Chapter 887: Part 2: Fighting against Luna Chapter 887: Part 2: Fighting against Luna From MC’s Perspective: Clang!

A metallic sound reverberates through out the area.

After blocking her attack, I stepped back to perform the lightning sword technique.

We have been doing this for several minutes.

But none of us ready to use the elemental attack.

I looked at her and started to pour purple essence into the sword.

On the other hand, Luna’s eyes narrowed.

She saw that Zack is ready to use lightning attack.

She steps backwards as well.

Then she gripped the katana handle tightly by using both hands and ready to perform the counter technique.

“Sword Divide” A purple sword beam burst forth from the sword.

The purple lightning beam cut across in a straight line toward Luna.

In the blink of an eye, the attack reached its destination.

Luna swung her sword, releasing a similar technique.

A silver beam shot towards the purple one.

Both beams momentarily blinded everyone.

Boom!

When the two beams collided, a terrific noise erupted.

Their energies canceled each other out, creating a huge impact force.

Shockwaves spread outward before striking the barrier with a loud crash.

The barrier withstood the impact.

All of this happened within seconds.

Looking at her execute a similar technique, I decided to try the lightning defensive technique.

I wondered how she would defend at close quarters.

My eyes gleamed with anticipation.

“Lightning Phantom Technique!” After executing the movement technique, both my legs were instantly covered in purple arcs.

I disappeared from the spot and dashed towards Luna.

Luna remained unflustered.

Her focus intensified as she pointed her katana blade at him.

An intelligent glint flashed in her eyes.

Follow new episodes on the "N0vel1st.c0m".

She had seen Zack’s duels before and likely guessed his next move.

A sly smile crept across her lips.

I reached her instantly.

To my surprise, her facial expression remained normal.

I couldn’t detect any signs of fluster.

“Lightning Defense Technique!” A purple wheel materialized around me in an instant.

Simultaneously, Luna executed her technique.

My eyes flickered in response.

A silver metallic shield appeared in her right hand as she wielded the katana in her left.

As both techniques were executed simultaneously, neither of us held an advantage.

When the collision occurred, both defensive attacks proved formidable.

Bang!

The purple lightning wheel collided with the silver metallic shield, exploding and sending lightning bolts flying in all directions.

But Luna was unharmed.

Her metallic shield had blocked the attack.

With perfect timing, she threw the shield at the purple wheel and hurled herself backward to avoid the impact.

The impact force sent me reeling backward a few steps.

My eyes widened in surprise as I saw her completely unscathed.

She was incredibly clever; she had thrown herself backwards at the last moment.

That meant she had predicted my attack.

This is what happens when your opponent knows your moves intimately.

Regret flashed through my eyes.

I couldn’t catch her off guard with my usual tactics; she would anticipate them easily.

Meanwhile, Luna held her katana in her right hand, a playful smile gracing her lips.

Outside: Their actions were displayed on the large screen.

The crowd erupted in cheers as they witnessed the intense rivalry between the two.

Duel Platform, Swoosh!

The next second, I saw her charging towards me.

Unlike her, I knew little about her attacks since she hadn’t used her katana blade much in this competition.

Her movements were clear in my mind.

I gripped my sword tightly.

I wasn’t afraid of close combat; the lightning wheel was difficult to break.

Luna took a few steps before appearing in front of Zack.

She raised her katana above her head and swung it vertically.

A silver glint flashed on her katana blade.

“Lightning Wheel!” I executed the technique again.

But as the lightning materialized, a silver light flashed before it.

The light sliced through the wheel like butter.

Crack!

A crack appeared in the wheel.

The next moment, it exploded.

This sudden change caught me off guard.

I took the full brunt of the attack.

The impact force sent me flying backward before I crashed onto the floor.

Gasp!

Gasps erupted from the crowd.

They had seen the purple wheel attack multiple times, and so far, no warrior in this competition had destroyed it without sustaining injuries.

Yet, there stood Luna, calm and collected.

No signs of lightning bolts striking her body were evident.

Twice, she had cleverly used her wits to avoid the lightning’s wrath.

Seeing Zack Lockwood down, Luna didn’t waste the opportunity.

