Chapter 178: Chapter 178: Fainting
Her hands began to glow with a soft light as her energy latched onto the box.
The warmth grew stronger until she felt the distinct snap of her power locking onto the destination.
With a burst of light, the air in front of her shimmered, twisting and folding in on itself.
A circular portal suddenly opened up in front of her the system commanded her,
[Now extend your hand in the portal and pull whatever it is on the other side.]
Xi Ping obeyed the system’s command without hesitation. After chatting with the so-called assistant of Boss Su for so long, she understood that the assistant would not put her in any danger.
She felt a cold yet soft skin in her hand and pulled the person with the soft skin to the other side.
With a ‘swish’ sound Xi Ping landed on the ground with Su Jiyai on the top of Xi Ping.
A quick glance at Boss Su was a luxury to her because the next second the voice commanded,
[Close the portal!]
Xi Ping did as told and closed the portal.
Before she could react though, she felt a sting at her nape, followed by the numbness in her entire body.
Her mind was occupied with one thought.
‘Boss Su is lesbian! Boss Su is lesbian!’
Su Jiyai couldn’t feel anything around her. All she cared for was blood. Her purple eyes glowed as she sucked out her savior’s blood.
Slowly rationality made its way back to Su Jiyai’s mind, and her eyes widened in horror. She pulled herself away from Xi Ping and stared at the beautiful woman who just happened to become her food even though she was her savior.
The beautiful woman had brown hair and brown eyes.
Xi Ping only had one thought in her mind. Beautiful.
Su Jiyai’s beautiful black hair was tousled slightly, as her gorgeous purple eyes stared at Xi Ping with horror and concern.
There was some dry dirt on her face, but it didn’t lessen her beauty.
“Hi.” Xi Ping raised her hand but before she could wave, Boss Su vanished.
Even the box she had used to open the portal vanished. All that remained was the food given by the assistant.
“At least they stood on their words…” Xi Ping muttered, however, Su Jiyai’s beautiful face flashed in her mind.
…………….
In Su Jiyai’s base.
Su Jiyai was teleported to her underground room. One second she was staring at Xi Ping and the very next second the scenery changed and she found herself on the familiar cold metallic floor of the room she was living in.
The shock of what had happened didn’t fade for a long time.

What answered him though was Su Jiyai collapsing on the ground.

…………….
In a Unknown Dimension.
“How is this possible?” one of them hissed, its tone dripping with frustration.
“She was right in our grasp!” another snarled. “We had her!”
“Silence!” the authoritative voice barked, silencing the others for a moment.
“This isn’t over. She’s escaped our dimension, but she’s still bound to us. We can still take what we need.”
A low, dark chuckle echoed through the group.
“You mean her superpower core? She may have slipped away, but that’s only temporary. The next time she enters our realm, we’ll make sure she doesn’t leave alive.”
“Yes,” the authoritative voice agreed, the rage replaced by cold calculation.
“We’ll extract the core from her head. She thinks she’s clever, but we’ll rip it from her and scatter her soul into a million pieces.”
“But how do we ensure she returns?” one voice questioned. “She’ll be wary of us now.”
“She has to return eventually,” the authoritative voice answered.
“Her powers are still tethered to this dimension. She will need to access it again.”
“And when she does,” another voice hissed, “we’ll be ready. We’ll make her regret ever thinking she could outwit us.”
There was a collective ripple of agreement among the voices.
“We must prepare,” the authoritative voice concluded.
“When she returns, there will be no mercy. Extract the core, and let her soul suffer the consequences of defying us.”
…………….
Su Jiyai floated in darkness.
The void surrounding her was cold, unyielding, but strangely… peaceful.
There was no pain, no hunger, no voices demanding her obedience. Just the sound of her own quiet breathing, echoing in the blackness.
How long had she been here? Minutes? Hours? Days?
She couldn’t tell. Time didn’t seem to exist in this place.
Then, without warning, a faint light appeared in the distance.
It was tiny, no larger than a pinprick, but it drew her attention like a beacon in the night.
Su Jiyai hesitated for a moment before her feet began to move on their own as if compelled by some unseen force.
Step by step, she made her way toward the light, her body moving sluggishly through the thick darkness.
She wasn’t thinking—she couldn’t think.
The fog in her mind kept her from forming coherent thoughts, but something about that light called to her, drawing her deeper into the void.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, she reached the source of the light.
It flickered like a candle, casting long shadows over the unseen path ahead.
And just as she reached out to touch it, her vision exploded with color, and she was no longer in the void.
Su Jiyai blinked as her eyes opened.
She was lying on the cold, metallic floor of her underground room
The harsh contrast between the dreamlike darkness and the sterile room disoriented her for a moment.
She lay still, staring up at the ceiling as she tried to piece together what had happened.
Flashes of memory flickered through her mind like broken shards of glass—jagged, painful, incomplete. The voices… the dimension… the hunger gnawing at her insides. And then, that woman. Su Jiyai’s breath hitched as the memory came rushing back.
The woman with warm brown eyes and soft brown hair. Her savior. Su Jiyai had fed on her, hadn’t she?
Guilt washed over her like a tidal wave, crushing her under its weight.
She had attacked the very person who had rescued her, who had pulled her from that hellish place.
And then she was here again, in her underground room, teleported back by the system.
The system.
