Chapter 336: Riding on Good Fortune
The Qin family lived in the western part of the city, a completely different direction from where Yu Ze resided.
Qin Lie drove for over two hours before reaching home. Zhouzhou and Qin Feng were already fast asleep, their heads leaned against each other.
Qin Lie opened the car door and lifted Zhouzhou out of the car. Feeling his movement, Zhouzhou suddenly woke up. In a daze, she still managed to point inside the car and mumble, “Flowers.”
They were the flowers she bought for her parents.
Rubbing her sleepy eyes, Zhouzhou became more awake. She gestured for Qin Lie to put her down. Unable to resist her, Qin Lie complied.
Zhouzhou immediately trotted with her little legs to the car and, with effort, carried out two bunches of flowers. Each bunch was sizable, and carrying two made it even more cumbersome.
Worried about crushing the flowers, she spread her arms, holding one in each hand, her small body almost entirely obscured by the blooms.
As she got out of the car, she tried to run towards the Ye family’s house but couldn’t see the way and almost collided with the door. Thankfully, Qin Lie pulled her back in time.
Taking the flowers from her hands, Qin Lie sighed in resignation. “Open the door.”
At his words, Zhouzhou immediately nodded, skillfully unlocking the door with her chubby fingers and swinging it open.
Hearing the commotion, An Ya floated out, her eyes lighting up when she saw Zhouzhou. “Zhouzhou!”
“Mom!” Zhouzhou rushed over and immediately began to cuddle her, affectionately babbling, “Mom, I bought beautiful flowers for you.”
Finishing her sentence, she turned her gaze to Qin Lie.
Qin Lie handed a bunch of flowers to her. Zhouzhou took it promptly, drew a circle on the ground, lit a talisman, and the next moment, the flowers were in An Ya’s hands.
An Ya hadn’t expected to receive flowers from her daughter in this lifetime. She smiled with happiness.
Her daughter was both capable and filial, truly a blessing! But why roses?
Before she could ask, she heard a sour voice, “Oh, where were you running off to? Seems like you were having a good time.”
Ye Lingfeng leaned against the door frame, his eyes glancing at the flowers in Qin Lie’s arms. From a distance, they looked like a family, which made him feel somewhat sour. He had known it would be like this.
Zhouzhou sighed and shook her head. “Originally, these were meant for Sharp Tongue Uncle. Since you don’t want them, we’ll leave.”
Before she finished speaking, a dark figure flashed by, and the flowers in Qin Lie’s hands were instantly in someone else’s.
Ye Lingfeng held the flowers and walked over to An Ya, his eyes curved with a smile. He lowered his head and sniffed them. “Smells good.”
Roses didn’t quite match him, but since they were a gift from his daughter, he liked them anyway.
An Ya couldn’t help but smile at his childishness.
Zhouzhou couldn’t resist tugging on her sleeve and whispering, “Mom, why do you like Sharp Tongue Uncle?”
She wasn’t mature enough to understand!
Ye Lingfeng overheard her and his face darkened. “Zhouzhou.”
Zhouzhou grinned at him, waved her hand, and said, “I’m leaving. Goodnight, Mom. Goodnight, Sharp Tongue Uncle. Remember to accompany me to the parent-child activity tomorrow.”
With that, she quickly dragged Qin Lie away.
Watching her figure disappear, An Ya smiled, pursing her lips. She looked at Ye Lingfeng and couldn’t help but say, “Don’t always be so stern with Zhouzhou. Kids like to be coddled.”
This made Ye Lingfeng feel a bit wronged. “When have I not spoiled her?”

“I said spoiled, not teased. If you tease her too much, be careful she’ll turn against you.”
But An Ya glanced at the flowers in his hand, feeling reassured. Children were the most sensitive.
Zhouzhou was intelligent enough to sense whether he was being treated well or not. The fact that she remembered him when buying flowers showed that she held him in her heart.
It’s just that he’s such a sharp-tongued person.
Sometimes, An Ya wondered if he were mute, Zhouzhou might have changed her mind long ago.
Ye Lingfeng didn’t know what his wife was thinking. He hugged her and walked into the room.
Then, he took a picture of the flowers, sent it to Chen Tuo with a serious expression, as if sending some important news.
He typed slowly, “Find someone to research a method to keep flowers fresh permanently. Get it done within three days.”
After some thought, he added, “These were sent by Zhouzhou to me. Aren’t they beautiful?”
Because his vacation was busy, Chen Tuo had no time even to eat properly. He replied, “…”
Is he a human?
After sending the message, Ye Lingfeng didn’t care about his subordinates’ resentment. He held An Ya tightly in his arms.
He had talked with Yaya. The separation between them was inevitable, and there weren’t many days left. Instead of being sad, they should enjoy their time together as a family and bid farewell with a smile.
Calculating the time, it wouldn’t be long.
With that in mind, Ye Lingfeng’s heart tightened, and he subconsciously held An Ya tighter.
Sensing his emotions, An Ya also held him tightly, interlocking her fingers with his, and softly said, “Let’s sleep.”
“Okay.”
The night passed quickly.
As dawn broke, Zhouzhou sprang out of bed and dove into her wardrobe to rummage through her clothes. Finally, she found a tracksuit and, with chubby arms and legs, struggled to put it on.
Grandpa Qin and Grandma Qin were already awake. Today was Zhouzhou’s first time participating in a gathering of a hundred people, so it was essential to take it seriously.
Grandpa Qin had a camera hanging around his neck and was dressed casually.
“Old man, remember to bring plenty of snacks for Zhouzhou. With so much activity today, it won’t do if she doesn’t eat enough,” Grandma Qin reminded.
Pointing to a large bag of food nearby, Grandpa Qin replied, “It’s all prepared. There’s definitely enough.”
Satisfied after checking, Grandma Qin nodded.
“Grandma!” Zhouzhou, dressed and ready, came running down the stairs, her arms spread open like a little swallow, and threw herself into Grandma Qin’s arms, delighting her with hugs and kisses. Zhouzhou reciprocated with a cheerful smile.
Meanwhile, Grandpa Qin sat on the sofa, holding a magazine and appearing very focused. However, he still glanced discreetly in the direction of the grandmother and granddaughter.
He wanted some attention too. But being naturally reserved, he couldn’t bring himself to ask for it.
Unexpectedly, Zhouzhou released Grandma Qin and ran over to him. She swiftly nestled into his arms and planted a kiss on his cheek, then offered him a piece of her chubby little belly.
“Grandpa should kiss me too,” she declared.
Grandpa Qin suppressed a smile, dignifiedly kissing her cheek.
Zhouzhou immediately smiled happily, holding his hand and saying, “With both Grandma and Grandpa’s blessings, I’m sure I’ll come in first today!”
After saying this, afraid it might not be enough, she dashed upstairs, knocking on each door and “borrowing good luck.”
Grandma Qin couldn’t help but chuckle.
Grandpa Qin couldn’t help but feel amused and bemused. He never thought he would become a tool for Zhouzhou’s antics.
However, his granddaughter was a bit short-sighted. He was the founding ancestor of the Qin family, having experienced countless trials and tribulations to establish the Qin clan.
His luck far surpassed those few naughty sons at home. Just getting a bit of his luck was more than enough.
