Chapter 747: Training Content
Hearing those words, Ye Lingfeng’s emotions grew even more conflicted, torn between joy and sorrow. Sometimes, he wished they were just an ordinary father and daughter. He didn’t want her innate strength, nor did he want to be a war god. He didn’t care about wealth–whoever wanted it could have it. All he wanted was for Zhouzhou to live a peaceful and simple life.
But those wishes were meaningless now.
Qin Lie looked at him for a few seconds before finally speaking. “Let Zhouzhou go.”
Ye Lingfeng immediately lifted his head, staring intensely at him.
Qin Lie met his gaze, his tone calm though his clenched fists showed the effort it took to stay composed. “You know this is the right choice.”
Theoretically, it was true.
Ye Lingfeng remained silent.
Zhouzhou watched them, blinking her large eyes in confusion. “Daddy? Sharp Tongue Daddy? What are you two talking about? Can you explain it clearly so I can understand?”
She muttered softly, “It obviously has to do with me, but you always keep me in the dark.”
Hmph, was it just because she was small and they thought she wouldn’t understand anything?
Did they really think she was just like other kids?
Her brain, worth a billion, could understand anything!
Hearing this, Qin Lie’s frown relaxed slightly as he leaned back in his chair. “Zhouzhou’s right. This matter concerns her, and she should have the right to decide. How about you explain everything Zhouzhou will face, and then let her make her own decision?”
Commander and Zhao Xinghua exchanged glances and agreed in unison, “That’s a good idea.”
After all, Zhouzhou was still a child. If she didn’t know what she was getting into and followed them blindly, thinking it was just fun, and later found the training too harsh and wanted to quit, they’d be in trouble. And with Ye Lingfeng, the doting father…
To be honest, they were somewhat afraid of him.
Before Zhouzhou came along, Zhao Xinghua could barely keep him in check. But now that Zhouzhou was around, Ye Lingfeng acted like he was always ready for a fight. If anyone touched her, he would explode.
And the worst part?
Zhao Xinghua rubbed his neck and sighed. He couldn’t even beat Ye Lingfeng in a fight.
It was frustrating, but what could he do? After all, he had been the one to recruit Ye Lingfeng in the first place, specifically for his abilities.
“Exactly,” Zhouzhou agreed, nodding her little head. “That’s the way it should be. I’m not dumb. I know what I should or shouldn’t do.”
She was curious about what could make Sharp Tongue Daddy so serious. It couldn’t possibly be something as simple as missing a meal, could it?
In fact, that would be the least of her worries.
Xi Mo inserted a USB drive and opened a video.
It was a training video, top-secret, something only those present could watch.
Zhouzhou widened her eyes as she watched, but after only ten minutes, she was stunned.
She turned to look at Xi Mo, who was in the video.
But wasn’t he a good guy? Why were they bullying him?
In the video, Xi Mo was forced underwater, and after what seemed like exhaustion, he tried to surface, only to be pressed back down. They then stuck needles in him, interrogating him…
Scared, Zhouzhou curled up in Qin Lie’s arms, not daring to watch any further.

Qin Lie patted her little head but didn’t let her back away. He insisted that she finish watching the entire video.
The video had no cuts or edits–it was raw footage from surveillance, with not a second altered.
After three hours, the video finally ended.
Xi Mo said, “This was only a part of it. The actual training includes much more, and it’s repeated every day.”
Ye Lingfeng looked at Zhouzhou and asked, “Do you still want to go?”
Zhouzhou remained silent, as if still in shock from the video, staring blankly at him.
Just when Ye Lingfeng began to worry if the sedative had been too strong, Zhouzhou suddenly asked, “Dad, did you go through the same thing?”
Ye Lingfeng froze, surprised by her question.
Seeing the concern in her eyes, he smiled faintly. “Yes, it was very painful. That’s why I don’t want you to go through it.”
Zhouzhou was scared, after all, she was still just a child. She had thought that when her master spanked her, slapped her hands, or made her copy texts as punishment, it was already the harshest discipline. But their training was far more intense.
Confused, she turned to Xi Mo and asked, “But Uncle, aren’t you teammates? Why are you doing this to each other?”
She didn’t understand.
Xi Mo crouched down to meet her eye level.
“We do this to each other to prevent future enemies from doing even worse.”
If the enemy caught them, it would be far worse than this.
Pointing to the part of the video where they were injecting him, he explained, “This is to help us build resistance to drugs. When enemies use similar drugs on us, they won’t affect us as much.”
“Oh, I see,” Zhouzhou said, thoughtfully rubbing her chubby chin.
Just when everyone thought she would be too scared to continue, Zhouzhou tilted her head and asked, “Can I invent a drug that makes everyone immune to all poisons, so we won’t need to be injected anymore?”
She wasn’t afraid of holding her breath underwater; it was the needles that scared her. Given how valuable she was, each injection would cost at least a few hundred thousand!
Her eager eyes looked at them, leaving Xi Mo momentarily speechless.
Zhouzhou always had such… unique priorities.
Amused, he asked, “So aside from the injections, everything else is fine with you?”
“Yep.” Zhouzhou nodded enthusiastically. “That’s how my master trains me too, just not as harshly.”
She hugged his arm, pleading, “Uncle, can you go easy on me during training? I’m scared of the pain.”
Xi Mo stared at her intently. “If you’re scared of pain, why did you join?”
Zhouzhou tilted her head. “But didn’t you say this is something I’ll have to face sooner or later?”
“If I can’t avoid it, it’s better to face it early rather than later, right?”
“And I want to get strong quickly so I can protect Dad and you. Then you won’t have to worry about me being bullied by bad guys.”
Proudly, she puffed out her chest and put her little hands on her hips. “No one’s going to trade me for money!”
If she couldn’t make money, no one else would either!
Everyone couldn’t help but laugh.
True to her name, Ye Fugui, Zhouzhou was indeed a little fortune-seeker.
Ye Lingfeng rubbed his forehead, helpless against his daughter’s logic.
This silly girl.
She was so sensible it hurt.
Sometimes, he wished she could be a more ordinary, mischievous child.
The commander laughed heartily, “This little girl’s got spirit! I like her. Are you sure you don’t want to join our team?”
Before Zhouzhou could respond, Zhao Xinghua shouted, “Don’t even think about it!”
