Chapter 484: Dealing with Qian Duoduo
Zhouzhou had truly been enraged. Even at this point, Qian Duoduo dared to speak such words, revealing his usual audacity.
She coldly stared at Qian Duoduo, her expression akin to Ye Lingfeng’s, exuding a chilling aura that belied her small frame. She would indeed act upon her threats.
Mr. Qian, legs weakened by fear, also felt intimidated. Hastily, he raised his hand and slapped Qian Duoduo, “Apologize immediately! What nonsense are you spouting? Is this how I taught you?”
Qian Duoduo, stunned by the slap, stared at him in disbelief, his face swelling instantly. “Dad!” he cried out, full of grievance.
“Don’t call me Dad!” Mr. Qian was nearly apoplectic with rage. Even if he intended to act, it shouldn’t be in front of Miss Qin.
Zhouzhou observed them coldly. This time, she wasn’t deceived by their antics. Though she had said nothing when he didn’t use much of the force earlier, now she was truly furious.
She clutched her bag, the coins inside clinking as they scattered on the ground.
“Take all this money; I’ll only beat you once.”
Qian Duoduo dared not comply. If a single penny warranted such a harsh beating, what would so much money entail? She might beat him to death!
Mr. Qian quickly pleaded, “Miss Qin, please don’t be angry. Don’t soil your hands. We’ll comply with any conditions you set. We’ll compensate.”
He looked imploringly at Wei Xuhong and his mother, hoping they’d speak on his behalf. Knowing the crux of the matter lay with them, Wei Xuhong approached Zhouzhou and whispered, “Zhouzhou, thank you, but you can’t really kill them.”
Otherwise, it would implicate him and his mother too.
Qin Er nodded earnestly, “We’ll have to pay a lot, and you’ll get caught by my dad. You might even lose your life, and then you’d have nothing.”
Hearing about the money, Zhouzhou’s eyes flickered, the coldness fading slightly. She kicked Qian Duoduo discontentedly, “So, we can’t do anything to them?”
“Not exactly,” Qin Xi interjected. “Just leave them a breath. As long as they’re alive, little uncle will handle the rest.”
It sounded as if they’d receive a reward.
Terrified, the Qian family father and son trembled. Qian Duoduo was utterly frightened, staring at them in horror.
Zhouzhou, after pondering for a moment, her eyes suddenly brightened with an idea.
She turned to Qian Duoduo, frowning, “Apologize to the brother and aunt, then lick the soup off the floor. I won’t hit you.”
Despite her words, the excitement in her eyes made Qian Duoduo shudder, sensing the situation wouldn’t be so simple.
Unable to figure out her intentions, and with Mr. Qian urging him, he could only tearfully apologize to Wei Xuhong and Mrs. Wei, “I’m sorry for hitting you and for spilling soup on you.”
This time, his previous arrogance was nowhere to be seen. Wei Xuhong stared coldly at him, his hatred evident.
Zhouzhou asked, “Brother, do you want to beat him up?”
She glanced at the empty bag in her hand, pulling out a stack of money from her purse and offering a ten-yuan note, “Hit him hard; I’ll pay.”
After all, it was the Qian family’s tradition.
Wei Xuhong looked at her, contemplated, and shook his head, sighing, “No, he was wrong to hit me. My mom taught me not to hit people. I can’t learn from bad people.”
That makes sense. Zhouzhou nodded, her cheeks puffing out in annoyance. She glared at the Qian family, “You’ve corrupted me!”
Qian Duoduo clung to Mr. Qian, crying even louder. It wasn’t true; she had always hit people without paying!
Zhouzhou insisted it was their fault for making her bad. If they hadn’t bullied others, she wouldn’t have to hit them.
Her eyes widened in anger, hands on her hips like a little bully, “Lick it clean, or I’ll hit you. If I’m bad today, I’ll be a villain first, and be good tomorrow.”

But whether they’d see the next day’s sun wasn’t her concern.
Understanding her implication, Mr. Qian pushed Qian Duoduo, “Hurry.”
Terrified, Qian Duoduo, seeing no help from his father, ran to the kitchen, removed the broken bowl, and started licking the floor.
He cried immediately, not knowing why, even though the soup tasted fine, it felt worse than a beating.
Zhouzhou scoffed, “You make others do what you wouldn’t. Just because you have money? My big brother said, ‘Do unto others as you would have them do to you.’ Since you’ve made my brother do it, then you should do the same. Lick it clean, or else!”
She sat beside him, stern-faced. Qian Duoduo glanced at her, seeing her raised fist, and continued licking in fear. He looked pitiful, but no one felt sympathy. He had bullied Wei Xuhong and his mother far worse.
Minutes ticked by. After over half an hour, Qian Duoduo finally cleaned the floor. He looked at Zhouzhou fearfully, “Is it done?”
Zhouzhou nodded, standing up. “Yes.”
Before he could relax, she approached and made a gesture over his head, as if grabbing something and sealing it into a talisman. Mu Xuan raised an eyebrow.
Mr. Qian, puzzled, didn’t understand her actions. Zhouzhou tucked the talisman into her bag, clapping her hands, and cheerfully said, “Let’s go home.
“Yes,” Mu Xuan smiled, taking her hand as they walked out. Passing Wei Xuhong and his mother, Zhouzhou paused, “Auntie’s salary…”
Mr. Qian, realizing, quickly transferred money to Mrs. Wei, adding an extra hundred thousand as compensation, bowing, “This is for the trouble. I’ll discipline my child better.”
Mrs. Wei initially refused, but Zhouzhou insisted, “It’s for the spilled soup; it’s their rule. Don’t break it.”
Hearing this, Mrs. Wei accepted, gratefully looking at Zhouzhou. Without her, they would’ve been oppressed. Zhouzhou smiled and extended her hand, “Auntie, come have dinner at my place.”
Without giving her a chance to refuse, she pulled her along, with Wei Xuhong following quickly.
As they left, Qin Xi felt disappointed. He thought there’d be a fight but didn’t get to throw a single punch.
It felt insufficient to let Qian Duoduo off easily. Remembering Zhouzhou’s final gesture, he curiously turned to look.
Qian Duoduo sat dazed, then suddenly collapsed, motionless. Qin Er, hearing the thud, looked back, startled.
