Chapter 184: Chapter 184: Expansion-2
In the military.
Wang Qingshan sat behind his imposing desk, his sharp eyes fixated on the two men standing before him.
On left side stood Dong Shin and on the right side stood Liu Feng.
The silence was finally broken by Liu Feng, his voice dripping with restrained frustration.
“So this is how you handle negotiations, Dong Shin? You delayed the reply to Boss Su’s offer, and because of that, she took it back. Now, we’re left without any assistance!”
Dong Shin snorted dismissively, crossing his arms over his chest.
“Tch, as if that’s my fault. It was Boss Su who was being arrogant by taking back the offer. She should be grateful we even considered cooperating with her at all. Her little base doesn’t stand a chance without our support.”
Liu Feng rolled his eyes, his temper barely held in check.
“Grateful? You’re delusional. The military needs her help, not the other way around. Our food supplies are almost gone, and her base is one of the few still standing strong.
If you hadn’t been playing your usual games, we might have secured a deal by now.”
Dong Shin opened his mouth to argue, but before he could speak, Wang Qingshan intervened with a heavy sigh, holding up a hand to silence them both.
“Enough. Dong Shin, this time it was indeed your mistake.”
Dong Shin pressed his lips into a thin line, suppressing his urge to snap back. He knew better than to argue directly with Wang Qingshan, but his mind was already formulating new schemes.
Despite the failure of his last plot to incite trouble at Su Jiyai’s base, he was convinced that it was only a matter of time before she would have no choice but to crawl back to them, begging for a deal.
Wang Qingshan turned his tired eyes toward Liu Feng.
“Did you manage to make contact with Boss Su?”
Liu Feng shook his head, regret evident in his expression.
“No, sir. I haven’t been able to communicate with her since she took back the offer.”
Wang Qingshan’s face fell, disappointment etching itself into his features. He leaned back in his chair, rubbing his temples.
“This is bad. We only have two days’ worth of food left. If we don’t secure some sort of deal soon, the military won’t survive.”
Dong Shin, sensing an opportunity to push his agenda, leaned forward slightly.
“Chairman, if I may, I have a proposal. We should send a clear message to Boss Su. If she wants to buy land from us, she should pay ten times the usual price.
That will show her we’re not to be trifled with.”
Liu Feng’s eyes flashed with anger.
“That’s ridiculous! We’re the ones who need her help, not the other way around. Trying to extort her will only push her further away.”
Dong Shin sneered, his gaze flicking dismissively toward Liu Feng.
“Maybe you should stop barking like a dog and start thinking of ways to be useful. You’re all talk and no action, Feng.
Let’s face it—Boss Su doesn’t even care about you. That’s why she didn’t bother to contact you after withdrawing the offer.”
Liu Feng’s jaw clenched, his fists tightening at his sides.

Just as he was about to retort, his phone rang, cutting through the thick tension in the room.
Dong Shin smirked, the smugness clear in his voice.
“How unprofessional, not turning off your ringtone during a meeting. It’s no wonder Boss Su doesn’t take you seriously.”
Liu Feng ignored the jab and turned toward Wang Qingshan.
“Sir, permission to answer the call?”
Wang Qingshan nodded silently, gesturing for him to proceed. Liu Feng quickly picked up the phone, his expression shifting from frustration to surprise as he listened to the voice on the other end.
A broad smile spread across his face, and he responded quickly,
“Yes, absolutely. We agree to the terms.”
He turned back toward Wang Qingshan, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
“Chairman, I have good news. Boss Su has agreed to meet again!”
Wang Qingshan’s eyes widened with relief.
“She agreed? That’s excellent news, Feng.”
Dong Shin, his previous smugness vanishing in an instant, stepped forward, a greedy glint in his eyes.
“If she’s willing to meet, I’ll go for the negotiation. We need to—”
Before he could finish, Liu Feng held up his hand and activated the speaker on his phone. From the other side of the call, Yuan Xin’s voice came through clearly.
“Boss Su has agreed to meet with the military again, but there is one condition. The representative sent for the negotiations must be Liu Feng.
If anyone else comes, the meeting will be canceled immediately. And this will be the last chance we offer.”
Dong Shin’s face twisted in disbelief, and his expression darkened with rage.
“What? She dares to set conditions like that? Does she think she can dictate who the military sends to represent itself?”
Liu Feng, suppressing a satisfied grin, glanced at Dong Shin.
“It seems Boss Su has made her choice. She doesn’t trust anyone else to handle the negotiations but me.”
Dong Shin clenched his fists, his eyes burning with anger.
“This is outrageous. She’s trying to undermine our authority. We can’t just give in to her demands!”
Wang Qingshan raised his hand, silencing Dong Shin’s protests.
“Enough, Dong Shin. We’re in no position to be making demands right now. If Boss Su has set a condition, we will respect it. We need this deal, and if Liu Feng is the one she trusts, then so be it.”
Dong Shin’s jaw tightened, but he knew better than to argue with the Chairman.
Suddenly Dong Shin said,
“Chairman, I think we should refuse the meeting. Maybe Boss Su just like us is in need of buying the land for expansion, right?
If we held on for some more time that maybe…”
Wang Qingshan shot Dong Shin a stern look, his voice cold as ice.
“Dong Shin, you overestimate our position. We don’t have the luxury of waiting it out, and neither do you.”
Dong Shin’s eyes flickered with frustration, but he remained silent.
