Chapter 897: Heavenly Thunder: Time to Strike!
“Sixth Brother, look at this!” Zhouzhou waved the talisman in her hand, her little face full of excitement.
“This is the Wind-Driven Talisman drawn by Ancestral Master! It’s super powerful–it can blow the polluted water right back at them!”
Hearing this, Wei Feng’s eyes lit up. “Really?”
Probably. Though Zhouzhou wasn’t sure if it would be strong enough.
She looked at Ancestral Master for confirmation.
Ancestral Master hadn’t used it before, so he wasn’t entirely sure either.
“How about we take another loop around to gauge the area?” he suggested. If the talisman wasn’t enough, he could always make a few more.
Zhouzhou nodded vigorously, her eyes eagerly seeking approval from Ye Lingfeng.
Ye Lingfeng patted her head and instructed Lan Tian to take aerial photos of the area, then directed him to circle the sea surface once. The impact was already visible on the first day. Even if they could blow the water back, the damage was irreversible.
As Zhouzhou saw the pale bellies of fish floating on the water, her heart ached terribly. How could those people be so cruel?
“What’s the plan now?” Lan Tian’s voice came through after circling around.
Ye Lingfeng thought for a moment before deciding, “Let’s head back first.”
Lan Tian didn’t respond, and the plane showed no signs of turning back.
Ye Lingfeng glanced at the cockpit. “Once we have a solid plan, we’ll return.”
“How long will it take?” Lan Tian asked.
“Less than a day.”
Only then did Lan Tian breathe a sigh of relief.
Zhouzhou leaned against the window, glaring down at the staff monitoring the discharge site, her little fists clenched in anger. Out of the corner of her eye, she caught sight of something and her eyes lit up.
She stealthily beckoned Heavenly Thunder closer and whispered, “Mr. Thunder, strike those people with lightning!”
Heavenly Thunder took one look, then immediately flew out, surveying the area before coming back, sparking with electricity. Zhouzhou, a bit startled, clutched her head, worried about any accidental strikes. She’d never seen Mr. Thunder so excited!
Seeing Heavenly Thunder practically jumping with glee, Ancestral Master chuckled, “Go on, get to work.”
Heavenly Thunder gave him a look, then zipped off in a flash. So many terrible people here–it’d be a great service to strike them all!
Watching Heavenly Thunder eagerly preparing to act, Ancestral Master found it amusing and waved his hand. “Let’s go; we’ll let it have fun here for a few more days.”
“Or a few more years!” Zhouzhou grinned widely, hoping Mr. Thunder would strike down every last one of those evildoers.
With Ye Lingfeng’s assurance, Lan Tian readily agreed and flew them back to Jing City. The moment they disembarked, they encountered a familiar figure who smirked at Lan Tian.
“Chief, doing cosplay as a mule?” he joked, noticing the man’s long face.
Chief shot him a glare, itching to smack him.
“Come with me; someone wants to see you,” he said coldly, clearly planning to haul him back for disciplinary action. This time, if he uttered a single word on Lan Tian’s behalf, he’d never forgive himself.
Lan Tian chuckled cheekily. “Sorry, I’m still on duty.”
He quickly ducked behind Ye Lingfeng, adding, “Captain Ye will need me to pilot the plane soon. How about you lock me up after I’m done?”

Hearing this, Chief turned to Ye Lingfeng. The moment he saw him, he immediately straightened up. He was about to salute, but Ye Lingfeng stopped him. “We’re out in public; let’s keep things simple.”
Realizing they were in a public setting, the Chief swallowed back his words. Ye Lingfeng, holding Zhouzhou’s hand, led the way, “Come, let’s discuss the plan.”
“Yes, sir.” Chief wiped the sweat from his brow, threw a side-eye at the smug Lan Tian, and followed.
Secretly, he began plotting. With Ye Lingfeng here, if he put in a few good words, Lan Tian might get off scot-free. Not that he’d be speaking on Lan Tian’s behalf–he’d leave that to Ye Lingfeng.
As he noticed Chief’s mood lifting, Lan Tian sidled up with a grin. “Chief, I knew you were always the best to me.”
Hearing this, Chief was immediately annoyed. Best? If Lan Tian didn’t get a good scolding, he’d never learn his lesson!
But when his gaze fell on Zhouzhou, he softened. “Aw, this little girl is adorable.”
Zhouzhou’s smile brightened, and she flashed him a sweet grin. She looked so well-behaved — exactly the type of little girl Chief adored.
Lan Tian, observing this, grinned. Just when Zhouzhou’s cuteness seemed to be melting him, Lan Tian whispered in his ear, “Cute, isn’t she? This is the same kid who fought alongside me in the jungle, punching enemies away like they were nothing.”
And just in case Chief needed more shock, he added, “She’s the one who took down Garen’s men. I was just her backup.”
Chief’s face froze, his eyes widening in disbelief as he looked at Zhouzhou.
No way! How could that be possible?
Zhouzhou, puffing up with pride, declared, “It’s true–I did it!”
Still unconvinced, Chief looked to Ye Lingfeng for confirmation. Seeing him nod, the last thread of doubt snapped. Looking at Zhouzhou again, his expression transformed.
She’d gone from “soft and adorable” to “Lan Tian 2.0”–a terrifying little troublemaker. No, she was even worse than Lan Tian; he only turned rogue as an adult. She was already making waves at her young age!
Noticing the change in his expression, Zhouzhou gave a little huff, holding her head high as she held Qin Lie’s hand with one hand and Ye Lingfeng’s with the other.
Don’t underestimate the Chubby Girl–she was formidable!
And not only was she prepared to dominate the skies, she was now ready to dive into the sea!
Zhouzhou’s fierce little stance only softened when she sat in Qin Lie’s arms, where she was instantly compliant. No matter how tough she acted outside, in front of her dad, she was just a daddy’s girl.
Seeing this, Ye Lingfeng snorted softly.
The Chief couldn’t help but wonder about their dynamic. The little girl must be Captain Ye’s daughter, but she was also clearly close to Qin Lie.
Of course, Ye Lingfeng felt a pang of frustration–just as he’d learned his daughter was alive, she’d already ended up in another man’s household.
Irritating!
Whenever he thought about it, it gnawed at him. He threw Qin Lie a fierce look. It was this scoundrel who’d taken his daughter!
Humph!
Driving, he kept glancing at Qin Lie with dagger-like eyes, puzzling the Chief even more.
Not long after, they arrived back at the Ye family residence. Zhao Xinghua and the people from the Dragon Group’s Wealthy Alliance were already there.
Seeing them, Lan Tian straightened up even more.
Support had arrived!
If they didn’t resolve his issue soon, he might just switch teams himself.
