Chapter 765: Uncle Has a Sharp Tongue Too
“Uncle,” a soft, cute voice suddenly came from the entrance, as a little head popped in.
Zhouzhou looked at them curiously, puzzled. “Why are you fighting?”
Weren’t they here to rescue someone?
Hearing this, Xi Mo loosened his grip and took a half step back before speaking, “It’s me.”
As soon as he heard Xi Mo’s voice, Wei Fangyi’s face darkened instantly. He gritted his teeth and said, “Xi Mo, are you crazy?!”
It would have been fine if he didn’t know it was Xi Mo, but now that Xi Mo had arrived, how could he not know who was inside? Why fight at all then? Was he playing dumb?
Hearing this, Xi Mo raised an eyebrow. “Didn’t you say you could recognize me even if I turned to ash? Now that I’m standing right in front of you, you can’t even tell who I am. I knew you were just bragging.”
At these words, Wei Fangyi clenched his fists, feeling frustrated. How had he never noticed before how annoying this guy was?
Seeing the awkward expression on his face, a hint of amusement flickered in Xi Mo’s eyes. Indeed, while a big mouth often invites a beating, it still felt satisfying.
Sensing the joyful aura radiating from him, Zhouzhou frowned slightly, looking at him with a complicated expression.
Her uncle had really learned the bad habit from Sharp Tongue Daddy.
Oh dear.
Sighing, she suddenly sniffed the air. “Who’s hurt?”
Wei Fangyi looked down at Zhouzhou, puzzled. “Who are you?”
“We’ll talk inside,” Xi Mo said, gesturing to Skinny Monkey and the others to keep watch outside.
Without hesitation, Zhouzhou pulled out a talisman and slapped it on the cave entrance. She beamed with pride, “Now it’s fine! No light or sound from inside will get out!”
Relieved, Xi Mo took out a flashlight and illuminated the cave.
Seeing his movements, Wei Fangyi immediately raised his hand to block the flashlight. “Are you crazy? You’ll attract those people!”
However, Xi Mo replied, “Just go outside and take a look.”
Wei Fangyi felt puzzled. How was looking from inside or outside any different? With such a bright light, did he think everyone was blind?
Yet, Xi Mo wasn’t the type to act recklessly. Reluctantly, he stepped outside, still uncertain.
As he approached the doorway, he felt an odd sensation as if something were blocking his way. He pushed a little harder and finally made it out.
Turning back to glance inside, he was startled. Why was there no light at all?
Peering in, it was clearly bright inside. He stepped back out, and once again, there was no light.
Even if Xi Mo had deliberately turned it off, it shouldn’t have happened so promptly. What on earth was going on?
At that moment, Zhouzhou grinned and pulled him inside. “Uncle, don’t worry! No one will find us here.”
Wei Fangyi’s brows remained tightly knitted, a multitude of questions swirling in his mind.
Just then, a voice exclaimed, “Sun Hai!”
Wei Fangyi turned around to see Sun Hai convulsing violently, his lips turning black.
His face darkened, but before he could react, Zhouzhou darted over and placed her chubby little hand on Sun Hai’s wrist. “It’s snake venom,” she announced.

Wei Fangyi was stunned. Did this little girl know medicine?
Zhouzhou quickly pulled out a pill from her bag and instructed, “Lay him flat.”
The others exchanged glances, unsure.
“Do as she says,” Xi Mo ordered, and Wei Fangyi nodded in agreement.
Though they didn’t know the girl’s background, Xi Mo wasn’t one to act recklessly. If he trusted her, so did they. They promptly laid Sun Hai down.
Zhouzhou swiftly fed him the pill, undressed his upper body, and started pulling out acupuncture needles from her bag. In no time, Sun Hai looked like a porcupine covered in needles.
Everyone around them was dumbfounded. A traditional Chinese doctor? This little girl?
Ignoring their reactions, Zhouzhou focused intently on her work, her small fingers expertly pressing acupuncture points. She slid her fingers to Sun Hai’s hand, made a cut with a knife, and black blood oozed from the wound.
After about half an hour, the blood finally turned red again, and Zhouzhou sighed in relief. She applied a hemostatic powder to the wound and removed the needles.
At that moment, everyone realized Sun Hai’s complexion had returned to normal. Though still pale, the blackness was gone.
The group was astonished–this little girl really knew medicine!
Seeing Sun Hai recover, Skinny Monkey couldn’t help but boast, “Our boss is amazing!”
The others couldn’t help but roll their eyes at his childish pride.
Someone noticed Cui Kun and asked, “Cui Kun, why are you here? Weren’t you transferred to the Fourth Bureau?”
Cui Kun replied, “I came with my boss,” casting a glance at Zhouzhou.
Following his gaze, the others were even more shocked. This little girl is his boss?!
Before they could process this, Xi Mo interrupted, “Save the chatter. Rest and regain your strength. Zhouzhou, help treat their wounds.”
He then stepped outside, knowing they needed to move quickly before sunrise, when it would be much easier for their enemies to find them.
Inside the cave, Zhouzhou continued treating their injuries. Aside from Sun Hai, the most seriously injured was Wei Fangyi, who had been shot in the waist and was losing a lot of blood.
When they discovered this, their eyes widened. No one had noticed before–Wei Fangyi hadn’t mentioned it, and his tone had been so normal that they only now realized how pale he was.
Even Zhouzhou was surprised, staring at him with her mouth slightly open. Wow. If that had been me, I’d be lying on the ground asking Uncle for extra money.
Admiration gleamed in her eyes as she glanced at him.
Wei Fangyi, amused by her expression, smiled. “You call Xi Mo ‘uncle’?”
“Yep, he’s my uncle!” Zhouzhou said proudly, putting her hands on her hips. “My uncle is the second-best in the world!”
Wei Fangyi raised an eyebrow. “So who’s the best?”
“Dad and Sharp Tongue Daddy!” Zhouzhou replied without hesitation. She glanced outside and winked at Wei Fangyi, whispering, “Shh, don’t tell my uncle.”
Just then, Xi Mo re-entered the cave.
Wei Fangyi chuckled softly and gave Xi Mo a meaningful look. “Ah, huh…the second best.”
