Chapter 160: Chapter 160: Medicine
“Miss Su, I know the machinery is old, but two million is too low. I’ve already cut the price in half. Five million is a fair deal.”
Su Jiyai’s gaze remained steady, her expression unyielding.
“Two million,” she repeated calmly.
“And I’m offering to take the cotton and seeds off your hands as well, which will help clear out your inventory.
You save on storage, labor, and the overhead of keeping this place operational for much longer.”
Mr. Han’s lips pressed into a thin line. He knew she had a point.
The cost of running the factory was slowly drowning him, and he was desperate to sell, but dropping the price any further felt like he was practically giving everything away.
Still, he could tell Su Jiyai wasn’t someone to haggle endlessly.
He sighed, rubbing his temples.
“You drive a hard bargain, Miss Su.”
Su Jiyai remained silent, waiting for his decision.
Finally, after a long pause, Mr. Han leaned forward, his shoulders slumping in defeat. “Fine,” he muttered.
“Two million it is. But you take everything today. I don’t want this dragging out. The machinery, the cotton, the seeds—they’re all yours, but I want it gone by the end of the day.”
A small smile tugged at the corner of Su Jiyai’s lips.
“Deal,” she said, extending her hand.
Mr. Han shook it, though his grip was weak, weighed down by the loss he felt.
“I’ll get the paperwork ready,” he mumbled, motioning for the manager to help him with the documents.
When everything was signed, sealed, and paid for, Su Jiyai stood up.
“Please ask your worker to evacuate the place. It would be better if everyone could leave.”
“Sure.” Mr. Han nodded. He would take it as if he was given a holiday.
After they left, Su Jiyai stored the machines, with joy in her heart. If she had bought a brand new machine, she would have to pay more than 10 million.
But if she buys a secondhand machine and asks the system to repair it, which would only cost 500 points, she would save tens of thousands of yuans.
The machine will become brand new in the end!
Once the issue of clothing was solved, Su Jiyai asked the system to locate a medicinal center.
Her next step was to buy all the medicines required for the extreme heat.
[Locating medicinal center… Location found. A small medicinal shop located in the eastern part of Rivercliff town, 8 kilometers from your current position. The shop is facing financial difficulties, and the owner is likely to sell at a discount.]
Su Jiyai’s smile widened slightly. Another opportunity. The day was shaping up to be far more productive than she had anticipated.
First, she had acquired the cotton factory’s machinery at a fraction of the cost, and now she had a lead on medicine.
“System is my luck stat still exceeding 90?”

[Yes host.]
Now that would explain why she was able to encounter a bankrupt cotton factory as well as a bankrupt medicinal center.
“Good,” she said aloud. “Let’s go.”
The drive to the medicinal shop was quick, the dusty streets of Rivercliff passing in a blur as her vehicle sped along the winding roads.
Soon, the small shop came into view—a modest structure, its wooden exterior weathered by time and neglect.
Su Jiyai parked the vehicle and stepped out, taking in her surroundings.
The shop was unassuming, its faded sign barely legible, but she knew that sometimes the most valuable things came from the most unexpected places.
As she pushed open the creaky door, a bell chimed softly, announcing her arrival.
Inside, the shelves were lined with dusty jars and packets, each containing herbs, ointments, and medicinal supplies.
An old man stood behind the counter, his weary eyes widening slightly when he saw her enter.
“Can I help you?” he asked, his voice raspy with age.
“Um…I want all the medicines related to extreme heat. Price is not an issue.”
The old man stared at Su Jiyai before nodding and started to take out all the medicines that could be used for extreme heat.
Su Jiyai had prepared a list of the medicines she wanted and started to checklist them. Luckily for her, 90% of the medicines were available in the old man’s shop.
The total bill was 1 million yuan, which Su Jiyai paid. She also bought some extra herbs and stored them in the space.
Out of 5 million, 3 million were consumed, however, a lot of things were still not bought yet.
Cars, food, more hybrid seeds, technologies, some medicine, etc.
Su Jiyai was worried.
7 hours had passed. This means 7 days have already passed in her world.
She was torn between returning to her world or multiplying the money and continuing shopping.
There was also the task of finding the chosen one.
Uh…
Su Jiyai exited the shop and walked toward the RV. Before she could enter the RV, she saw a young man from stall no. 22.
He was surrounded by some thug-like people.
The leader of the group, a burly man with a sneer plastered on his face, shoved the young man roughly.
“You’ve been short on payments again, Hua. You know what happens when people don’t pay.”
The young man, Hua, stumbled but caught himself, fear evident in his eyes.
“Please, I just need a few more days. Business has been slow, and—”
“No excuses!” The thug’s voice boomed, cutting off Lin’s plea.
He raised his fist, clearly ready to deliver a beating.
“Hey!” Su Jiyai shouted, as she waved her hand in Hua’s direction.
The thug’s attention was grabbed by Su Jiyai’s voice. When they saw a 6’5 feet tall bulky man, they almost pissed their pant.
Su Jiyai bit back the laughter, and stared at the young man named Hua,
“Hua, your equipment was great. Boss Han loved them and wanted to do long-term business with you. By the way, who are these people? Are they harassing you?”
[Ding! Congratulations host for saving the chosen one’s brother!]
