Chapter 961: The Drama Queen Comes On Stage
With a loud “clang,” the bulletproof glass in the room was instantly shattered.
However, in the next second, the person’s body stopped, crashing straight to the ground. In just one second, he lost his breath.
The glass shards had pierced his body, and blood stained the floor red.
Alva, however, began to laugh. “Did you see that? This is the result of my latest research. It can unleash all of a person’s potential. As long as someone can use their full potential, even a fool can become a genius. How about that?”
He looked at Jing Bai with anticipation.
Jing Bai, however, didn’t show any signs of emotion on his face. His voice was cold, almost indifferent.
“Trash.” He only respond with one word.
He glanced at the body on the ground.
Alva’s expression stiffened. The atmosphere instantly became heavy, and the other researchers around them fell silent, holding their breath.
Alva’s assistant suddenly drew a gun and pressed it to Jing Bai’s forehead. “What did you say?!”
Jing Bai ignored him and looked directly at Alva, repeating, “Trash.”
What was the point of a few minutes gained by draining someone’s life?
“You’re seeking death!” The assistant snarled as he prepared to pull the trigger, but Alva suddenly pushed him aside.
He turned to face Jing Bai, his snake-like eyes filled with malice, but he forced a smile. “So, you’re here to join us, huh?”
“We’ll work together and create the most perfect results, making his survival time a little longer.”
Alva had invited Jing Bai to collaborate on this many times before, but Jing Bai had never agreed. He had assumed this time would be the same, but instead, Jing Bai nodded slightly. “Mm.”
Upon hearing this, Alva froze for a moment, then smiled with an amused expression. “What made you change your mind? Could it be that you’re too disappointed with the Fourth Bureau of from your country?”
He even knew about the Fourth Bureau?!
Lu Shi’s heart tightened, and his gaze fixed on Jing Bai, his face showing murderous intent.
Did he leak it?
Hearing Alva’s words, Jing Bai’s face remained expressionless, though there was a hint of arrogance in his eyes. He glanced at the corpse on the ground, then looked at Alva with a sense of impatience and disdain.
“Trash.”
He was clearly saying that he only agreed because he couldn’t stand Alva’s garbage.
This was almost a direct insult to Alva’s face, yet Alva wasn’t angry at all. Instead, he burst into laughter.
This was the Jing Bai he knew, the one he had created.
Perfect, a genius, but without any emotions.
Loyalty to Hua Country? Impossible.
He had never injected such a serum into his blood.
He licked his lips and said with some regret, “You shouldn’t have left back then. The useless fools you killed are irrelevant. You could’ve just come here. My people aren’t as useless as them.”
He said this without any hint of hesitation, and the surrounding researchers couldn’t help but shiver, looking at him with fear.

They all knew that he truly felt this way and would act on it.
They knew Jing Bai, the only subject who survived among thousands of experiments.
And all those serums, they had been personally developed by Dr. Alva. No one had ever survived them—except for Jing Bai.
Jing Bai was the exception.
Moreover, his abilities were almost flawless, perfectly meeting Alva’s experimental goals.
Unfortunately, when he turned eighteen, he had wiped out all the researchers and left Country A, disappearing without a trace.
Alva had spent a great deal of effort to track him down.
When he found out that Jing Bai was actually working for Hua Country, he only found it laughable.
A person like him? Impossible.
Indeed, as expected from someone raised on his serum, Jing Bai lacked those kinds of emotions. All that remained was an obsession with science.
He patted Jing Bai’s shoulder with satisfaction. “You’ll see, being with me is the right choice.”
Jing Bai did not respond. He only said, “Let’s begin.”
He acted as if he wasn’t interested in small talk at all.
Alva didn’t seem to mind and burst into laughter. “Alright, let’s pick another test subject. You go ahead and choose.”
“Mm.” Jing Bai nodded indifferently, pointing at Zhouzhou and Lu Shi.
“They’ll do.”
Alva looked at them, and seeing a child among them, he didn’t take it seriously. “It’s up to you.”
“Speaking of which, when you were as young as this little girl, you had already passed university courses. I wonder if she’ll be able to become powerful under your guidance.”
That seemed unlikely.
He had heard that Little Chubby Girl was still learning elementary school content from Qin Ren.
He thought this to himself, but showed no emotion on his face, as if he didn’t care at all about what he had just said.
Not even his own past seemed to matter to him, which made it clear just how cold he was.
Alva, however, grew more and more pleased as he watched.
This was what he wanted.
This was the person he had been striving to create.
Someone with no emotions, not even toward himself.
Soon, Zhouzhou and Lu Shi were taken to the laboratory. As expected, the entire room was surrounded by cameras, and Alva stood by, watching. They were unable to speak and could only glare at him.
Especially Lu Shi, whose gaze was sharp enough to cut through him like a blade.
He pretended to be angry and shouted, “Let go of me! We are Chinese, and we will not let you get away with this!”
Zhouzhou, meanwhile, was rubbing her eyes, crying uncontrollably. “Big brother, please let me go! I don’t want the injection! I’m scared! I want to see my dad…”
Upon hearing this, Jing Bai glanced at her. There was no change in his expression, but his eyes revealed a trace of disdain.
Zhouzhou pouted, silently muttering in her heart, “It’s not fair.”
This wasn’t something he had created. Why was she the one who had to suffer?
What she had used on him were the serums she had developed herself.
Upon hearing this, Jing Bai looked at the serum in his hand with a look of disgust. He didn’t even bother looking at Alva. He directly said, “Prepare it again. I want to do my own research.”
Alva nodded. “Sure, I’m looking forward to seeing your results.”
“Then I’ll take these two for now.”
He reached out to grab Zhouzhou.
However, Jing Bai suddenly seized his wrist, his tone calm as he said, “They’re mine.”
Alva looked at him, then at Zhouzhou, and a dangerous glint flashed in his eyes.
No one dared to stop him.
Jing Bai, too, was forceful, and the two of them were locked in a standoff.
After a few seconds, Alva suddenly let go of his hand. “Fine, you can have them.”
It was normal; after all, Jing Bai didn’t understand the concept of sharing.
To him, these two were no different from lifeless objects.
“I’ll go find other objects then.”
He shrugged, not caring, and quickly walked away.
After he left, Zhouzhou immediately avoided the cameras and gave Jing Bai a small smile, mouthing the words, “Big Brother!”
Lu Shi also looked at him, his eyes as sharp as daggers, almost as though they could slice him into pieces.
Traitor!
Jing Bai looked at them and quickly prepared two vials of serum, walking toward them with an emotionless face…
