Chapter 189: Chapter 189: Bullies
Due to fainting, the control on their superpower lessened and all of them became visible.
Su Jiyai stood up from her desk and teleported directly to the gates of the base, where the three men lay unconscious on the ground. As she walked toward them, her cold gaze fell on their faces, and her smirk vanished.
Her eyes widened in surprise as she recognized the men lying before her.
“Of course,” she muttered bitterly under her breath. “It had to be them.”
These three men weren’t just random opportunists—they were the same people who had made her life hell back in the military.
Her former bullies.
They had been relentless, tormenting her for being powerless, for not having awakened any superpowers like the others.
Back then, they had spread vicious rumors about her, calling her weak and pathetic.
When they found out that she had cut ties with her foster family, they used that information to blackmail her, demanding money and threatening to ruin what little reputation she had left.
Su Jiyai’s jaw clenched as she recalled the humiliations she had endured at their hands.
They were sneaky, greedy, and cruel, always bullying the weak and kowtowing to the strong.
It was because of people like them that her reputation had been tarnished in the military, making her life even more difficult.
Su Jiyai crouched down, her icy gaze sweeping over the unconscious men.
“Pathetic men.”
The reason why these three men bullied her so much was because Su Jiyai rejected all three of them.
When she gained certain power, she received more than 7 proposals. However, she rejected all of them.
Many of them accepted the rejection without any problem. That was what a normal man does. But these three greedy men were different.
They weren’t interested in her—they wanted someone they could control, a weak woman they could flaunt as their conquest.
Her refusal had been a blow to their fragile egos. To be rejected by a woman without any power was something they couldn’t tolerate.
So they made her life a living hell.
Spreading rumors, mocking her in front of others, blackmailing her when they discovered her ties with her foster family were severed.
They used every tool at their disposal to make her regret saying no. And for a time, it had worked.
The military had been hell for Su Jiyai, her reputation tarnished, her future prospects dwindling.
She became an outcast, the weak link, the target of every cruel joke and whisper.
When Qin Feng knew about the incident he used his connection and fired all three of them. Of course, he asked someone to make it so that they couldn’t join any military or decent mercenary group.
With a cold look on her face, Su Jiyai ordered the system to tie them up and throw them in the underground room.
She had already made plans for them in her mind.
She wouldn’t make the mistake of simply throwing them away from the base.
No, that would be too easy—and far too risky. If they were allowed to leave, they would only find some other way to cause trouble.

These men were opportunists, always scheming, always searching for ways to exploit others.
They wouldn’t hesitate to come after her again if she let them go now.
And besides, they owed her. It was time to collect.
Once the three were secured, Su Jiyai turned her attention back to the system panel floating in front of her.
At the top right corner of the interface was an ‘expand’ option, glowing faintly as if waiting for her to act.
Without hesitation, she clicked on the button.
The system hummed to life, and Su Jiyai watched as the blueprints for the base’s expansion unfolded before her eyes.
The electric wall slowly lowered down, and Su Jiyai’s brows furrowed. A thought popped into her mind and she cursed the system.
“System don’t tell me you will need time to reinstate the electric walls.”
However, the system remained silent.
Su Jiyai noticed that the walls had sunk down, making her base vulnerable to any sort of attack.
Maybe slowly the system was instating the metallic blue electric fence and since the distance was 10 km from where she was standing, she could, of course, not see any difference.
But…since the system was doing work so slowly, her base was left to her to defend.
To confirm her guess Su Jiyai asked,
“System do I have to defend while you are instating the walls?”
[Yes host.]
Her temple throbbed as anger flared. “System,” she growled, pacing as she tried to control her temper, “you’re supposed to notify me about something this important before you start, not after!”
The system, of course, gave no response beyond the calm beeping of its acknowledgment.
It was infuriatingly unhelpful in moments like these.
Taking a deep breath, Su Jiyai forced herself to focus.
Panicking wouldn’t help her now. She needed to act quickly.
“System,” she ordered, her voice sharp, “give me a status report on nearby movement. Any unusual activity within a ten-kilometer radius.”
[Scanning…] the system replied, and the hum of its internal mechanisms filled the silence for a tense few moments.
[No significant movement detected within the specified radius, host. Estimated time to complete wall reinstatement: two hours.]
Two hours.
That was an eternity in this world. If anyone found out about the walls being down, they wouldn’t need long to mobilize an attack.
“Deploy all drones to monitor the perimeter,” Su Jiyai commanded. “Any sign of hostile activity, and I want immediate notifications.”
[Deploying drones.]
The buzzing of the drones reassured her, at least for the moment.
Thankfully nothing went wrong.
Once the expansion was completed, Su Jiyai took five minutes of rest. For the previous two hours, she was pacing around to perimeter to ensure no mishap happened.
After taking a rest Su Jiyai built 10 buildings followed by rooms and decorated them. By 4 am, she was done with half of her work.
