Just then, a wolf’s howl sounded outside the door, and Laifu, with its fluffy tail wagging, ran over and leapt into Zhouzhou’s arms.

The little wolf cub, barely a month old, gazed at Zhouzhou with moist eyes, nuzzling into her embrace. Jinbao, seeing this, felt a surge of jealousy.

Hugging Xinbao, it meowed, “Remember, that is our enemy. If we encounter it, show no mercy!”

Jinbao growled fiercely. Xinbao, drinking from its bottle, looked at him innocently with its feet playfully kicking in the air.

Jinbao cast her a wistful glance. Did she not understand why they always fought? It was because of her.
