Chapter 868: Part 1: Fight against Dale Mount Chapter 868: Part 1: Fight against Dale Mount From MC’s Perspective: “Lightning Drop” In an instant, a powerful lightning ball condensed in my palm.

I then fired at the Humanoid Puppet’s feet.

The lightning ball hits the floor before the lightning bolt strikes the humanoid puppet.

This all happened within seconds.

A series of explosions occur on the Humanoid Puppet.

The attack resulted in destruction and severed parts.  A hint of satisfaction appears in my eyes.

The time has already passed midnight.

But I was able to achieve my goal.

Today marks the fifth stage of the duel.

Today, the top 20 will be chosen from the combined eight groups.

This small competition was even more challenging than the internal competition.

I shook my head, removing the distracting thoughts.

After a few minutes of walking, I arrived at the arena building.

As usual, I made my way to the warriors’ gathering room.

When I arrived, I saw that the top five warriors from each group had gathered in the room.

When they saw me, they began to murmur.   “He has gotten this far.” “I wonder if he would make the top 20.” “Youngster’s run will end today.” “He seems weak.” “I hope somebody defeats him today.” The warriors communicated with each other.

Dale Mount smiled upon hearing the conversation.

Not all seniors are optimistic about Zack Lockwood.

His eyes light up with anticipation for today’s matchup.  Shortly after, The referee enters the duel stage.

The crowd as usual began cheering out loud.

“Hello everyone.” “We reached an important stage of the competition.” “40 Warriors have gotten so far from 320.” “Today, we will select the top twenty Warriors.

As usual, the matchup will be random.

“I wish the warriors the best of luck.”   Hearing his words the audience  let out a cheer once again.

The referee checks the time and says, “Without wasting time.

We begin the first duel.” The audience, warriors, and staff turned their attention to the big screen.  [Dale Mount vs Zack Lockwood].

Gasp!

Exclamations were heard everywhere.

The first match turned out to be the most anticipated.  On the other hand, my eyes sparkled.

I know that the Mount and Brown Hill families were allies.

Do not tell me the match is rigged as well.

My eyes flash with a cold glint.

“Ha…Ha..Ha…” Dale Mount was stunned before laughing briefly.

He then realized that everyone was looking at him.

He nodded at them before leaving the room.

He did not forget to glance at Zack Lockwood.

In contrast, my heart is filled with rage.

I witnessed Dale Mount’s reaction.

He was not surprised at all.

I decided to conclude the duel as soon as possible.  It is not advisable to extend the duel against him.  Under everyone’s hostile gazes, I exited the room.

Then I walked up to the duel platform.

Dale Mount was already standing on one end.

It appears that he came prepared.  Then I entered the platform and stood at the opposite end.  The barrier then starts to cover the platform.

I noticed Dale Mount watching me.

Unlike the others, he appeared to be a madman.

I can tell he is more excited about this fight.

This creepy feeling caused my hair to stand out.  “He is more dangerous than others,” I told myself.

When the barrier covered the platform.

The duel gave the signal to fight.

Swoosh!

Dale was dashing towards me.

Seeing this, I brought the Black Sword forward.

I witnessed his previous duel.

He is a warrior who uses the Metal element.   I activated the perception.

The whole duel platform appears in mind.  Dale’s skin started to turn silver.

It is his body technique.   When he got closer.

I mentally tracked all of his movements.

His right hand fingers have turned into sharp metals.    Seeing that, I knew what he was up to.   He raised his right hand to attack.

I struck his hand with a sword.

When both attacks make contact with one another.

Clang!

A metallic noise sounded.   But the brute force of his hand pushed me backward.  After taking a few steps back, I looked at him.

He continued to plunge towards me, as if possessed.  “Lightning Wheel” In an instant, a purple lightning wheel appeared all around me.

The wheel was dark purple and filled with destructive energy.

Dale Mount witnessed the attack but did not care.

He kept moving towards me.

My earlier assumption proved correct after observing his behavior.

He simply wanted to defeat me at any cost.  Bang!

His body collides with the lightning wheel.

The purple wheel then explodes, unleashing a barrage of powerful lightning bolts on him.

The impact force pushed me backwards again.

But my gaze never left him.

I heard a muffled grunt.

He bore the direct brunt of the attack.

I do not think he escaped unscathed.  When the smoke was gone.

His appearance becomes clear.

Dale Mount remained standing on the platform.

His entire body was dripping with blood.

He looks like a black charcoal.

However, his gaze remains fixed on me.   “I was wrong.

“The duel is not going to end anytime soon,” I said in my heart.

Gasp!
