Chapter 115: Chapter 115: The End?
The girl’s body convulsed as the current surged through her veins.
Her muscles spasmed uncontrollably, and her mouth opened in a silent scream.
For a moment, hope flashed in Liang’s eyes. A surge of energy erupted from the girl’s body, briefly illuminating the room.
The researchers stepped back in awe, but the light quickly faded, leaving only the faint sound of the girl’s labored breathing.
The assistant checked the monitors, shaking his head.
“No change, Doctor. Her body is failing.”
Liang stared at the girl, her jaw clenched in frustration. The experiment had failed. All the resources, all the time spent—and still no result.
“Terminate the procedure,” Liang said coldly. “She’s of no use to us.”
The assistants exchanged uneasy glances but obeyed the order.
The electrodes were carefully removed, and the straps unbuckled.
The girl’s limp body was dragged off the bed and laid on a stretcher.
“Dispose of her outside the base,” Liang commanded, her voice void of emotion. “She’s dead weight now.”
As the assistants wheeled the girl out of the lab, Liang stared after them, a flicker of doubt crossing her mind.
Had they missed something? Had she pushed too far?
But those thoughts were quickly replaced by the harsh reality of their world.
There was no room for weakness. Only those who survived the trials deserved a place in Aurora Base.
The girl in the wheelchair weakly muttered,
As the assistants pushed the stretcher down the narrow, dimly lit hallway, the girl’s lips trembled, barely forming words.
“Plea…se…” she whispered, her voice so faint it was almost swallowed by the sterile hum of the base.
One of the assistants paused, his hand tightening on the metal frame of the stretcher. He glanced down at her, his face momentarily softened with hesitation.
“She’s still conscious,” he muttered under his breath.
The other assistant, older and more hardened by years of watching failed experiments, shook his head. “Doesn’t matter. Orders are orders. She didn’t awaken. She’s done for.”
The younger assistant swallowed, guilt gnawing at him as he watched the girl’s feeble attempt to speak.
Her eyes flickered, barely open, and her chest rose and fell in uneven, shallow breaths.
But they kept moving.
Outside, the cold night air greeted them with a biting wind.
The stretch of desolate land outside the Aurora Base loomed before them, a wasteland littered with the remnants of failed trials—bodies left to rot, forgotten by the world.
“Here,” the older assistant grunted, stopping the stretcher near the gates. “Dump her.”
The younger assistant froze, his heart pounding in his chest. This girl wasn’t like the others.

She had survived the procedure longer than anyone they’d ever seen. She had shown strength.
But orders were orders.
He bent down, gently lifting the girl’s frail body from the stretcher, but as his hands cradled her, something stirred within him.
“I can’t,” he whispered, his voice barely audible.
The older assistant glared at him. “What?”
“I said I can’t do it,” he repeated, louder this time.
“She’s still alive. We can’t just leave her out here.”
The older man’s eyes narrowed in annoyance.
“You’ll get yourself killed if you defy the base. Do you really want that?”
The younger assistant clenched his jaw, looking down at the girl’s barely breathing form. Her weak, whispered plea echoed in his mind.
“Plea…se…I…wo..n’t…survive….pl…please….don’…t….leave…me” A tear slipped from the girl’s eyes.
She was only 15 years old. Most of her life was spent in the institute, she hardly had any skills.
“Please…” she whispered again, her voice so weak it almost disappeared in the cold night air.
The older assistant’s face hardened, his patience wearing thin. “You’re going to get us both killed if you don’t dump her. Now.”
The younger assistant’s hands tightened around the girl’s limp form, guilt and fear clashing inside him.
He knew the base wouldn’t tolerate defiance, and sparing the girl could cost him everything.
But leaving her to die out here felt even worse—like a betrayal of whatever scrap of humanity he still had left.
“I don’t want any part of this,” he muttered finally, his voice thick with regret.
Slowly, almost reverently, he placed the girl on the cold, hard ground.
Her body hit with a soft thud, barely making a sound in the desolate wasteland beyond the base gates.
The older assistant shot him a cold glance.
“That’s more like it. Let’s go before someone sees us.” Without waiting for a reply, he turned and began walking back to the base.
The younger assistant lingered for a moment longer, his eyes locked on the girl’s fragile figure as she lay motionless on the dirt.
Her eyes were half-closed, her breathing shallow, her tiny frame swallowed by the night.
She wouldn’t survive much longer out here, he knew that. She didn’t have the strength.
But in the world of Aurora Base, strength was everything.
He turned to leave, forcing himself to look away.
The gates to the base slammed shut behind him, the sound echoing in the darkness, sealing her fate.
Alone, in the bitter cold, the girl struggled to keep her eyes open.
Her body was failing—every muscle aching, every breath a struggle.
She wanted to cry out, but no one would hear her.
The biting wind whipped across her skin, stinging her as her body grew weaker with each passing second.
Was this how it would end?
…….
At 5:50 pm in the evening.
Su Jiyai waited for the General aka the Captain.
She had already thought of what she was going to offer.
Right after 5 minutes, a military jeep arrived outside Su Jiyai’s base.
After Su Jiyai’s confirmation, the military jeep was first scanned by a blue projection light and only then let in.
Liu Feng’s eyes were narrowed during the entire time.
Others may not know, but the military knew about the land on which Su Jiyai’s base was built.
The land was desired by many military officials. The land protected by mysterious electric walls suddenly appeared all over the world.
