Chapter 1345: Fargo’s End (Part 2)
Mathilda wanted to see what their people would do. She had a feeling the result wouldn’t be too bad.
She asked Eagle to continue, but to do it a lot more slowly. She didn’t ask him to order him to shut up, either.
Of course, there were also those with weaker hearts, greatly affected by his words. Some people shivered in remembrance, and some sobbed.
There were also many who just glared at him, wanting to stab him themselves. One of them was Aditi.
Her eyes were red as she stared at Fargo. She had just been in the hospital where Chris was being operated on.
When she found out this bastard was here, of course, she had to see his death! But look at him now, still yapping!
“I made sure… a lot of them suffered before they died…! Cough!” Fargo yelled. Even when he was losing oxygen faster, even if he was in pain, his willpower carried him on for a while longer. “I wanted… to see the hopelessness of not seeing their loved ones again—”
“I…” he said while the people tried to tighten the rope from below. “Will continue to haunt all of you—”
It was at this point that Rebi jumped up the gallows. He was carrying Juliet, who looked directly at Eagle and Mathilda. “Please loosen it! Please loosen the ropes!”
“What?” Eagle asked, blinking, while Mathilda smiled a little.
Interestingly, a lot of people agreed with Juliet and Rebi.
“Yes, please loosen it!” Aditi and a few others also yelled. At first, Eagle and the others were puzzled until they understood what this was about.
Indeed, how could they let him lose consciousness, thinking he got under their skin?!
At this, Eagle slightly loosened the ropes. Fargo was still hanging, but he was able to support himself by tilting his remaining leg.
More victims stepped forward, most standing just under the gallows, while some climbed up. They all looked at Fargo with various expressions on their faces but he realized that none of them had the terror and pain he expected them to have.
However, he refused to believe he didn’t get to them. They must be pretending! “You want to hear more?” he asked, blood and drool drooping down his shirt.
“You can shut up now,” Juliet said, ordering him. She was a citizen thanks to her many contributions rescuing girls from depression, and this meant she could order slaves around. Fargo’s veins popped at in indignance, but it also sent seething pain down his spine.
Eagle’s lips twitched. It did indeed feel more satisfying for Fargo to be ordered around by somehow he looked down on so much.
“We’re not keeping you alive,” Juliet said. “We just wanted you to see that you do not affect us, that you cannot have any impact in our lives anymore.”
Rebi nodded as he stepped forward, patting his wife’s shoulder. “We want to witness your death the same way we want to see a flying cockroach dead so they wouldn’t sneak around dirty our environment.”
Atlas was one of the people who later climbed up the gallows. He looked coldly at Fargo. “My brother was a good soul, you and your people took,” he said. “I want to witness your pitiful death in his stead.”
“You caused so much pain just because of your selfishness, not realizing that it didn’t mean anything in the end.”
“You do not matter, Fargo, you never have,” Juliet said, confidently. Fargo glared at her, remembering her pitiful state when he and his men got to her.
Look at her now, eyes devoid of fear and filled with contempt, just as he had looked at her back when she was begging for them not to touch her.
How dare she!
“It’s why you liked blowing things up, don’t you?” Juliet added. “Like a child throwing a tantrum to get noticed.”
“You are a waste of space, and we will happily see you get buried underground to enhance it instead. As fertilizer, of course. ”
And finally, the rope was pulled once again, and Fargo’s red eyes were wide as the last bit of oxygen was pulled away from him. And he looked down at his supposed victims, looking at him without emotion, but in his mind’s eye he could see them laughing at him, mocking him.
More than the physical pain, the humiliation was making him insane!!
He could no longer speak or even scream, and he had to suffer the pain several times as intense as it could’ve been. Slowly, he felt his vision turn black, but oddly the voices around him were amplified in his mind, as if stamping in his last bit of consciousness.

“A useless bug we are finally stomping down,” Juliet repeated as Fargo slowly lost his grasp of life. “Nothing more.”
…
Fargo’s corpse was thrown far outside the territory, approximately beyond what the future expansion would cover. They did not even want his bones in their territory, future or otherwise.
It was Garan and the others who got him there, and there were also other victims who wanted to see, while some had already moved on and went home.
“Bury him 3 feet to the ground,” Ryo said, looking at the corpse.
“Not six feet?”
“Nah, three feet is where he’d decompose best and be part of the land. Six feet has less oxygen and could produce methane.”
“Ew. Who’d want Fargo-flavored methane gas lurking around.”
“Precisely.”
At this, Earth users created a hole 3 feet deep to throw the corpse in, with some fire users even burning a bit more for good measure.
They did not turn him completely to ashes though, as that would be too honorable. Instead, they poured some bug attracting potion and soon maggots appeared to consume every bit of his flesh.
It was only when only bones and some sinew were left that Garan and the others finally went back to the territory.
And so was the end of Fargo, and soon… no one would even remember who he was.
