Chapter 183: Chapter 183: Expansion -1
Su Jiyai blinked in surprise.
“What do you mean they haven’t seen my face? How is that possible?”
[The same way you’ve only heard their voices but haven’t seen them. They’ve only seen your body. Each entity, and even its human agents, have certain restrictions. They cannot perceive everything about you, and they cannot see everything at once.]
Su Jiyai processed this for a moment, her mind spinning with the complexity of it all.
“So… they know what I’m capable of, but not who I am.”
[Correct. And as long as you remain cautious, there’s a chance you can still outmaneuver them.]
“There’s so much more I need to know. So many things you’re still hiding from me.”
The system remained silent, an uncomfortable pause stretching between them.
Finally, Su Jiyai broke the silence.
“Tell me about the administrative office. What is it? And why did you choose me?”
The system’s silence stretched on, and Su Jiyai’s patience thinned to the point of breaking.
“Answer me,” she demanded, her voice cold and filled with authority.
Still, the system did not respond.
Her frustration bubbled over, and she clenched her fists.
“Why did you pick me?” she demanded again, her voice sharper. “What is this office, and what role does it play in this whole mess?”
The system’s voice was absent as if it had shut down the conversation entirely.
Su Jiyai took a deep breath.
Anyways she had collected more than enough knowledge.
It was a matter of time before she figured out what the system and the administrative office were that the system kept on mentioning.
“What about the base? Is anyone causing trouble?”
[Yes host quite a lot.]
“Oh? Who?”
[Someone from the military tried to incite the people at the base.]
Su Jiyai raised an eyebrow. However, instead of blaming the military right away Su Jiyai had a completely different theory.
The military didn’t reply on time. This meant the representative of the military she met faced some opposition.
So someone in the military was either wishing for the destruction of the military or hated her.
But the second possibility seemed impossible considering no one knows how she looks.
If it was because of her identity, only a handful of people were offended by her.
Among them, there could only be one person who could contact the military. Chen Mu.

“Did Chen Mu try to cause any trouble?”
[No host. Surprisingly he was silent. From the information I gathered your thoughts are correct.]
“What happened to Chen Mu?” Su Jiyai sensed the hidden clue from the system’s words.
[Host, Chen Mu’s base has collapsed due to the extreme heat. It’s in ruins now and even the food he had saved has been transferred to a mysterious person. The time of food being transferred and people starting to cause chaos are around the same time.]
“So someone from the military indeed caused trouble because of Chen Mu…if that is true then…it is quite possible that that person will be very difficult to deal with.” Su Jiyai muttered.
She wasn’t surprised by the collapse of Chen Mu’s base. She had planted the seeds of doubt in the mind of citizens of Chen Mu’s base, only he failed to realize it earlier.
“For now, let’s focus on how to offset the chaos caused by the military’s people.”
[Host, it has already been dealt with.]
“Hm? How?” Su Jiyai was surprised.
[None of the tenants believed the provocative remarks.]
That came to Su Jiyai as a surprise.
She was considering kicking out those who were incited easily. If they can be incited easily, they are like a ticking time bomb.
A sigh of relief escaped her mind as she continued,
“They are not completely useless…”
[Host, there are some more problems you need to deal with.]
“Hm? Yeah. I know. Even though I nearly lost my life and my limbs are still shaking from the aftermath, I will have to ignore my pain and continue to deal with the issues left to me.” Su Jiyai crumbled.
After learning the truth, Su Jiyai knew that her responsibility had increased.
It’s like having a switch of restoration and destruction button in hand. If she rested her hand would move in the destruction button and the more she worked the closer she was to restoration.
The system remained silent.
“Now list the problems.”
[The tenants of the Raven base have migrated to your base and are waiting for more vacancies. There are more but this is the most pressing matter for now.]
Su Jiyai tapped her fingers on the table, as she fell into deep thought.
Expansion of land was a big problem in her progress. Only when she levels up could she have access to more features and become powerful.
An idea was slowly forming in her mind.
Once she had a plan, Su Jiyai called Yuan Xin to the conference room.
Before she could speak Yuan Xin said with a hint of anxiety in his tone,
“Boss Su, the people of the military are repeatedly contacting the base and asking when they can arrange a meeting.”
“Hm? How long has it been?” Su Jiyai asked.
“3 days.”
Su Jiyai chuckled,
“Alright. Tell them that I agree to meet but on the condition that the representative should be Liu Feng and it’s their last chance.”
If it was some other time she would have ignored their requests and let them suffer a bit more, but since she realized how powerless she was currently, Su Jiyai decided to keep that matter in the back of her mind for the time being.
Yuan Xin’s eyes shone.
His ears were about to fall off from listening to all the complaints of the tenants and those who wanted to rent a room in the base.
“Boss Su what about the time?”
“Today before 9 pm.” Su Jiyai answered.
Yuan Xin nodded and left right away to execute the task.
With exhaustion on her face, Su Jiyai fell asleep on the desk.
