Chapter 917: The Game Begins
With a soft hum, Zhouzhou looked up at him expectantly, her little head tilted. A slow smile crept up on Qin Lie’s face. He nodded and said solemnly, “I think it’s a go.”
The two shared a glance and burst into laughter together. After setting things down, Zhouzhou grabbed his hand and skipped out.
As soon as they stepped outside, they ran into the server they’d seen earlier. Zhouzhou trotted over and asked sweetly, “Big sister, I’m hungry. Where can I find a place to eat?”
The server glanced at Qin Lie and replied, “We offer in-room dining if you’d prefer.”
Did they really want them to stay in the room?
Zhouzhou’s eyes sparkled as she nodded. “Sure, thank you, big sister!”
“You’re very welcome.” The server handed a menu to Qin Lie, who, with a flash of extravagance, ordered a huge spread, picking out the priciest options. The server’s gaze grew more intense, lingering on him a bit longer than necessary as she left.
Back in the room, Zhouzhou puffed her cheeks and muttered, “Dad, I think they are interested in you more.”
The server hadn’t paid her much attention at all; her focus was all on Qin Lie. Little chubby girl felt a bit dejected–after all, back home, people’s attention was always on her.
Curious, Zhouzhou asked, “Dad, don’t people in northern Myanmar like kids?”
Qin Lie thought for a moment, then patted her little head. “Oh, they like kids, alright. But they probably think you’re not useful to them. Still, we should be careful.”
“Uh-huh!” Zhouzhou nodded firmly, her little head bobbing. “I know, I’m not stupid! Underestimating your opponent can be dangerous. Just like those big baddies.”
The people here probably thought the two of them were easy targets. But they weren’t–they were amazing! They were here especially to beat those big villains!
Not long after, the server returned, pushing several carts loaded with food and filling the whole table. She smiled and said, “Call me if you need anything else.”
“Okay!” Zhouzhou responded sweetly, giving her an innocent, wide-eyed look.
The server’s smile deepened as she watched Qin Lie pick up his chopsticks and start eating. Yes, the fat lambs were all hers.
Zhouzhou started eating too, cheerfully wolfing down food, her eyes curving into crescents as she looked at the server.
The tiger had entered the cage.
Once the server left, Zhouzhou discreetly handed Qin Lie an antidote. Before they’d even started eating, she had smelled the sedative mixed into the food. It wasn’t nearly as potent as what her master could make.
Though Qin Lie wasn’t professionally trained, Zhouzhou’s antidote worked quickly, and he felt no discomfort after taking it.
Zhouzhou finished her food, though she grumbled, “It doesn’t taste good at all.”
Qin Lie chuckled, “When we get home, I’ll treat you to something delicious.”
“Yes, yes! Home-cooked food is still the best.”
Hearing footsteps approaching, father and daughter exchanged a glance, tilted their heads, and closed their eyes.
When the server entered, she seemed surprised to see the empty plates and muttered, “They sure can eat…”
Well, the more they ate, the deeper they’d sleep.
“Come on in,” she called, and soon a few more people entered, examining Qin Lie like he was merchandise.
No one paid any attention to Zhouzhou. She opened one eye and, realizing that everyone was ignoring her, felt quite annoyed.
Couldn’t they see her? Such bad taste!
The men spoke in Chinese, and Zhouzhou overheard, “This one’s good–tall, strong-looking.”

“Hurry up and contact the buyer,” the server urged. “Highest offer takes him.”
The men nodded and took out their phones, preparing to make a call. Zhouzhou suddenly sprang up and kicked each of them aside before they could react. Their phones clattered to the ground as they stared at her in disbelief.
How was she still awake? And with such strength!
Zhouzhou put her little hands on her hips, fuming. “You guys really didn’t notice me at all?”
They looked down at her in silence.
The server jumped, about to call for help, but Zhouzhou’s sharp gaze shot over, and with another kick, she sent the server flying into the wall.
Qin Lie stood up leisurely, chopping down on each person like slicing a watermelon. To make sure they stayed down, Zhouzhou stuffed them with sedatives and tossed them into the closet, closing the door behind them.
Excited, Zhouzhou exclaimed, “Dad, let’s go outside! Playing possum is no fun–they’re too weak to waste time on.”
She had hoped to draw out their big boss, but it turned out to be just a few small fries. Zhouzhou was no longer interested in wasting her time.
Qin Lie nodded, “Alright, but be careful. They’re armed, and most of them have short hair.”
“Got it!” Zhouzhou’s head peeked out of the room.
Just then, the doors of the neighboring rooms opened, and Wan Leng and his team emerged.
Chen Tuo grinned, “I knew you wouldn’t stay put, Zhouzhou.”
“That’s not true,” Zhouzhou protested, glaring at him. “I’m a good kid!”
“Sure, sure,” Chen Tuo replied, feigning agreement.
Zhouzhou pouted. “Hmph! Stinky Little Brother…”
Chen Tuo rubbed his hands together and came over. “Let’s go, Zhouzhou. Time to stretch our muscles and then rescue the boss.”
“Alright.”
Zheng Yu entered and said, “I hacked their surveillance. They have around a hundred people, positioned…”
But Zhouzhou interrupted, “We’ll find them ourselves!”
Only fifty or so? That wasn’t enough to go around!
Catching on, Chen Tuo challenged, “Zhouzhou, dare to compete?”
Would Qin Billion refuse? Of course not.
She nodded immediately. “Bring it on.”
Wen Jing chuckled and added, “Let’s see who catches the most.”
No problem!
The group exchanged glances, their eyes burning with fighting spirit.
Qin Lie was about to join them, but Zhouzhou held him back. “Dad, you stay with Brother Black Coal.”
Zheng Yu wasn’t thrilled, grumbling, “I’m not dark anymore! I’m as white as a lightbulb now.”
Zhouzhou gave him a placating nod. “Then, Dad, stay with Mr. Lightbulb. It’s too dangerous.”
Knowing their abilities, Qin Lie didn’t insist, giving a nod and reminding them, “Be safe.”
“Alright, Dad, you’re the referee!” Zhouzhou said excitedly.
Qin Lie laughed, “Then I’ll count to three. One…”
Before he even finished counting, Chen Tuo had already dashed out.
Zhouzhou’s little pigtails shook in anger.
“Stinky Little Brother, you’re so asking for it!”
