Chapter 116: Chapter 116: Visit of Military Officers
Not only in China, but such land had suddenly appeared in many countries out of nowhere 21 years ago.
The land ownership was owned by a mysterious person, who for some reason could buy land all over the world.
When the apocalypse arrived many of the military officials thought the land was some kind of gift to humankind to protect themselves and tried to invade it, but to their dismay, even a nuclear bomb couldn’t blow away the electric walls.
It was true for every other nation.
This made the leaders of the nation wonder whether the zombie virus originated from the vast empty land protected by an electric wall.
There was also a conspiracy theory that the people who were the real culprit behind the zombie virus were hidden within these mysterious electric walls, biding their time and watching the world tear itself apart.
Some believed that those inside the walls held the key to either saving or destroying humanity.
But no one had ever successfully infiltrated these territories.
The technology protecting them was far too advanced, beyond anything the military or the scientists had ever seen.
However, the theory was soon proven wrong, and after that…the military officials suddenly seemed to have forgotten about these lands.
Until…now…
The land which couldn’t be surpassed due to the security has suddenly transformed into a base.
A base that offers supplies at a low cost and even has the potential to surpass all the other bases due to the amenities they are providing.
“Captain?” Zhang Ping patted on Captain Liu’s back when he saw his captain staring at a building in a daze.
“Uh? Yes?”
“Shall we go inside?” Wang Yi asked with excitement in his eyes.
From his side, he was able to see the supermarket described by Zhang Ping and honestly, he was surprised and very much looking forward to entering the supermarket.
If he had wings he would have flown straight to the luxurious-looking supermarket.
To ensure he had enough money, he had specifically brought all of his savings. A whooping 200,000 federal coins! Tonight he won’t leave without shopping!
Liu Feng nodded and walked out of the car.
Looking at the tall and elegant-looking building all of the four people in the jeep were filled with shock.
Does such a new building still exist in the apocalypse?
And what’s with the artificial grass?
“Captain!” Wang Yi suddenly shouted. His shout scared all the other three members who were still immersed in the beauty of the base.
“What?” Liu Feng frowned.
“Captain look! There is a vending machine! The one I had seen in my childhood! There are also carbonated drinks there!” Wang Yi’s eyes brightened the more he said.
In reality, Wang Yi was a foodie and shopaholic, to him apocalypse was a divine punishment to humans and Su Jiyai’s base was like heaven.
His soul had long ago left his body and had flown to the vending machine and supermarket.
“Behave.” Liu Feng said with a frown.

“Uh? Oh…right.” Wang Yi could only suppress his excitement but in his heart, he was filled with vigor. Once he meets Boss Su, he(Wang Yi) will impress him(Boss Su)!
As long as Boss Su is impressed, he can shop and eat as much as he wants.
The four people walked in, only to be greeted by a small cute boy,
“Hello, I am Yuan Xin the receptionist of the base. Boss Su told me about your arrival, please follow me.”
Liu Feng, Wang Yi, Sun Hao, and Zhang Ping were a bit flattered.
Though Boss Su’s base has not yet become famous, with its amenities and food, it will only take half a year for it to transform and become the top base.
Yet they were being treated so well…truly Boss Su was a kind person.
Soon Yuan Xin led the four of them to the newly built conference room.
Along the way, the four people were so surprised by the living conditions that they could hardly believe that such a place existed in the apocalypse.
The four men stepped into the conference room, their footsteps echoing softly against the polished marble floor.
They were momentarily speechless, their gazes sweeping across the opulent space that seemed more fitting for a pre-apocalypse business headquarters than a meeting room in a survival base.
The conference room was grand, yet understated.
The walls were paneled with rich, dark wood, the kind that radiated warmth.
In the center, a large oval table of polished mahogany sat beneath an intricate chandelier, its crystal pendants reflecting the light in delicate patterns.
The chairs surrounding the table were cushioned, with high backs that invited comfort.
One entire wall was made of glass, overlooking the artificial greenery outside—a view that seemed impossible in the world ravaged by the apocalypse
“This place…” Wang Yi whispered, his eyes wide with astonishment. “It’s like a palace.”
Before they could dwell on their thoughts, the soft click of the door shutting behind them brought their attention back to the present.
Yuan Xin, the small boy who had greeted them, gestured for them to take their seats.
“Please, gentlemen, take a seat. Boss Su will address you shortly,” Yuan Xin said politely.
Liu Feng and his team exchanged glances.
They had come here for a negotiation, yet they hadn’t even met the person they were supposed to speak with. Was this all some elaborate ruse?
Still, they complied. Each man took a seat around the large table, their postures stiff with tension as they waited.
The silence stretched, only broken by the faint hum of the fan.
Liu Feng’s eyes narrowed. His initial excitement had dulled into suspicion.
The base’s mysterious owner, Boss Su, rarely made any appearance but he had expected at least a face-to-face meeting.
Was this a show of power, keeping them waiting like this in an extravagant setting? Or was it something else?
Just as the tension became almost unbearable, a voice filled the room.
