Chapter 1210: My Idol, Fugui!
“Zhouzhou!”
The veterans rushed forward, surrounding Zhouzhou.
Zhouzhou hadn’t seen them much since that one match when she was younger. However, a few familiar faces quickly popped into her memory. She thought for a moment and then called out, “Uncle Zhang, Brother Wang, Brother Li!”
“You still remember our surnames?” The veterans asked in surprise.
Zhouzhou nodded, “Of course, you guys are so impressive, how could I forget?”
Commander shot her a sideways glance. He knew she was just pretending; she’d clearly gone through their files on the plane. The little brat was good at lying.
Still, it was effective. The veterans were clearly happy.
However, not everyone was impressed. A large man looked at Zhouzhou with disdain and sneered, “No amount of connections can help you; in this competition, it’s all about strength.”
Zhouzhou turned to look at him, raising an eyebrow.
Army Commander had pointed out a few people to her, those who were not only very strong but also had the worst tempers. The man in front of her was one of them.
“You must be Fang Zichong,” Zhouzhou said.
“Yeah, what about it?” Fang Zichong raised his chin, his nearly two-meter tall frame and muscular build imposing like a mountain.
Zhouzhou stared at his head for a few seconds, a hint of envy flickering in her eyes.
Why did everyone else have such height? Why was she so short?
She couldn’t even reach 1.7 meters!
She thought for a moment, feeling a little jealous.
“You’re right,” she said, “strength is important in this competition. How about we have a match right now?”
So what if he was tall? She was determined to knock him down.
Fang Zichong was surprised that Zhouzhou would challenge him, but quickly nodded, “Sure, let’s go.”
He was eager to show her just how strong he was, not realizing that the veterans were quietly stepping back, watching him with sympathetic eyes.
Ten years ago, they had been just like him.
Back then, Zhouzhou was only seven years old.
Now, they were all older, but Zhouzhou was still young and full of energy.
To be honest, they were curious to see how much stronger she had gotten since then.
Others felt the same.
Those who didn’t know Zhouzhou wanted to test her, while those who did were eager to see how she would handle the fight.
Just like before, Zhouzhou glanced around, then arrogantly raised a hand, saying, “You should all come at me together.”
That sentence immediately angered Fang Zichong. “You’re too arrogant!”
With that, he threw a punch at her, intent on showing her who was the boss.

As his fist closed in, Zhouzhou didn’t dodge.
Fang Zichong’s lips curled into a mocking smile, thinking she was all talk.
But in the next moment, Zhouzhou’s figure flashed, and before Fang Zichong knew it, she was behind him. In an instant, he was sent flying.
“Ahh—!” Fang Zichong yelled as he crashed into the ground, completely stunned.
The others were left in shock.
One move?
Fang Zichong was one of the top three contenders among the new recruits, yet he was knocked out with just one move?
Was this some kind of dream?
Did they miss something?
Commander’s eyes were even more fiery as he watched the scene unfold.
“Come on, all of you, stop talking nonsense. With your skills, if you last half an hour, I’ll call it a win.”
Though his words were harsh, it was clear that he didn’t hold much respect for them.
The younger soldiers were still defiant, but the veterans roared, “Get up, let’s go!”
They all looked at Zhouzhou with eyes full of admiration.
They knew she was far stronger now than she had been before.
Now, that was exciting!
One by one, they charged toward her, even the newer recruits who were still resentful joined in, eager to save face.
Commander smiled and moved back, finding a good spot to watch.
He told Zhouzhou, “Zhouzhou, don’t overdo it. Just use half your strength and don’t injure anyone. Though they’re not great, at least we’ll have enough people to form a team.”
“How mean!” the others fumed, but none of them held back, throwing everything they had into the fight.
Zhouzhou shot Commander a sideways glance and snorted.
“Well, Mr. Army Commander, that’s not fair.”
But it didn’t matter—this was exactly what she wanted.
She didn’t want an easy win.
Army Commander was pleased with what he was seeing and walked over to Fang Zichong, who was still stunned on the ground, kicking him lightly. “You weren’t ready just now. Get up and use your full strength now.”
Fang Zichong scrambled to his feet and charged at Zhouzhou again. But after three more moves, he was thrown back onto the ground.
Commander raised an eyebrow, thinking, As expected, the real force is Zhouzhou. The others are just here to fill the numbers.
He couldn’t help but feel a little more jealous of Ye Lingfeng.
If only Zhouzhou were his daughter.
He also wondered how Zhouzhou stacked up against Ye Lingfeng these days.
Even if she couldn’t beat him, she’d probably tie.
The defeated soldiers still refused to admit their loss, thinking they weren’t prepared enough, so they stood up again, determined to keep fighting.
After three or four rounds, they finally saw reality.
Commander checked the time and when the last person was knocked down for good, he hit the pause button. “29 minutes and 38 seconds. Just as I expected.”
“You still haven’t used all your strength, Zhouzhou, have you?”
Zhouzhou just smiled and didn’t answer.
Commander swept his gaze across the room, his tone suddenly growing serious. “Don’t think you’re all that. Always remember, there’s always someone better. Today, Zhouzhou knocked you all down. If it were anyone else, you’d already be dead.”
“Even if it’s for your own survival, for your families, don’t forget this lesson. Never get cocky!”
The once proud recruits were now completely defeated, their fists clenched as waves of emotion surged inside them.
Army Commander looked at them and then turned to Zhouzhou. “Zhouzhou, how about you train them a bit before the competition? With their current skills, picking them would just be choosing the least bad one.”
Zhouzhou nodded. “Okay, but I’ve never trained anyone before. How about I just do what my dad did with me?”
“Sounds good,” Commander agreed. “Teach them well.”
With that, he stepped aside, giving them space.
Zhouzhou motioned for them to stand, and the veterans couldn’t help but gather around her to reminisce.
Fang Zichong stood off to the side, sneering, “Even if you knocked me down, I won’t ever bow to you. There’s only one person I’ll ever submit to.”
“Who?” Zhouzhou asked, curious.
Fang Zichong raised his chin proudly. “Fugui!”
