Chapter 185: Chapter 185: Expansion -3
Wang Qingshan turned his attention back to Liu Feng, his tone softer but laced with urgency.
“Liu Feng, contact Boss Su immediately and set up the meeting for today. Make sure everything goes smoothly—we can’t afford any more delays. Time is not on our side.”
Liu Feng nodded crisply.
“Don’t worry chairman, the meeting is going to be held today.”
He moved to leave the room, but before he could exit, Dong Shin spoke up, his voice dripping with thinly veiled contempt.
“Liu Feng, don’t think this little victory makes you anything special. You’re still just the errand boy in this operation.”
Liu Feng paused for a brief moment, his back turned to Dong Shin, before glancing over his shoulder with a calm smile.
“Call me whatever you want, Dong Shin. As long as I get results, that’s all that matters.”
Wang Qingshan watched the door close behind Liu Feng, then turned his gaze back to Dong Shin, his expression unreadable.
“Dong Shin,” the chairman said slowly, “I know you don’t like Liu Feng, but this is no time for personal conflicts. We need a united front, and you need to focus on solutions, not grudges.”
Dong Shin forced a nod, though his thoughts were far from accepting.
“Of course, Chairman. I’ll do what’s necessary.”
But inside, Dong Shin was already plotting.
He refused to believe that Liu Feng could succeed without some kind of failure along the way, and when that happened, he would be ready to swoop in and take control of the negotiations himself.
Wang Qingshan, sensing the unspoken tension, sighed.
“One more thing, Dong Shin,” he added in a quieter tone.
“Remember that the survival of the military is at stake. Personal pride can wait. Right now, we need to secure the resources to ensure our people live to see another day.”
Dong Shin bowed his head, though his eyes burned with a flicker of resentment.
“Understood, Chairman.”
Wang Qingshan waved him off, dismissing him from the room. As Dong Shin left, the chairman leaned back in his chair, rubbing his temples once more.
……….
By 7 pm Liu Feng and his group arrived at Su Jiyai’s base.
On entering the base, they rushed to the reception desk from where Yuan Xin took them to the conference room.
Su Jiyai greeted them, before saying without beating around the bush,
“Mr. Liu I want to cooperate on a completely different offer this time.”
Liu Feng expected this outcome.
Su Jiyai wasn’t a saint. Her earlier plan would not work out since the military was filled with powerful leeches.
“Mr. Liu. I will buy land from the military instead of cooperation. I will buy it at market price.”
Liu Feng was at a loss.

The previous condition for cooperation was, that Su Jiyai would rent the land under military and give them 20% profit.
In that way, the military would not lose land or money and would gain resources instead.
If only…if only they had replied on time. Liu Feng regretted not opposing firmly. Maybe if he had shown some stubbornness…the outcome would be different.
“Okay, Boss Su.” Liu Feng agreed with gritted teeth. In any way, he completed the task of bringing resources to the military even though the offer of this time wasn’t as beneficial as the previous one.
“Good then. I will begin with buying the land around my base.” Su Jiyai said in a business-like tone.
“Sure.” Liu Feng agreed.
Wang Yi who was silent till now suddenly stood up,
“Boss Su I would like to apologize.”
“Me too.” Sun Hao stood up and bowed.
Zhang Ping followed them.
Su Jiyai was surprised by their sudden apology. However before she could utter a word, Liu Feng too imitated their action.
“Boss Su, I am sorry. Previously you gave us such a good offer but we were the ones who didn’t cherish it and delayed your progress.” Liu Feng’s tone was filled with guilt.
Su Jiyai’s expression softened, though her eyes remained sharp as she regarded the group standing before her. The apologies, while unexpected, carried an air of sincerity that made her pause. She had expected the meeting to be purely transactional, but the regret in Liu Feng’s voice, along with the actions of Wang Yi, Sun Hao, and Zhang Ping, added a new dimension to the conversation.
She folded her arms, her gaze flicking from one man to the next, before settling back on Liu Feng.
“Apologies are all well and good,” she began slowly, her voice measured, “but they don’t change the fact that we’re here under different terms now.
The time for cooperation has passed, and it’s unfortunate, really. Had things gone differently, we could’ve built something more mutually beneficial.”
Liu Feng lowered his head, his fists tightening at his sides. He knew she was right.
The military had squandered the opportunity, and now they were left with a deal that, while necessary, was far from ideal.
“Yes, Boss Su, we understand that. And though this deal may not be what it once was, we’re prepared to move forward.
The military is still willing to sell the land you need, at market price, as discussed.”
Su Jiyai studied Liu Feng for a long moment.
His regret seemed genuine, but she couldn’t afford to let sentiment sway her decisions.
Her life and the nation’s survival depended on it.
The procedure from there on was easier and within one day, Su Jiyai acquired the land around her.
Though her bank balance was suffering there was a huge grin on her face.
With a supermarket, a weapon shop, rental buildings, and a cloak shop under her, her bank balance recovered within 4 days.
On the 3rd day, Lin Hao came knocking on her door. He asked Yuan Xin to arrange a meeting with Su Jiyai.
When Su Jiyai knew Lin Hao wanted to meet her, she had finished her workout.
Compared to the indifference she was used to face, Lin Hao’s attitude was surprisingly in a good mood.
“Anything good has happened?” Su Jiyai joked.
“Nothing. By the way, Boss Su can you hand over the blue cat to me?”
