Chapter 581: The Fourth Bureau’s Secret Weapon
Startled by his words, Zhao Xinghua silently looked away and did not bring up the matter again. He quietly lit a candle for some future unfortunate soul.
How tragic. Given Zhouzhou’s greed and her status as a daddy’s girl, it was quite possible that father and daughter would team up to pull this off. It was truly despicable.
He shook his head and silently watched the two people fiercely battling in the arena. Zhouzhou had no idea they were discussing such distant future matters, and even if she knew, she wouldn’t care.
Who needed men when making money was the priority? The little girl, eager to see her uncle, fought Lu Ye without holding back. However, lacking experience, she eventually lost to him.
Zhouzhou fell to the ground, panting heavily, and gave him a thumbs-up. “Brother, you’re still the best.”
Qi Hua and Ma Hao: “…” Did she mean they weren’t good enough?
But looking at Lu Ye, they didn’t voice their thoughts. Better not humiliate themselves. Lu Ye wasn’t even in the same league as them.
Lu Ye, gazing at her, showed no pride and said, “You need more practice.”
“Yes, yes!” Zhouzhou nodded vigorously, her chubby legs hooking around his ankle as she quickly sat up, wrapping her plump little arms around his thigh. She adorably asked, “Brother, can you spar with me a bit more?”
Lu Ye nodded. “Alright.”
The old director also chimed in, “This kid is impressive, much better than those guys from before. Zhouzhou, spend more time with him and less with those who waste your time.”
Qi Hua and the others: “…” They were still there!
Though not as skilled as Lu Ye, they weren’t complete wastes of time either. They could at least hold their own against Zhouzhou.
Seeing their expressions, the old director disdainfully remarked, “You’re over thirty, barely holding your own against a six-year-old girl, and you’re proud of it?”
Qi Hua and the others fell silent. Fine, they wouldn’t play with her anymore.
While they might not teach Zhouzhou much in terms of moves, their experience was valuable. This competition wasn’t just about fighting skills; it was a comprehensive contest of various abilities.
In short, the event was divided into two parts: the team competition and the individual competition. The individual competition was straightforward—a one-on-one fight.
The team competition, however, required coordination and teamwork. The final rule was simple and brutal: whoever captured the other team’s flag first won.
Hearing this, Zhouzhou’s eyes lit up. She raised her chubby hand and exclaimed, “I know this!” She pulled out an Invisibility Talisman and slapped it on the table.
“I can walk over and take their flag, or hide our flag in plain sight where they can’t see it.”
Everyone was stunned by her idea, something they hadn’t considered. But Ye Lingfeng shook his head, “No, Zhouzhou. This competition is about learning and exchange, not defeating the enemy, so you can’t use your mystical methods. You have to win fair and square.”
“Oh.” Zhouzhou wasn’t disappointed. She obediently placed her chubby hands on her knees and nodded knowingly. “I understand, the competition is second, friendship first, right?”
“Not exactly.” Ye Lingfeng shook his head with a slight smile, “Winning is still the priority.” It would be humiliating to lose to them.
“But your second suggestion is good,” he added.
Which suggestion? Zhouzhou tilted her head in thought and then remembered—hiding their flag so the other team couldn’t find it.
The others chuckled. How cheeky.
After the laughter, Zhao Xinghua cleared his throat. Seeing the little girl taking it seriously, he said, “Alright, your dad was joking. The competition should be fair, and you should win with your own strength.”
Zhouzhou nodded obediently and put away her talisman.
Since she usually fought alone due to her contract, she hadn’t participated in missions with the Wealthy group.
Remembering something, Zhao Xinghua asked, “Zhouzhou, have you ever used a gun?”

Zhouzhou shook her head. Her chubby hands formed an “eight” as she solemnly commanded, “Stop! Don’t move! Hands up!”
Then, she raised her little hands above her head, trembling, and said, “Sir, don’t kill me, I surrender.”
She looked joyfully at Ye Lingfeng, her chubby hands resting on the table, seeking praise. She had watched police movies with her grandpa!
Ye Lingfeng’s lips twitched. As expected, a little drama queen. He ruffled her hair and looked at Zhao Xinghua, answering, “No, she hasn’t.”
He then produced a box and handed it to Zhouzhou. Curious, she opened it to find a mini golden handgun. She instantly loved it, exclaiming “Wow!” and holding it with great fondness.
Everyone else showed disdain for the gaudy color. Clearly, it was custom-made by Ye Lingfeng, the doting father.
Ignoring their reactions, Ye Lingfeng loaded the clip, though there were no bullets inside. “You can practice shooting, but remember, never point the gun at anyone. A single bullet can kill.”
Zhouzhou’s eyes widened in shock.
“Before you go on a real mission, I’ll keep the gun. I’ll give it back to you later.”
“Okay.” Zhouzhou reluctantly handed back the golden gun, though her eyes remained glued to it.
Ye Lingfeng returned it to her. “You can use it while training on the island, but only in the shooting range.”
Zhouzhou’s eyes sparkled as she nodded eagerly, “Yes, Daddy, I’ll remember!”
Ye Lingfeng wasn’t worried about Zhouzhou misbehaving. She had a kind heart and, having grown up in temples, held life in reverence. She wouldn’t easily harm anyone unless they were truly evil.
Watching them, Zhao Xinghua felt confident. With this father-daughter duo, the Fourth Bureau was sure to win this year! If all else failed, they’d just send Zhouzhou to capture the leader—her cuteness alone would disarm Xi Mo!
