Chapter 302: Emptying the Song Family!
Wangcai: “Awoo—”
Yun You: “Awoo—”
“A T-Tiger!” Yun You stood dumbstruck at the sight of the small white tiger in the living room. Though it wasn’t as large as an adult tiger, its wild and untamed gaze was unmistakable. Instinctively, he shielded Zhouzhou behind him, warily eyeing Wangcai.
How could there be a tiger in their house? It made no sense!
Wangcai tilted its big head, staring at the foolish human before it. Ignoring him, the tiger stood up, shook its body, and let out a commanding “Awoo,” exuding an imposing aura.
Silly human, behold my majesty!
Upon seeing the person behind Yun You, Wangcai’s eyes brightened, and it bounded forward on its paws. Yun You’s hair stood on end, ready to strike, but the little one behind him was quicker. Zhouzhou darted forward and, to his horror, threw her arms around the tiger’s head, pressing her small face against it.
“Awoo, Wangcai, I missed you so much,” Zhouzhou mimicked Wangcai’s sound, rubbing her face vigorously against its big head. Wangcai happily licked her chubby face, its large tail wagging furiously.
The tiger’s licks tickled her, making her giggle. She pushed its head back with her hand, but Wangcai just shook off her little paw and nudged her again.
Seeing the girl and tiger playing so joyfully, Yun You was astonished. “Little Eight, who is this?”
Zhouzhou remembered and quickly introduced, “Third Brother, this is my friend, Wangcai. Isn’t that a great name? I came up with it!”
The little girl stood with her hands on her hips, looking proud.
Waiting for praise!
That name… was so Little Eight. Yun You couldn’t help but laugh. Seeing how affectionate Wangcai was with her, he relaxed. Watching Wangcai, he remembered something and said nostalgically, “I once had a tiger too.”
Zhouzhou nodded, “I remember. His name was Bun. He ran away because, as Daddy said, tigers need meat and don’t like eating vegetables.”
Yun You nodded. He had found the tiger injured on the mountain and brought it home, intending to keep it.
But with Zhouzhou there, they often didn’t even have enough vegetables to eat, let alone meat. Within a month, Bun had run off on a dark, windy night with their last seven buns from the kitchen.
Those buns had been the midnight snack saved for Little Eight by the seven senior brothers. Thinking of this, he still held a small grudge. “What a tiger that couldn’t endure a bit of hardship.”
Zhouzhou nodded in agreement, hugging Wangcai proudly. “My Wangcai can endure anything!”
Wangcai shook its head repeatedly. No, no, it couldn’t endure much either; it was just forced to. It had considered running away too.
Unaware of Wangcai’s inner turmoil, Zhouzhou removed the sack tied to its back and patted its head. “Wangcai is the best.”
Yun You glanced at her and asked, “Little Eight, is Wangcai your secret treasure?”
“Yes!” Zhouzhou nodded emphatically, her chubby hands moving excitedly, her face full of enthusiasm. “Wangcai is great at finding treasures! I’ve just calculated it, and today we’ll have great fortune!”
The source of the fortune was obvious.
The two exchanged a knowing look and chuckled mischievously.
Mu Xuan emerged and saw this scene, shaking his head. This was exactly how they laughed when plotting mischief on the mountain. With these two troublemakers together, chaos was inevitable.
But it was time to let off some steam. “Let’s go eat first,” he suggested.
“Okay!” Zhouzhou quickly scurried to the dining table and sat down.
After breakfast, they set off for the Song family. Before leaving, Yun You made a solemn vow to Yun Heng, “Big Brother, don’t worry. I’ll definitely bring back the Phoenix and Peony Bracelet! And we’ll make sure the Song family pays dearly!”
Seeing his righteous anger, Yun Heng sighed and looked at Qin Lie and Ye Lingfeng. “Please take care of them.”

“Don’t worry,” Ye Lingfeng said nonchalantly, stretching lazily with a cold smile. “As long as I’m here, no one will bully my daughter.”
“You,” Zhouzhou pouted at him, displeased. “You bully me all the time.”
Ye Lingfeng awkwardly rubbed his nose. “I can’t help it. Watching you get angry is too funny.”
He cleared his throat. “I’ll try to restrain myself.”
Hearing this, Zhouzhou’s eyes widened in disbelief. Shouldn’t he be correcting his behavior? What did he mean by ‘restrain,’ and ‘try’?
“Sharp Tongue Uncle!” Zhouzhou stomped her chubby foot on the ground and, fuming, dragged Yun You away.
“Childish,” Qin Lie muttered, giving Ye Lingfeng a sidelong glance before walking off.
Ye Lingfeng let out a dissatisfied huff.
Yun Heng, suppressing his laughter, nodded gracefully and wheeled himself back to his room.
Left alone, Ye Lingfeng looked up at the sky, sighed, and finally followed them.
The Song family’s location was easy to find. Recently, they had purchased a grand mansion and had thrown a lavish party, flaunting their new wealth like nouveau riche. The Yun family had received an invitation, so finding the address was straightforward.
Zhouzhou looked up at the mansion, spotting many golden glimmers. They were indeed wealthy. But soon, this wealth would be hers.
She patted Wangcai and said, “Wangcai, let’s have a competition. Whoever finds the most treasures wins. If you win, I’ll buy you lots of meat.”
Meat!
Hearing the word, Wangcai’s mouth watered, and it let out an excited “Awoo,” which promptly drew the attention of the Song family.
“Who’s there?” The butler, visibly annoyed, came out. Upon seeing Wangcai, his legs buckled, and he fell to the ground in terror. “A-a tiger!”
Wangcai slowly approached, causing the butler to turn pale and start babbling, “Don’t eat me, don’t eat me, please…”
Trembling, he kept begging for his life. Wangcai, feeling proud, gave a dismissive shake and smashed the Song family’s door with a single swipe of its paw before dashing inside.
Meat, here I come!
Within minutes, the Song family was in chaos, with everyone running out in panic. Song Wei and Song Shengsheng were among the first to flee, looking disheveled and far from their usual composed selves.
Upon seeing Yun You, Song Wei’s face darkened. “Yun You, what are you doing here?”
Realizing something, his eyes widened. “Did you bring the tiger?”
Yun You didn’t deny it. Rolling up his sleeves, he declared, “Old man, hand over the Peony Bracelet, or I’ll turn your house upside down!”
Regaining some composure, Song Wei sneered, “The bracelet has already been returned. What more do you want? Are you accusing us because you lost it? I warn you, take your tiger away, or I’ll call the police!”
Song Shengsheng nodded fervently in agreement.
Seeing the father and daughter clearly trying to wriggle out of the situation, Yun You laughed in anger.
He turned to Zhouzhou and said, “Little Eight, I’ll add a wager. For every treasure you find, I’ll give you an extra ten thousand. Find the bracelet, and I’ll give you a hundred thousand. Today, we’re emptying the Song house!”
Wow! So much money! Zhouzhou’s eyes sparkled. Without a word, she dashed inside.
