Chapter 800: The One Who Should Be Afraid Is You
Lu Mingyuan lowered his head, remaining silent. After a few seconds, he suddenly laughed, and his entire aura shifted in an instant.
Seeing this, Zhouzhou’s expression changed slightly. She gripped her Peachwood Sword tightly and took two small steps back.
Lu Mingyuan glanced at her, a wicked smile tugging at the corner of his lips, but he quickly shifted his gaze away. He swept his eyes over the half-siblings standing before him, and finally, his gaze settled on Lu Mingcheng.
With a slight tilt of his head, he said casually, “You’ve said everything you wanted, and now you want to play the good guy? You really want to have it all, don’t you?”
Hearing this, the three siblings’ eyes widened in disbelief. They couldn’t believe that the Lu Mingyuan, who had always let them bully him without saying a word, could say something like this.
“You must be crazy!” Lu Mingya, the girl, blurted out.
Lu Minghan, known for his hot temper, snapped and swung his fist toward Lu Mingyuan. “You’re asking for death!”
But Lu Mingyuan casually glanced at him with a look as if he were trash. The next moment, he grabbed Lu Minghan’s hand and twisted it back.
A cry of pain echoed instantly: “Ahhh–”
Lu Minghan clutched his dislocated arm, breaking out in a sweat from the pain.
“Third Brother!” Lu Mingya exclaimed, rushing forward to attack Lu Mingyuan, but Lu Mingcheng suddenly raised his hand and held her back.
“Second Brother?” Lu Mingya looked at him in confusion, not understanding why he was stopping her.
Lu Mingcheng, however, didn’t offer any explanation. He just stared at Lu Mingyuan and suddenly spoke, “You’re not Lu Mingyuan.”
Upon hearing this, Lu Mingyuan’s lips curled up. “If I’m not Lu Mingyuan, then who am I?”
Lu Mingcheng fell silent. He didn’t know. But he was certain the person in front of him was definitely not his weak older brother. The person standing before him even felt dangerous.
Lu Mingya didn’t care about all that, though. Furious, she said, “He’s been pretending all along!”
He must have been acting all these years, and now his true nature was revealed.
Well, she knew it! He never seemed like someone who was truly so detached from worldly desires.
Lu Mingyuan didn’t deny it. He teased them like one would with pets, coaxing, “Then tell me, why did I pretend?”
“Of course, it’s for the family inheritance,” Lu Mingya snapped without hesitation.
Lu Mingyuan continued, “Then tell me, why am I no longer pretending now?”
“Because…” Lu Mingya was suddenly at a loss for words.
Yeah, why wasn’t he pretending anymore?
She stared at him, bewildered.
Meanwhile, Lu Mingcheng’s eyes darkened further, a growing sense of dread gnawing at him.
At that moment, Butler Zhou appeared–he was their father’s most trusted man, even more so than any of his children.
Seeing him, Lu Mingya smirked smugly. “You’re finished! I’ll make sure everyone knows that everything you’ve shown was a lie!”
Lu Mingyuan merely shrugged, unbothered, and even a little expectant.
Seeing his nonchalance, Lu Mingcheng’s sense of foreboding deepened. But he still couldn’t figure out what cards Lu Mingyuan held that made him so confident now.
Before long, Butler Zhou approached. Without sparing a glance at the others, he directly bowed slightly to Lu Mingyuan and said respectfully, “Chairman.”

Upon hearing this, everyone froze.
Lu Minghan and Lu Mingya were utterly dumbfounded. “Uncle Zhou, who are you calling ‘Chairman’? If my father finds out, he’ll fire you!”
Butler Zhou showed no panic. In fact, he was quite patient as he explained, “Miss, I’m afraid you won’t have that chance.”
Lu Mingcheng’s eyelid twitched.
Butler Zhou continued, “Because the old master has just passed away. He left a will, transferring all his shares to the eldest young master. So, the eldest young master is now the Chairman of the Lu Corporation.”
Impossible!
Their eyes widened in shock.
Sure, they had inherited some assets, but their father’s shares were the most critical part of the inheritance. Those shares meant hundreds of billions of yuan every year. More than just wealth, they symbolized power.
Whoever held those shares was the true heir of the Lu Corporation, not just some rich second-generation kid living off the company.
How could their father hand over the shares to Lu Mingyuan?
Lu Mingya screamed hysterically, demanding an explanation. She didn’t care about her father’s sudden death–her only concern was the inheritance.
But Lu Mingyuan’s expression remained unchanged. He simply raised his hand and said, “It’s too noisy. Don’t scare my guest. Take them out.”
“Yes, sir,” Butler Zhou replied promptly, calling in security to escort them out without further ado.
Lu Mingya tried to shout more, but her mouth was quickly covered by a guard, and within moments, she was dragged outside.
Everyone around was stunned by what had just happened, unable to believe they had just witnessed such a spectacle. The Lu family had truly changed overnight!
Ignoring the onlookers, Lu Mingyuan looked down and met a pair of large, curious eyes.
Those eyes were filled with curiosity and inquiry, but not fear.
Seeing the little girl, Lu Mingyuan raised an eyebrow slightly. “You’re not afraid of me?”
Zhouzhou, with her chubby face, shook her head. “You’re the one who should be afraid of me.”
After all, she could send him off to reincarnation.
Upon hearing this, Lu Mingyuan laughed as if he had just heard the most ridiculous thing.
His laugh was quiet but strange.
Zhouzhou rubbed her arms, her skin crawling, and frowned. Suddenly, she asked, “Can you bring back the good uncle? I want to play with him.”
Lu Mingyuan’s laughter stopped abruptly. He looked at her, his eyes flashing with an unreadable expression. “Who are you talking about?”
“The uncle who was having dinner with me earlier,” Zhouzhou said, tugging at his clothes as she curiously searched him, “Where did that uncle go?”
Her childish words seemed innocent, but Lu Mingyuan couldn’t help but smile again. There was a deep amusement in his eyes.
He hadn’t expected the first person to notice this would be a little girl. Not even his own father, siblings, or anyone else had realized.
Interesting.
As the little girl began tugging at his shirt, Lu Mingyuan suddenly grabbed her wrist.
“I am him.”
Zhouzhou, not convinced, looked at him skeptically. He continued casually, “I and he are the same person.”
“No, you’re not.” Unexpectedly, Zhouzhou immediately denied his claim. “You’re a bad guy. The uncle is a good person. You two are definitely not the same.”
Upon hearing this, Lu Mingyuan raised an eyebrow, his gaze meaningful. “Little girl, aren’t you afraid that you won’t leave here alive after insulting me?”
His voice lowered, filled with threat.
But Zhouzhou blinked, shook her head, and drew her Peachwood Sword, replying earnestly, “I already told you–the one who should be afraid is you.”
