Chapter 880: Who is the Spy?
Since Garen made that statement, the atmosphere among them had shifted.
Looking at their expressions, Garen laughed again, “Of course, I know that the traitor has been found, and the rest of you are absolutely loyal to me.”
“You are my best brothers. After this job is done, we’ll be able to live the high life.”
Hearing this, a few of them seemed moved. After all, they risked their lives for money. Otherwise, who would be willing to do such dangerous work? Garen was suspicious by nature, but he was bold, profitable, and generous. That was enough.
With that thought, the mood lightened, and they began chatting happily again.
Suddenly, one of them raised a gun, pointed it at Garen, and shouted in Chinese, “Go to hell!”
The next moment, with a loud bang, he collapsed.
Everyone froze. They had clearly heard the man speak Chinese. None of them were Chinese, so how could he speak the language?
Garen’s expression darkened. “I knew it! How else could Ye have known our whereabouts? There’s been a spy all along!”
He glared around the group. He had thought he had already killed the traitor, but now it seemed there might be more. Were there other spies in the group?
And what about the group of Chinese they encountered a few days ago? Had they left on purpose to lower their guard?
A flood of thoughts crossed Garen’s mind, and his killing intent rose. His subordinates, familiar with that murderous look, felt a chill down their spines. They had seen him kill others many times, but this was the first time they feared they might be next.
One of them hurriedly declared his loyalty, “Boss, we swear we haven’t betrayed you!”
“Yeah, we’ve been with you since the beginning. You know that!”
Of course, he knew. But there was someone scheming behind the scenes.
Zhouzhou, having dealt with one of them, observed their expressions closely. She noticed that when the last guy died, one man seemed especially pained. A smile appeared on her round face.
She quickly activated an Instant Move Talisman, moving behind him and giving him a shove.
Garen immediately turned to look, “Is it you?”
The man went pale and frantically shook his head. “It wasn’t me! Someone pushed me!”
“Someone pushed you?” Garen squinted at the two men standing next to him.
Panic set in as the two men denied everything.
“You’re lying! You were close with Carl! You two were always together!” Carl was the one who had just been killed.
“Yeah, that’s right!” The two, eager to clear their names, threw him under the bus without hesitation.
Their accusations weren’t exactly false–those two were close friends. The accused man, unable to defend himself, looked at Garen in desperation.
“Who pushed you?” Garen asked coldly.
Unable to answer, the man’s silence was all the proof Garen needed. With a cruel smile, Garen pulled out his gun and shot him.
In a matter of minutes, three were dead. Of the original nine, only six remained, not including Garen himself.
Garen stared at the remaining group. “Anyone who betrays me will end up like this.”
The group trembled, knowing full well that Garen had always been quick to kill. Until now, they had thought they were safe, but they realized they weren’t. Garen wouldn’t hesitate to kill them all if he wanted to.
Some even began to suspect that Garen might be doing this on purpose. The job was nearly complete, and they’d soon get paid. If Garen killed them now, wouldn’t the money all go to him?

Sensing their doubts, Ancestral Master nearly laughed out loud. This little chubby girl was something else.
But it wasn’t over yet.
Zhouzhou, grinning, used an Instant Move Talisman to return to Lan Tian’s side. She removed her Invisibility Talisman and whispered in his ear, “Brother, how do you say ‘strike first’ in English?”
Lan Tian, who had seen the group turn on each other but hadn’t heard their conversation, now realized everything had been Zhouzhou’s doing. He couldn’t help but chuckle internally and explained the phrase.
Zhouzhou repeated the words to herself, then slapped on the Invisibility Talisman and Instant Move Talisman, returning to the scene of the “Who is the Spy” game.
She was ready for round two!
Spotting someone who looked especially displeased, Zhouzhou nodded to herself. He was the next lucky winner!
She moved to his side, and using a Voice-Changing Talisman, she whispered in his ear in a low, bubbling tone that only he could hear.
The man’s heart raced. Exactly! He would rather kill first than wait to be killed. There were more of them, and only one Garen.
Zhouzhou repeated her trick with the others, whispering the same words in their ears. Their expressions changed as they exchanged furtive glances, realizing they all had the same thought.
Gritting their teeth, they made a decision. Attack!
In the next second, one man grabbed his gun and shouted, “Shoot!”
The others immediately followed suit.
However, Garen was faster. In the blink of an eye, he took down three of them.
Seeing this, the remaining few gritted their teeth. If they were going to die, they’d take him with them!
One of them aimed his gun at the crates on the ground, madness in his eyes. But with a loud “clang,” his shot was blocked by something.
He paused, confused.
In that brief moment, Garen shot him dead.
All of them lay on the ground, their eyes wide open in death, unable to rest in peace.
Their spirits slowly drifted out of their bodies, and as they did, they spotted Zhouzhou, still invisible. Their eyes widened in disbelief.
A child?!
The one who had been pushed earlier realized immediately–it was her!
The others also figured it out, glaring at Zhouzhou with hatred.
Zhouzhou turned and smiled sweetly at them, waving her little hand. See? I’m so polite.
But the spirits, furious, rushed at her.
Zhouzhou sighed.
So aggressive.
With a wave of her hand, their spirits instantly disintegrated, leaving them with no chance to reincarnate.
Garen, oblivious to what had just happened, sneered at the corpses. “Betray me, and you’ll die!”
Suddenly, a soft little voice rang in his ear, “But none of them betrayed you, you know?”
