Chapter 175: Chapter 175: One master
Su Jiyai pressed on, keeping the knife firm against her chest.
Her fangs pressed harder against her lips, the hunger gnawing at her insides, but she didn’t waver.
“If you kill me, or if I kill myself, we all lose. I have nothing left to lose now… but you do.”
“You’re bluffing,” one voice finally hissed, but it sounded unsure.
Su Jiyai’s gaze turned cold as she hissed,
“Try me. I have nothing to gain by living under all of you as your slave. But if I die, you lose everything—the chance to escape this dimension, to conquer new worlds. You lose it all.”
A deep, long silence followed. Su Jiyai’s heart pounded in her chest, but she didn’t let the panic show on her face.
She was betting everything on their greed.
Then, finally, the authoritative voice that had been leading the group spoke again, but this time its tone was cold, calculating.
“You risk your life on this, vampire. Fine. Tell us your condition.”
Su Jiyai exhaled slowly, her grip on the knife relaxing just slightly.
They had taken the bait.
“It’s simple,” she began, her voice steady but firm.
“I will work for one of you. Only one. I can’t serve multiple masters—it’s too dangerous for me, and I wouldn’t be able to control the dimensional rifts properly.
If you want me to open portals for you, then one of you must claim me as their sole asset. The rest of you will stay out of it.”
Her words had the desired effect.
She could feel the shift in the atmosphere as the voices processed her demand, and, more importantly, the implication behind it.
“What?” one of the voices hissed.
“You expect us to compete for you?”
“She’s trying to divide us,” another voice accused.
“She knows she can’t manipulate us if we’re united,” the authoritative voice mused.
“But if she pits us against each other, she thinks she can gain some control.”
Su Jiyai shook her head, maintaining her calm.
“This is about survival—for all of us. If I’m to use my powers effectively, I need focus and control.
Being pulled in different directions by all of you would only lead to disaster. It’s not about manipulation—it’s about practicality.
One of you takes command, and I serve. The others… will have to live with that decision.”
The voices were silent once more, but now she could feel the tension thickening.
They were debating amongst themselves again, but this time the conversation was different. She had planted the seed of division.
“I should be the one to command her,” one voice said, low and dark. “I’m the most experienced. I would use her powers best.”

“No!” another voice snapped.
“Her skills with vampiric powers make her an asset I need. I’ve dealt with creatures like her before.”
“None of you would understand the true potential she holds,” yet another voice chimed in, its tone dripping with arrogance.
“She needs someone who can truly unlock the dimensional doors, not just use her as a mindless weapon.”
Su Jiyai watched as the tension between them grew, the voices now arguing about who deserved to control her.
The rift she had hoped for was forming, just as she planned.
The authoritative voice, sensing the unrest, cut through the chatter.
“Enough!” it barked. The other voices fell silent.
“Very well,” it said, its tone begrudging.
“We will entertain your condition. One of us will take you as their asset. But mark my words—you will not choose. We will decide who takes command of you.”
Su Jiyai nodded slowly, keeping the knife close to her chest.
“That’s all I ask. But know this—once the choice is made, I will not answer to any of the others.
And please decide fast, I have to swear my loyalty to that master.”
Her words ignited the desire to conquer in the hearts of those voices.
One by one they started to argue while Su Jiyai continuously tried to open the portal.
One of the voices might have seen Su Jiyai’s actions because the next second an amused voice said,
“Are you trying to open the portal so that you can escape?”
The voice’s words attracted the attention of other voices and they chuckled.
“You can’t escape you know?”
Su Jiyai’s blood ran cold. She felt as if something was amiss. On a closer look, 4 hours had passed long ago, so why was the portal still can’t be open?
“You can feel it, can’t you?” the voice that had noticed her efforts continued, its tone oozing with amusement.
“You think you’re so clever, little vampire, but you’re still playing in our domain.”
“You think time works the same here as in your world?” another voice sneered, almost relishing in her dawning horror.
“You’ve been trying to open a door that we keep locked. You have no power here unless we allow it.”
Su Jiyai cursed under her breath.
She had miscalculated—she thought she had gained the upper hand by sowing division, but these creatures had been steps ahead, letting her build false hope while they still held all the cards.
“Why don’t we kill her take out the crystal formed in her mind and use it? In that way even if she dies, we can use her superpower.” One of the voices suggested.
“Good idea.” Another voice agreed, its voice laced with amusement.
Can they do that?
Su Jiyai’s heart chilled.
“So let’s finish her off.”
“Yeah.”
With the collective agreement, an axe-shaped twice the size of a leopard was thrown in Su Jiyai’s direction.
‘Am I truly going to die here?’ Su Jiyai thought.
The next second the axe neared in her direction and a ‘clung’ sound came.
All Su Jiyai saw was blackness; the next second, she was pulled into it by force.
Before she completely lost consciousness, Su Jiyai felt as if she heard the voices exclaim,
“How the f*ck is possible? How did…”
“Sh*t! What should we do now?”