She swung her katana again.

Swoosh!

A silver metallic arc shot towards Zack.

My body throbbed with pain, but I maintained focus on her actions.

When I saw her unleash the attack, I activated the Lightning Phantom technique to evade her strike.

Thanks to my strong physique, I managed to regain my footing immediately after the impact.

“Lightning Finger Technique!” I raised my hand and executed another technique.

A powerful purple lightning beam shot towards her.

I’d skipped the first stage to maximize its strength.

I wanted to see how many times she could evade it.

Compared to sword moves, I could release multiple finger beams.

Luna saw another lightning attack approaching.

She calmly decided to employ the same tactics.

The lightning beam raced forward in a straight line.

When it reached her, a metallic shield appeared in her hand once more.

She didn’t want to hold the metallic shield for long, knowing that lightning power could easily penetrate it.

With decisiveness, she threw the shield at the purple beam and leaped backward.

The purple beam struck the metallic shield, causing another explosion.

Boom!

A deafening sound echoed throughout the area.

I saw her escape using the same tactics once more.

Ignoring her evasion, I continued firing finger beams at her.

One after another, the lightning bolts shot forward.

Seeing multiple lightning attacks simultaneously, Luna’s emotions were visible for the first time.

She appeared surprised and flustered.

This time, without taking damage, blocking all incoming attacks would be challenging.

Meanwhile, inside the special box, everyone wore surprised expressions.

They hadn’t seen Zack Lockwood struggling before.

All his lightning attacks had been effortlessly countered by Luna.

“Lord Lowell, I think your student has hit a roadblock this time,” the arena manager stated.

He could see that Luna was well-prepared.

Inside the Special Box: “He will figure it out soon,” Lowell replied.

The arena manager seemed to think Lowell was simply bluffing.

Unbeknownst to him, Lowell had already identified Luna’s weakness.

She avoided prolonged contact with the shield due to the risk of lightning penetration.

Any miscalculation could electrocute her.

Lowell hoped Zack would discover this flaw soon.

Duel Platform: Luna used her metallic shield to block the first attack.

As she stepped backward, another finger beam appeared before her.

In a split second, she moved to avoid being hit.

However, another purple beam reached her.

This time, she didn’t have time to sidestep.

Immediately, she activated her defensive technique, and a metallic shield appeared in her hand.

Just as the purple beam made contact with the shield, a collision occurred.

Not only was the shield deflected, but the lightning power also pierced through it, striking Luna’s body.

Luna didn’t have time to throw away the shield.

She felt a sharp electric shock.

Her body was flung backward, crashing to the ground.

Gasps erupted from the crowd.

For the first time, Luna was pushed into a defensive position.

The lightning bolts inflicted agonizing pain on her body.

On the other hand, my eyes gleamed with excitement.

I had found the clue.

The lightning energy was penetrating the metallic shield.

That’s why she had been discarding the shield at the last moment.

Confident in my discovery, I continued to bombard her with lightning beam attacks.

One after another, the lightning finger beams struck her.

As time passed, Luna sustained increasing injuries from the relentless lightning power.

Inside the special box: The arena manager gasped in surprise.

He glanced at Lord Lowell before returning his gaze to the duel platform.

The other staff members were equally shocked.

Everyone had been convinced that Luna would easily claim victory.

Just moments ago, Zack Lockwood had been struggling.

Now, the situation had reversed, with Zack gaining the upper hand.

The outcome of the duel was uncertain.

Duel Platform: Pfff!

Luna coughed up a mouthful of blood.

Her skin was scorched black, revealing open flesh wounds.

She was bleeding profusely.

If this continued, her foundation would be irreparably damaged.

A hint of frustration flashed in her eyes.

Her opponent had discovered her weakness, making it increasingly difficult to turn the tide.

The next moment, she dashed towards Zack, aiming to engage in close combat.

This would allow her to escape the rapid-fire finger beams.

She planned to rely on her katana technique once more.

In the blink of an eye, she appeared before Zack.

I initially attempted to retreat but ultimately decided to engage in close combat as well.

I wanted to see how she would destroy the lightning wheel this time, as I hadn’t observed it clearly last time.
