Chapter 742: The Abductors of Zhouzhou
She was furious. The kind of fury that couldn’t be soothed.
With her little chubby body stomping forward in a huff, she yelled, “Come on! Let’s see how many doors you have!”
And there really were quite a few.
The man pressed a button, and in an instant, the wooden floor beneath Zhouzhou’s feet suddenly split open, causing her to fall. But instead of hitting the ground, she plunged into a swimming pool.
Her chubby legs kicked instinctively as she bobbed up and down in the water, blowing bubbles as she tried to figure out what was going on.
What’s the point of this? She knew how to swim. This wouldn’t drown her!
Feeling a little smug, she reached her chubby hand toward the wooden plank above, preparing to leap back up. But just as her hand was about to grasp it, the plank suddenly lifted higher.
Zhouzhou quickly jumped again, trying to grab hold, but no matter how fast she was, the plank always moved faster.
Splash!
The little bighead crap fell back into the water.
Zhouzhou was livid now. She shouted up at the camera, “You better believe if I get out of here, I’ll punch a hole right through your ceiling!”
A few muffled laughs could be heard from the other side.
Even the man monitoring her couldn’t help but smile, amusement flickering in his eyes. His voice, though altered mechanically, couldn’t fully hide the chuckle within. “Why don’t you go ahead and try,” he teased, before adding slowly, “Little Shorty.”
What?
Zhouzhou’s eyes widened instantly. He dared to mock her height?
Today, she’ll show them just how long her legs can be!
Fueled by anger, her little legs kicked even harder as she paddled furiously toward the door in a doggy-paddle style.
Laughter echoed faintly from the speakers on the walls.
The others watching Zhouzhou swim struggled to hold in their own laughter. Who taught her how to swim like this? But they had to admit–she was surprisingly agile for someone her size.
Hearing the laughter, Zhouzhou glanced up, her eyes narrowing suspiciously. Realizing she was being mocked, her chubby cheeks puffed up in indignation.
Laugh all you want, I’m still small now, but when I grow up, the first thing I’ll do is poke a hole right in that bad guy’s house!
With her chubby arms and legs working in unison, Zhouzhou quickly swam to the edge of the pool. Climbing up the wall, she blew on her little fists for good luck and then, with all her might, she punched the door hard.
With a loud “bang,” Zhouzhou punched a hole in the door.
She quickly planted her short leg in the hole, kicked again with the other leg, making another hole, and stood securely. Without hesitation, she delivered a powerful punch, and the door crashed to the ground.
Zhouzhou jumped off the door and stood beside it, her small body full of energy. She looked at yet another door ahead and sighed, shaking her head toward the camera. No creativity at all.
She was bored now, having already played this game too many times.
So dull. Not interesting at all.
The man monitoring her wasn’t offended by her remarks. Glancing at the time, he calmly reminded, “You have an hour and a half left.”
Oh right–there was a time limit.
She didn’t know how many more doors she would have to break through, and she couldn’t afford to waste time. What if she really ended up as a pile of ash? Then she’d have no choice but to meet her dad as a ghost. She wouldn’t even be able to enjoy the feast at her own table!

That can’t happen, I still need to become a little rich lady.
With that in mind, Zhouzhou hurriedly made her way toward the next door.
Meanwhile, Qin Lie and Lu Ye stared at the pitch-black surveillance footage, their faces grim with frustration. The entire screen was filled with static, as if someone had deliberately wiped it all.
Wang Yan and the man with the pushcart cowered in the corner, trembling with fear. They huddled together, too scared to utter a word.
“A’Lie!” Qin Xu rushed in, his face tense with anxiety. “What’s going on? Where’s Zhouzhou?”
Qin Lie clenched his fists tightly. “She’s gone.”
He fixed his gaze on the screen as if he could somehow pierce through it with his eyes. “The cameras were destroyed.”
Whoever had planned this had anticipated their every move, including their attempts to check the surveillance. They had erased all the footage, leaving them with nothing.
Not even a trace.
“Don’t panic,” Qin Xu said, forcing himself to remain calm. “I’ll have someone check the nearby areas for any suspicious activity.”
Qin Lie nodded, but deep down, he wasn’t feeling hopeful at all.
Sure enough, a few minutes later, seeing his teammates’ replies, Qin Xu’s expression darkened.
He looked up at Qin Lie, his face extremely grim, and said, “All the surveillance within a two-kilometer radius is gone.”
Who on earth could accomplish such a meticulous job?
Lu Ye stood to the side, engrossed in making a call.
He was trying to contact Ye Lingfeng. However, for some reason, his calls were consistently unable to get through, not even on the satellite phone.
Could something have happened to him as well?
No, that’s impossible.
Ye Lingfeng was no ordinary person; even the top assassin, Wan Leng, couldn’t last more than ten moves against him, let alone those ranked second or third.
Even if he were injured, it would only delay him a little–he would definitely be fine.
Yet, as he looked at his phone, an inexplicable unease gnawed at his heart.
He couldn’t quite put his finger on it.
It was just strange; the person who had taken Zhouzhou seemed to know them very well, accurately predicting their every move and cutting off leads before they even got started.
This sense of familiarity was somewhat chilling.
Could it be that the person was the spy on the island?
Thinking of this, Lu Ye’s expression darkened. He exited the screen and dialed Zhao Xinghua’s number.
Again, the same result–he couldn’t get through.
It was likely that something had happened on the island as well.
Lu Ye put away his phone, giving up on trying to call.
They would have to rely on themselves.
Qin Lie was equally anxious, forcing himself to calm down.
Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted the Wolf King at Lu Ye’s feet and had a sudden idea; his eyes brightened.
He immediately called home. “Send Wangcai and the others over.”
Lu Ye almost instantly understood his intention.
He lowered his head to look at the Wolf King, bending down to press his forehead against it and whisper a few words.
The Wolf King flicked its fluffy tail in annoyance. It was a wolf, not a dog!
Lu Ye remained unfazed and said, “Once we find Zhouzhou, you’ll be her favorite Uncle Wolf. Even the King and Wangcai together can’t compare to you.”
Upon hearing this, the Wolf King straightened up. That’s right!
With police cars leading the way, half an hour later, Wangcai, Little Goldie, Laifu and Jinbao arrived.
Laifu followed behind, hopping along on its short legs, making even the Wolf King, its real father, feel a bit disdainful.
Jinbao was lying on Wangcai’s back, its claws tightly gripping the fur.
Upon seeing Qin Lie, it jumped down from Wangcai’s back and landed on Qin Lie’s shoulder, letting out a “Meow!”
Where’s the little scum girl?
Qin Lie patted its head and said, “Zhouzhou has been kidnapped, so we need your help to find her.”
What?!
Who dares to kidnap its girl?!
Jinbao instantly became furious, its nose twitching as it dashed off in a particular direction.
Wangcai was not to be outdone and followed closely behind.
After all, it was the first to follow Zhouzhou and was more familiar with her scent than the others, so it would definitely be able to find her the fastest!
Laifu, not wanting to fall behind, jumped along behind them. After all, it was a relative of dogs!
The group of pets scattered, each heading toward the scent they had picked up.
Meanwhile, Zhouzhou had kicked open five doors in one breath. With a final kick, she opened the last door in the last second of the two-hour limit.
Seeing that there were finally no more doors, she let out a sigh of relief.
With her hands on her hips, she wiggled her chubby fingers at the camera, provocatively saying, “Come here!”
As soon as she finished speaking, there was a movement in the adjacent room, and a figure walked out.
Zhouzhou turned around aggressively, but when she saw that figure, she froze, her mouth suddenly agape.
How could it be…
