Chapter 1291: Help Arrives!
“Now, for you two annoying women…” the level 30 said, a vindictive smile plastered on his face. From his look, they knew what he’d be doing to them!

“No…” Tilda said, forcing herself up to crawl to the door. Hana, on the other hand, immediately bolted.

This was not to abandon Tim, but to get help. Now that the bastard’s attention was not on Tim, the priority was to get the enemy far from him—and also for her not to get molested.

However, the enemy was too fast. He arrived in front of her within a few blinks.

Fortunately, before he could grab her, a sword appeared in a sweeping motion, keeping them apart.

SLASH!

It was Atlas, wearing a guard uniform.

The two women gasped in relief. “Atlas!!”

“ATLAS!” Tilda yelled and Hana’s eyes widened as they saw an old acquaintance. She knew a fight was going to happen so she quickly stepped back and pulled up Tilda. “Cover them!”

“What? Why would I—”

BANG!

The two women screamed when they heard the fight had begun. Atlas was kicked to the end of the hallway, but fortunately, it seemed like he had a protection charm on him.

“HERE!” He yelled and a few more guards appeared with their shields. The enemy was immediately surrounded, and another battle commenced.

They also adopted a similar shield strategy. The hallway was narrow, and it was disadvantageous to them, so they had to push the fight back to the room where Hana and the others were.

They were much stronger than Tim’s group and the aborigine was very angry when he was really pushed back—all the way to the balcony, too.

He was forced to jump and enter the streets, where he was immediately surrounded by guards.

His eyes widened.

Where are the others?!

…

Atlas was a member of Loki’s team, and they had just arrived in the area where leaks were reported. Atlas’ team was assigned to this particular street.

They immediately took care of the enemies they encountered.

After the street was cleared, they checked every evacuation house and quickly realized that one house had been breached.

Hopefully, they weren’t too late.

“Atlas!” Hana yelled. “The others!”

The man saw the half-dead people in the room and nodded. He walked out onto the balcony, looking at the street below him.

They were already finishing off the bastard who got inside, leaving a few others freer and about to head elsewhere. “Call the logistics officer! Bring him to the hospital now!”

Someone blew the whistle specific to the logistics team.

It was a special whistle Taho, their local Beast Tamer, made. After getting recruited and ‘studied’ in Alterra, his inability to tame beasts had been discussed, and they somehow found even more uses for his whistle-making skills.

The whistle he made created low-frequency, large-wavelength, sounds that would allow the sound to travel far without being irritating. Every Guard team had it to alert the closest logistics people that they needed medical assistance.

Loki and his team arrived in the area after seeing the emergency flare. They immediately shot down a lot of the strongmen causing trouble.

Beyond Tim’s area, there were still a few battles going on in other streets and Loki quickly shifted there.

More and more breaches had formed, and a lot of them were in this area. Led by elites, hundreds had already entered, causing a bit of damage.

This area was the most damaged so far. Even some of their buildings took damage, and a lot of injuries among the civilians occurred here.

From a distance, he could see the broat and bikebulances filled with patients. Hopefully, everyone was alive and would recover soon.

Anyway, Loki settled on the balconies of a corner house. He was targeting the strongest man here—Kon—and he had been hunting for him the past couple of minutes.

Loki made shot after shot, using his skill [Continuous Hits] to increase his speed as he did so. Combined with the use of an improved crossbow, the speed of shooting was just a little slower than the older machine guns.

Each shot, someone was hit. Because the enemies averaged at level 20s or more though, he had yet to one-shot an enemy. Most of the time, the arrow would embed, but not deep enough for the killing shot.

However, even so, most of them would feel woozy after getting hit. They would feel the location where the arrow hit would heat up, and it felt like it was burning.

To those in their early level twenties, this was debilitatingly painful. “AH!”

The man’s feet buckled, no doubt feeling the pain of the poison. “IT HURTS!” he yelled, feeling as if he was being burned inside.

Loki nodded at the effect and continued shooting. Other than a few healing potions, his space was filled with arrows and bottles of poison.

It wasn’t just any type of poison, either. It was a poison developed by Miss Althea herself with the help of the Grandmaster! He begged to get a few samples, and he managed to buy them with some contribution points.

It was something newly developed with the help of Grandmaster Hoffen. It was so strong that it could affect a level 30 and kill people with a lower level.

Even Kon, who was grazed once—and had good defense equipment—felt some effect.

Further, he was several levels higher than the attacker and the effects of the poison was limited on him, but it did not mean that it didn’t hurt the orcshit! Even a graze felt like fire spreading from the wound outwards!

He glared at the archer with annoyingly fast arrows, each one causing them so much trouble! The bastard was coolly standing above eye level, as if he wasn’t affected by hurting them so much!

This wouldn’t do—if they don’t handle that bastard, they’d all just be sitting gugu birds!

“GET HIM!” Kon yelled and the sudden movement exacerbated the pain. His eyes turned red as he glared at the man who just shot arrow after arrow—as if not seeing him at all.

Kon cursed when another arrow came his way, and he barely avoided it! When he felt his cheek heat up—grazed—he wanted to scream.

These bastards! They never end!
