosity, and Yin Shuo felt a little flustered as he nodded. “Yes.”
Zhouzhou, with a look of admiration in her eyes, said, “You must be really skilled in the art of mysticism, then?”
Her gaze was full of reverence, like that of a fan.
Yin Shuo, caught off guard, forgot why he had come in the first place. He nodded absently, then said humbly, “I’ve learned a little from my grandfather, but I’m not as good as he is.”
Zhouzhou continued to flatter him. “That’s normal! Your grandfather has many more years of experience. When you reach his age, you’ll definitely be even better than him.”
Yin Shuo blushed from all the praise. The thought of challenging her was entirely forgotten.
Zhouzhou, however, didn’t stop there. “I’ve learned a bit of mysticism too. Do you mind giving me a little guidance?”
Without thinking, Yin Shuo nodded. “Sure.”
Zhouzhou’s smile grew even brighter. “Shall we go inside then?”
“Okay.” Yin Shuo opened the door and led her inside.
As they approached Yin Hua’s courtyard, he suddenly paused, a slight hesitation in his step. He looked at Zhouzhou with a sense of doubt, wondering if he had been tricked.
But when he looked into her innocent eyes, he shook his head, convincing himself that he was just overthinking things.
Leading Zhouzhou in another direction, he said, “Let’s go to my courtyard instead.”
Zhouzhou glanced at the direction of Yin Hua’s courtyard but didn’t object. She obediently followed him.
Yin Shuo, thinking it was nothing, continued on.
Ancestral Master, who had been watching from afar, couldn’t help but shake his head with a wry expression.
This foolish boy…
He must have been charmed by Zhouzhou’s appearance!
