Chapter 700: Testify for Me, He Struck First
Upon hearing these words, Zhouzhou’s mouth fell open in astonishment.
She hadn’t expected that just sitting here quietly would attract such unexpected attention, let alone money being offered so willingly.
She doubted if her fate was really lacking money; no matter how she saw it, she felt money always came by itself!
The Ancestral Master’s lips twitched with indescribable complexity as he looked at the person in front of him.
Was he unable to make it outside and decided to seek free meals in the detention center? Otherwise, why would he recklessly provoke Zhouzhou?
The people around wore expressions of concern. This was clearly not a good person. His name was Wang Mazi, notorious in this area for his bullying tendencies.
They had thought about resisting, but he was too imposing, too strong; they couldn’t possibly defeat him, and had suffered many losses under his control.
Gradually, they had refrained from provoking him.
Never did they expect this soft-looking girl to become his target. It was truly unfortunate. However, her father was still around; he should protect her, right?
With that thought, they looked towards Qin Lie, only to see him sitting calmly on the stool, casting just a glance at Wang Mazi before averting his gaze, showing no intention of intervening.
Seeing this, the onlookers were dumbfounded, their gazes carrying a mix of reproach and disdain towards Qin Lie.
What kind of father was he, to remain indifferent when his daughter was being bullied? They had never seen someone so unreliable!
Noticing their stares, Qin Lie offered no explanation. He simply sighed inwardly; they really didn’t know Zhouzhou well enough.
She didn’t need him to intervene. Even calling Qin Xu over wasn’t necessary. As expected, Zhouzhou, with an excited expression, quietly activated the video function on her watch.
“What did you just say?” The screen of her watch was small, and Wang Mazi didn’t notice. He repeated in his brash manner, “Pay up for protection, or else…”
He waved his fist menacingly, his large frame and threatening demeanor capable of sending Zhouzhou flying with a single punch.
But Zhouzhou, undeterred, eagerly watched him, making sure to capture his actions on video.
“Uncles, aunties, grandpas, and grandmas, please bear witness. He said he wants to extort protection money from me and even threatens to hit me.”
Upon hearing this, the crowd was momentarily stunned, not quite grasping her meaning.
Then, they watched as Zhouzhou clenched her chubby fist and aimed a punch at him. Finally, a fight was brewing; she had been itching for one!
Before the bystanders could react, Wang Mazi’s two-hundred-plus-pound body flew backward like a ball, crashing straight into the wall with a resounding thud. The ground trembled in response.
Witnessing this scene, the spectators were filled with shock, their eyes widening in disbelief, mouths agape.
Had they been mistaken? Zhouzhou blinked innocently, retracting her fist and shyly smiling at them, exuding an aura of softness and cuteness.
She spoke gently, “Kind sirs and madams, please continue to bear witness. He bullied me.” With that, she innocently raised her chubby hand, saying, “After all, I’m just a fragile, helpless child.”
The onlookers were baffled. What misconception did they have about her fragility and helplessness?
They had never imagined such an outcome. The bloody scene they had anticipated never came to pass; instead, it was completely opposite to their expectations.
Without waiting for their reactions, the incident ended in a mere second. Until now, they still wore bewildered expressions.
Qin Lie remained seated, unaffected, even yawning out of boredom. So unoriginal. Couldn’t these villains come up with a different entrance? He was tired of the same old routine.
Zhouzhou also found it uninteresting. She preferred a more evenly matched confrontation. Unfortunately, apart from Ye Lingfeng and Lu Ye, who could challenge her, the others lacked the thrill.
With a sigh of resignation, Zhouzhou gazed up at the sky, her expression filled with melancholy. Invincibility was so lonely.

In the next moment, the forlorn girl skillfully dialed a number, her voice brimming with excitement. “Second Uncle, bring the money!” With that, she hung up the phone.
On the other end, Qin Xu couldn’t help but twitch at the corner of his mouth. Wasn’t she supposed to be running a stall? How did she end up fighting crime?
Zhouzhou shrugged helplessly. It wasn’t her fault she looked so deceiving. She didn’t ask for it.
After the call, the little girl plopped down on the cushion, looking at the bewildered faces before her. Holding their hands, she said, “Uncle, let’s continue with palmistry. Your marriage line…”
The towering man in front of her stared, unable to focus on when his soulmate would appear.
His mind was too preoccupied with his body feeling like it was falling apart. Could someone tell him why kids these days were so formidable? Did they leave any room for the hundreds of months ahead of them?
Quite the twist. Zhouzhou had no idea what they were thinking, dutifully reading their fortunes.
However, she couldn’t help but notice that each person sitting across from her behaved exceptionally well, sitting upright like the children in their class.
Even if she predicted something unfavorable, they wouldn’t get angry and curse at her, unlike yesterday.
Customers: Dare not curse, afraid that even uttering a word might land them against the wall.
Other vendors were equally stunned, watching Zhouzhou with a mix of amazement and confusion. Were their eyes playing tricks on them?
Wang Mazi had been sent flying by a girl not even as tall as his leg? And with just one punch?
Beside them, a fellow vendor struggled to swallow, his expression a mix of fear and relief. What did he say earlier? That the girl was a fraud? Were his feet still touching the ground?
He realized he was wrong; he shouldn’t have made baseless assumptions with age bias.
The entire Heaven Bridge suddenly fell into an eerie silence. Despite the crowd, each person spoke softly, afraid of provoking Zhouzhou.
Zhouzhou scratched her head, puzzled by their reactions. As she raised her head, she noticed a girl looking at her fearfully.
Suddenly understanding, Zhouzhou quickly placed her hands on her knees, looking up with an innocent smile. “Sister, I only beat up the bad guys.”
Upon hearing this, the girl looked over with embarrassment. Just to assure her, Zhouzhou raised three chubby fingers, saying, “I swear, I never hit good people. And after I beat up the bad guys, I take them to the police station for a reward. Second Uncle said I’m helping people.”
Hearing this, a thief among the crowd froze. Where did this ruthless girl come from?
