Chapter 151: Chapter 151: The Pot And The Mirror
The guard glanced at the coin and nodded to his partner. “She’s clear.”
With that, they opened the door, Su Jiyai drove slowly through the narrow entrance, descending into a hidden lot beneath the building.
The underground market sprawled before her—crowded and dimly lit, but buzzing with energy.
Parking her RV in an empty spot, Su Jiyai stepped out, maintaining her guise as a middle-aged man.
She tugged her cloak tighter and adjusted her veil, ensuring her identity remained concealed. She had no intention of drawing attention to herself.
“System, locate a reliable vendor for the gold exchange,” Su Jiyai whispered under her breath.
[Host, there is a trusted vendor at stall 47, a known dealer in precious metals. Transactions are discreet and trustworthy.]
With the system’s guidance, Su Jiyai navigated the winding paths of the market, her sharp eyes catching glimpses of illicit trades and whispered conversations.
Despite the chaotic atmosphere, she moved with calm precision, knowing exactly where she needed to go.
Stall 47 was unremarkable at first glance—a simple setup with a table displaying various small bars of metal and jewelry.
The man behind the counter was old, with gray hair and sharp eyes that seemed to pierce through her disguise.
“Looking to buy or sell?” he asked without preamble, his voice raspy and low.
“Sell,” Su Jiyai replied, pulling out a small pouch and revealing more than 400 gleaming gold coins inside.
She had asked the system to process the gold into coins. It becomes much easier to sell.
Most people would think she had obtained those gold coins from some tomb.
The vendor’s eyes lit up at the sight of the gold, but he remained cautious.
“And where might this gold have come from?” he asked, eyeing her closely.
“Not your concern,” Su Jiyai said smoothly, her tone cold but firm.
“You deal in off-the-record goods, don’t you?”
The man chuckled softly. “Fair enough.” He examined the coins briefly, then nodded.
“I’ll give you a fair price. How much are you looking to sell?”
“All of it,” Su Jiyai replied, her gaze steady. She knew the value of what she had, but she also knew not to haggle too aggressively in places like this.
Trust was a rare commodity, and she needed to maintain a good relationship with the vendor.
The vendor’s eyes flickered with greed, but he maintained his calm demeanor as he looked at the pile of gold coins
Su Jiyai had revealed. He leaned back in his chair, tapping his chin thoughtfully.
“For 1000 grams of gold… I can offer you 200,000 yuan,” the vendor said, his tone casual, but his eyes sharp, testing to see how Su Jiyai would react.
Su Jiyai raised an eyebrow beneath her veil. She knew full well that the gold was worth more than that.
“Do I look like I just wandered in from a tomb?”
The vendor smirked, leaning forward as if ready for the back-and-forth.

“Hey, it’s not every day someone brings in this much gold without a receipt. I’m taking a risk here, you know.”
Su Jiyai crossed her arms, playing her role as the disgruntled seller.
“Right, and I’m supposed to believe that risk is worth cutting the value in half? I will state the final price 1 million yuan.
The vendor’s smirk faltered for a second before he leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table.
“1 million yuan? You must think I’m desperate to get rid of my money,” he said with a chuckle.
“400,000 is the most I can stretch. You’re lucky I’m even going that high.”
Su Jiyai shook her head, her voice low and cold.
“You misunderstand. 1 million isn’t just what I want; it’s what this gold is worth. I’m not here to waste time with underbidders.”
The vendor’s eyes narrowed, clearly aware that Su Jiyai wasn’t just an ordinary seller. He knew she had calculated her moves before even stepping into his stall.
“Alright, you’re a tough one. How about 600,000? That’s a solid offer.”
Su Jiyai gave a half-smile, her patience thinning.
“I don’t negotiate for scraps. 900,000 yuan and I’ll walk out of here satisfied. Otherwise, I’ll find another vendor who values discretion as much as you do.”
The vendor clicked his tongue, clearly torn. After a tense pause, he sighed dramatically and threw his hands up.
“Fine. 850,000 yuan and I’m losing money here, I swear. Take it or leave it.”
Su Jiyai stood silent for a moment, pretending to weigh the offer. In reality, she knew she had gotten as much as she was going to get from him.
With a nod, she agreed. “850,000. Deal.”
The vendor exhaled, relieved that the bargaining had ended.
He waved his assistant over, who quickly handed Su Jiyai several tightly packed bundles of cash.
She tucked them into her bag, carefully counting to ensure everything was in order.
“Pleasure doing business with you,” the vendor said with a forced smile.
Su Jiyai simply nodded and turned to leave. But before stepping away from the stall, she paused and asked,
“By the way, I hear this market carries some interesting tech. Know anywhere I can get my hands on something to help with extreme heat?”
The vendor scratched his chin, his eyes flickering with curiosity.
“Stall 22. They’ve got some specialized cooling suits. Bit on the expensive side, but I hear they work wonders. But why are you asking about that? Do you have some insider news?
Is apocalypse or something going to arrive?”
The last statement of the vendor sounded more like a joke than reality.
Su Jiyai raised an eyebrow and asked the system,
“System by any chance can this dimension face apocalypse?”
[Yes, host. In fact, after one year, they will have to go through nuclear war, followed by a volcano eruption, and then…zz…anyways they would face apocalypse too.]
Su Jiyai was surprised and made a blind guess,
“Wait…don’t tell me… the mirror and pot you were talking about which had the real property to multiply is in this world?”
