Chapter 110: Chapter 110: Professor Lu
The migrant caught the box, grinning greedily as he opened it, the others glaring at him.
The man who was beaten to the point of death looked at Su Jiyai with hatred, confusion, and question in his eyes.
“Oh…if you want to know what you did that made me think you are unbearable to look at, then it’s the fact that you have a very dirty gaze. You once tried to r*pe some close to me.” Su Jiyai answered.
The person whom she hated the most, finally got his karma and may lose the ability to walk.
Maybe his life would be completely destroyed.
If she was still the 10-year-old Su Jiyai, she would have cried instead of taking revenge. Maybe if she was 19-year-old Su Jiyai, she might have ignored him, thinking they should go their separate way.
But such kind of things can’t be forgotten.
If she didn’t get her revenge, she would have remembered that incident for a long time and had never let go.
Her heart would be filled with bitterness.
Bitterness as to why she never took revenge for the injustice that had happened to her.
Others may call her vengeful for doing such a vile act. But they weren’t the ones who had to live with the scars.
They didn’t have to wake up every night, reliving the moment they lost control over their own life.
They didn’t have the urge to rub their body to the point their skin turned red and yet they felt dirty…
That man was broken now—just as she had once been. But unlike her, he would not rise again.
Su Jiyai’s heart felt peaceful and she returned to her underground room.
By evening the group of migrants left and Su Jiyai saw the man who r*ped her, died.
“Dispose of his body system.” Su Jiyai said calmly.
[Okay host.]
Su Jiyai entered the VR room and noticed that her reaction speed of the body had increased.
Even her strength had increased significantly.
The level 1 expert whom she wasn’t able to defeat earlier was now defeated!
With a huge smile on her face, Su Jiyai proceeded with her side quest.
At 9 pm, she read some of the books on virology.
However, even with Su Jiyai’s intelligence, there were certain terms and concepts she wasn’t able to understand.
“If only I had a course or teacher who could teach me the basics again.”
Since her childhood, Su Jiyai hated fighting the most and the things that interested her the most were biology and virology.
However, her conditions forced her to fight.
The rich kids of the wealthy families on the other hand loved to fight but they were forced to study.
How sometimes wished she was one of the children of a wealthy family.

But she could only hide behind the window of some wealthy family and hear the lessons.
Suddenly a kind face flashed in her mind.
Professor Lu.
“I should try to find him.” Su Jiyai muttered.
He was a man. Before the apocalypse, he was the high rink researcher who dabbled in virology.
But after the death of his pupil, he took a retirement.
Because of this reason, many called him selfish. It was said that if Professor Lu wanted, he could make the antidote for the zombie virus, however, the old man refused to do any research.
Eventually, he became a villain in the eyes of the public while the wealthy families used him for their own benefits.
In exchange for food and shelter, they asked Professor Lu to teach their children about virology in the hopes that their children would find the antidote and eventually rise in rank and become influential.
At first Professor Lu didn’t agree but in the fifth year of the apocalypse when his wife’s health started to deteriorate, Professor Lu accepted the offer.
In those days, Su Jiyai had been nothing more than a street kid, sneaking around the lavish homes of the wealthy in search of scraps.
One fateful day, she had overheard Professor Lu’s lecture, peeking in from behind a window, her face pressed against the cold glass as she listened intently to every word.
And somehow, Professor Lu had noticed her.
He had seen her shadow behind the window but never exposed her presence.
His gentle demeanor, and his ability to sense the curiosity and hunger for knowledge in Su Jiyai, had made him turn a blind eye to her trespassing.
Day after day, she returned to the window, absorbing the knowledge like a sponge, her heart racing with every word he spoke about virology.
But one day, a boy from a wealthy family, likely jealous or annoyed by Su Jiyai’s presence, discovered her.
He reported her to his parents, who were furious that a “dirty street child” had been sneaking into their compound.
They demanded her immediate punishment and banishment from the area.
Professor Lu had stepped in, his voice calm yet firm, promising that Su Jiyai would never again sneak into the compound.
“She is just a child. And it’s not wrong for her to yearn and learn. Let her go once for my sake.”
His influence had been enough to quell the outrage, and instead of turning her away, he began giving private lessons to her and a few other children who were in similar situations.
Su Jiyai had been one of the most dedicated, and Professor Lu had seen her talent early on.
Her quick understanding of complex concepts and her unyielding thirst for knowledge impressed him.
He often paid special attention to her, encouraging her, offering her books, and guiding her through problems that other students struggled with.
Those days had been the brightest in her otherwise harsh life.
The knowledge he imparted became her escape, her salvation.
For a time, she believed she could become someone—someone who could change the world, find a cure, and perhaps even save lives.
She would work hard during the day and take lessons during the evening. Life was good…
But the good times didn’t last.
In the seventh year of the apocalypse, tragedy struck again.
