Chapter 1153: Part 1: Shock Force Integration (Inheritance)

I’m keeping an eye on the surroundings as we get closer to the Inheritance Area. Not long after, we came across huge ruins.

The broken structures are massive in number. I couldn’t even count them. On top of that, the ruins cover a huge area of the land.

“We have come to the right place. Let’s explore,” Emily said.

Hearing that, I nodded to her before we entered the place. Since it’s an Inheritance Area, the chances of it being located at the center of the ruins are high.

We started getting closer to the central area after navigating through the broken stone structures.

Soon, we came to the middle of the ruined structure, where we saw a massive door on the ground that leads to underground structures.

“Is this really the Inheritance Area?” I uttered.

“Don’t believe what’s in front of you. It’s the way to the inheritance palace,” Emily said with a smile before touching the door.

The next second, the massive iron door moved automatically, revealing a passage that led to the underground.

Emily entered without thinking further. Seeing that, my eyes gleamed with a twinkle, and then I followed her.

As we started going downwards, the huge iron door returned to its usual position. I cast a glance at it before proceeding down.

When we reached the basement, I was stunned. The scene in front of me amazed me. It was a massive hall.

On each side of the walls, there were many doors.

“It’s the door that leads to the Inheritance,” Emily said.

“Use your element to sense which door is suitable for you,” she added.

The next second, she covered her body with red moon power. Her body glowed with red moonlight.

A hint of surprise flashed in my eyes.

“What should I do?”

“I already have my Inheritance with me. I’m just looking for resources to strengthen my physique.”

“But if I could accept my inheritance before leaving the secret land, then I will have an alibi to confirm.”

“No one would suspect me of accepting an ancient Inheritance,” I said to myself.

“Stop daydreaming! Go to the rightmost corner room on your left side,” the ancient voice sounded in my mind.

Hearing that, I felt goosebumps all over my body. Then I turned around and saw Emily Smith had found a suitable room.

The next second, she touched the door and disappeared from the spot.

Then I turned towards my left side and started walking towards the rightmost corner room.

The next second, I disappeared from the spot. When I found my feet on solid ground, I opened my eyes.

Then I saw the most horrific scene. I was standing on an ancient battlefield. There were piled-up corpses all around me.

The sky was covered with darkness. Fire and smoke could be seen on the battlefield. The smell of blood and smoke assaulted my nose.

“Defeat 100,000 foreign creatures of the same rank to get my ‘Shock Force Integration Inheritance.'”

A deep ancient voice from the sky reached my ears. I immediately collected my thoughts and realized that it must be some kind of trial.

“But what’s with ‘Shock Force Integration Inheritance’?” I asked myself.

“Be ready! Accept this Inheritance to strengthen your body, mind, and soul. Then your physique will be ready to withstand the Ancient Guardian God’s Inheritance,” the ancient voice from the hidden god’s blood said.

Hearing this, my eyes flickered with understanding. I was looking for the final few resources to strengthen my physique.

But I never expected it would take a whole inheritance to complete the transformation of my physique.

The next second, the changes on the battlefield brought my thoughts back.

Then I saw a weird 10-foot tall, six-legged humanoid creature coming towards me. The scene itself sent cold shivers down my spine.

“What the f@ck?” I blurted out.

Then a rational thought kicked in at the last moment, reminding me that it’s a trial. But still, I had to defeat 100,000 foreign creatures to get the inheritance.

A single dark purple lightning bolt appeared in my right palm. I looked at it before activating my perception.

Then I saw the disgusting creature was only a few meters away from me.

I shot the dark purple lightning bolt towards the foreign creature.

The dark purple lightning bolt streaked through the air in a straight line before piercing through the creature’s huge body.

The next second, the foreign creature’s chest exploded, spraying green blood all over the ground.

The scene appeared to be real. Without thinking further, I shot a few more bolts.

In the blink of an eye, the lightning bolts struck the foreign creature in quick succession.

Half of its body was blasted away. The foreign creature died on the ground. The next second, the corpse became a greyish-white energy.

Before I could think further, the greyish-white energy shot towards me. In a flash, the energy entered my body.

A look of understanding dawned on me. If I could kill the remaining foreign creatures, then the Inheritance would reach 100%.
