Chapter 1278: Overpowered (Part 1)
It was sad that he couldn’t just kill him, but he threw him over the gorge—did he manage to throw it accurately, he wondered? He couldn’t see because there were so many people.

In any case, if he did, the end spot of that gorge was where Zaol was stationed, so whether or not that person did land on a gorge, he’d be taken care of.

While Gregor was wondering whether he had shot accurately, the other people gaped. After all, their leader was literally just thrown in the air and he hadn’t returned yet!

“You!!”

Basset Town forces looked in confusion, some having an estimate of his strength of the newcomer.

“A level 60!!”

“What?”

“Are you sure?”

“YES!”

People generally would be less privy to the levels of people above them, with the percentage of error getting larger as the gap widened. However, one of them happened to have awakened a skill called [Level Sight] and could accurately see the levels of anyone, regardless of the gap.

It had been relatively useless his whole life, but this was not the situation he would’ve used it on!

In Towns, the highest level was pretty much level 40, and maybe a bit higher if it was a super old person. Basset, a new Town, had very few level 40s.

Further, those people acted like participating in wars was below them, especially against one that had just upgraded.

What was this now?!

“It must be from a city!”

“Why would they help?”

“Does it matter! It’s not like they can attack us!”

“AHH!”

“GAHH!”

Alterrans naturally took advantage of the distraction and jumped at the enemies, dealing with them together.

The enemies forced themselves to calm, and several people ran to different directions, no doubt to find other—less troublesome—enemies to deal with.

Gregory looked at them. He was not allowed to attack, but he could certainly defend.

At this, a gust of wind appeared between the mob and the walls, and it wasn’t at a level they had seen before.

It was like a concentrated storm, a strong gust of wind that blew every enemy in the battlement back down!

“What!!”

They gaped, looking at Gregory as if he was an insurmountable mountain.

A level 60 powerhouse and an elementalist!! What the heck!!!!

…

In other parts of the battlement, a similar sight could be seen.

In another area, there was Orion, whose powerful electricity crackled around him.

Follow new episodes on the "N0vel1st.c0m".

He was Level 45 and beyond the level cap. He couldn’t attack these people directly with aggressive techniques. However, he knew that a little zap was enough to scare many of these people.

He also had such an apathetic expression on his face, so many of the enemies genuinely feared he wouldn’t care for any punishment and just zap everyone to death!

Next was Otto, a Level 43 wind elementalist, and he sent a little whirlwind in front of the stairs, eventually imbalancing it too.

The guards who were fighting took advantage of the winds to push their enemies there. They might even get carried by the winds even for just a moment.

Someone clapped before heading back to his own battle, and many wind users were so inspired by the show of power.

In another area, there was Obi, who was just within the level cap at Level 40.

He had fun burning down the stairs and siege shields he could access. A lot of attempts for burning siege shields had happened since they appeared, but there were enemy elementalists ready to take it out.

However, Obi was far more powerful than they were, and they had no choice but to watch their siege shields in the area burn down.

If he wasn’t assigned to guard this place, Obi might’ve run around doing the same elsewhere, but alas. The enemy still had level 30s here and there, how could he abandon his post? Anyway, taking down those shields would be convenient but not worth the opening that leaving his area would create.

Fortunately, Luis and a few others were probably doing that in certain areas, which could help take the mob down a notch.

Olga guarded her own section, with a large water snake, or rather—a boa constrictor, inspired from Terran books—around her.

She had focused her ability on the aggressive water techniques and hadn’t touched the other side yet even after reaching her age.

This was because she didn’t want to be “dependent and weak”, which was what she associated with the other, softer, side of this element. This meant that while healing skills were out of the question, her aggressive skills weren’t bad.

She also felt satisfied whipping these damned men back to the ground.

“Hope you get stepped on to death,” she said, as she watched a pervert fall headfirst and get stepped on by his allies.

The bastard dared to look at her lustfully and even tried to approach her. Did he not see she was 10 levels higher than he was?! Olga felt offended by that more than she should.

This was very fun. It wasn’t that she was what Alterrans called a Sadist, but she liked the feeling of power and actually being useful in a way men usually were.

Slap!

Spat!

Splash!

She had also learned a few techniques in Alterra. She particularly liked shoving a waterball up people’s noses.

It required little energy, but could distract an enemy for long enough before a lethal attack. To some degree, her assists were even more effective than her brothers’.

For example, after kicking down a few more disgusting men, she created a few water balls and controlled them up people’s noses, specifically those who were close to climbing the walls.

“ACH!”

“GAH!”

Right on cue, the battlement guards brandished their weapons and slashed at them, heavily injuring—if not killing—the trespassers!

The young men couldn’t help but feel proud at the win, but also very admiring for the wonderful assist!

“Amazing, Miss Olga!”

“Beautiful and Powerful!”

Olga giggled.

Who’d have thought? The first official war she joined ended up being a fun one~
