Chapter 934: Early Predictions
He never used to believe such things, but now he couldn’t help but start to doubt it himself. Was he really that much of a punching bag? Otherwise, why would even someone trying to use him beat him up like this?
Thinking this way made him feel even worse. After living for thirty years, he was only now realizing that he truly was quite the punching bag. Wasn’t that just too damaging to his self-esteem?
Seeing his expression, Yu Ze nearly burst out laughing. It seemed this incident had dealt a significant blow to Huo Mingxuan; otherwise, how could he, usually so proud, ever admit to such a thing?
Worried that Huo Mingxuan might truly be feeling down, Yu Ze cleared his throat and chimed in, “It’s just that President Huo has too much principle.”
That’s right, just like that. Huo Mingxuan felt a sudden clarity. It was because he was unwilling to bow down to evil forces and refused to become complicit with them that they would beat him up; this was their problem, not his.
With this thought in mind, he glanced at his assistant and snorted disdainfully. The assistant lowered his head in shame. People are always afraid of death, but his behavior made him seem spineless.
Huo Ji’an blinked and said, “If you can’t win and still fight back, doesn’t that just mean you’re asking for a beating?”
Huo Mingxuan had finally found an excuse to convince himself, and his mood was improving, but just then, his son came out with such a statement that he nearly choked with anger.
Zhouzhou also chimed in, “Right? When it’s time to play dumb, you still need to act dumb, right? Confuse your enemy so you can find the opportunity to beat them!”
Huo Ji’an didn’t understand what she said, but wanting to show he was educated, he nodded in agreement, “Chubby Girl, you’re right!”
So the truth was clear: he really was asking for it!
Both little faces turned to Huo Mingxuan in unison, which made him roll his eyes in irritation.
He waved his hand weakly and said, “You guys go away, I don’t want to talk to you anymore.”
“See? You’re asking for a beating again,” Huo Ji’an said, “This is Chubby Girl’s house; where do you want to send her away to? Is it another beating you want?”
Huo Mingxuan replied, “… Fine, fine, fine, I’ll go!”
Can’t argue with him, but he can always avoid him!
Grandma Qin was almost laughing herself silly at these two lively children. She hurriedly pressed Huo Mingxuan down and said, “Alright, you just lie down, you’re still injured. You’ll stay here for a few days, and let Zhouzhou take care of you properly.”
“Ji’an, Zhouzhou, you two should say less,” she added. “It’ll be troublesome if you really make him angry.”
Hearing this, Zhouzhou and Huo Ji’an exchanged glances and sighed in unison; fine, adults just can’t handle the truth.
Yu Ze couldn’t help but feel a bit sorry for Huo Mingxuan; he was having a tough time. If he were in his shoes, he’d probably be so angry he’d spit blood.
Such a hard life.
Meanwhile, Zhouzhou and Huo Ji’an felt nothing, and after finishing teasing him, they held hands and went off to play.
A pair of little ungrateful kids.
Then Huo Ji’an asked, “Chubby Girl, have you finished your diary? The teacher wants to check it tomorrow at school.”
Upon hearing this, Zhouzhou’s eyes widened; oh no, she forgot! The teacher asked them to write a diary, recording what they did over the last two days.
Zhouzhou counted on her little chubby fingers; she went to Northern Myanmar, beat up two bad guys, saved many people, and even acted as a robber, robbing the bad guys’ house…
She couldn’t write about those things, right?
So what should she write?
Zhouzhou frowned, troubled.
After thinking for a moment, she picked up her assignment book and peeked into the study, seeing Qin Lie and Ye Lingfeng talking inside. Not wanting to disturb them, she turned and knocked on Qin Ren’s door instead.

Qin Ren was reading a book when he heard the noise and said, “Come in.”
When he saw the little chubby girl walk in, a smile instantly spread across his face.
He waved Zhouzhou over and said gently, “What’s up?”
Zhouzhou pouted, saying, “Big Brother, I don’t know how to write my diary.”
Upon hearing this, Qin Ren understood immediately.
He hadn’t personally gone on the mission, but he could guess how dangerous it had been. The most important thing was that these matters couldn’t be known by outsiders.
Even if they were written down, no one would believe them anyway. Who would believe a primary school student went to Northern Myanmar to save people?
“It’s okay; I have a way,” Qin Ren said.
Under Zhouzhou’s trusting and expectant gaze, he opened his phone, searched for a diary entry, and placed it in front of Zhouzhou, saying, “Copy this.”
Zhouzhou: “…”
She looked up at him, her little face serious, “Big Brother, isn’t lying and copying other’s homework bad?”
How could you teach a child to do bad things?
Qin Ren replied, “You definitely can’t write about those things; it’s all made up anyway. It’s the same whether you make it up or someone else does.”
That seemed somewhat reasonable?
After pondering for a moment, Zhouzhou sighed, “I have it too hard.”
Saying that, she still started to copy.
Qin Ren watched her, and suddenly a scene appeared in his mind.
In the future, when Zhouzhou took over her father’s role, she would go on missions during the day and come home at night to do her homework. That image was quite amusing.
There was nothing he could do; she was just that incredible.
Qin Ren thought proudly.
Zhouzhou was still unaware that this scene would soon become a regular occurrence; she was currently focused on finishing her homework.
After writing, she lay her head on the table, feeling so tired.
Qin Ren patted her little head and brought over a plate of fruit, offering it to her.
Zhouzhou munched on it, and after eating half, she quickly regained her energy.
Suddenly remembering something, Zhouzhou tugged on Qin Ren’s sleeve, pouting, “Big Brother, can you help me with something?”
“What is it?” Qin Ren asked.
“Wait for me a second,” Zhouzhou said. She jumped down from her chair and dashed back to her room, quickly coming back with her little computer. She also had a mask in her hand, peeking outside the door to ensure no one was watching before closing it behind her.
She looked quite sneaky.
Qin Ren looked at her in confusion, unsure of what she was up to.
Zhouzhou handed the computer to him and put on her mask, explaining how Zheng Yu set up facial recognition for her on the Dark Web.
She wore the mask and excitedly typed away on the keyboard, entering the Dark Web, saying, “Hehe, I’m so smart; as long as I wear a mask and cover my face, it’ll be fine.”
As soon as she finished speaking, the screen flashed, and she was back to the quiz page.
Then a message appeared on the screen: “Don’t even think about it, Zhouzhou. I’ve already prevented that move. What do you think, I’m very smart, right?”
It was from Zheng Yu.
Zhouzhou’s smile instantly froze.
How could this happen?!
Qin Ren suppressed his laughter, half-clenching his fist to cover his mouth, although his eyes still revealed his amusement.
“Big Brother.” Zhouzhou looked at him with big, pitiful eyes, her little face full of grievance. “They’re bullying me, woo woo woo! My life is so hard!”
“Cough, cough, cough–” Qin Ren couldn’t hold back anymore and burst into laughter.
Seeing this, Zhouzhou’s voice faltered, and she immediately began to cry.
“Big Brother is laughing at me!”
