Chapter 190: Chapter 190: Torture
Su Jiyai looked through the options and finally found a factory. While the factory was under construction, she also built a special breeding building inaccessible to the general tenants.
Who likes to see the bees occupying one of the portions of their house?
She also built a car dealership store. Looking at her artwork Su Jiyai was satisfied and decided to return to her underground room.
The doors of the tenants were unlocked at 6 am.
Su Jiyai slept for the next 6 hours and when she woke up, she heard the wails of three men.
Rubbing her ears with a hint of dissatisfaction her in eyes, Su Jiyai asked,
“System, are those three men who are crying?”
[Yes host.]
“Knock them out.” Su Jiyai rolled her eyes.
[Okay host.]
Once the system executed the task, the atmosphere turned silent. Su Jiyai worked out and had her lunch before thinking of exploring the rewards she had gotten from her last task.
“System open the reward for the last task.”
[Right away host.]
[1. Cure for Qin Feng’s Charred Skin.
2. Hint for the arrival of extreme heat.]
Su Jiyai clicked on the first option and after seeing the name of the strange herbs, she was confused.
“System does such herbs exist?”
[Yes host. Not in your world but in a different universe, it does.]
Su Jiyai nodded her head in understanding and clicked on the 2 option.
A description box appeared in front of her.
[Hint: Sun is not responsible.]
Su Jiyai: “…” Wow! What a great hint!
“System do you call this hint?”
The system decided to play as if it were dead.
“Someday I will truly kill you.” Su Jiyai muttered. However, her mind was already working on possibilities.
The sun was not responsible for the extreme heat, which meant the heat around them was artificial, right?
If it is true then…the extreme heat was artificially generated by something—or someone.
Su Jiyai’s mind raced, piecing together the puzzle.
If the heat wasn’t natural, there had to be a source, some kind of technology or power responsible for it.

Her eyes narrowed as she thought about the implications.
If someone could artificially manipulate the environment on such a large scale, it was a power far beyond anything she had encountered before.
“System,” she said, her tone sharp, “scan the surrounding area for any unusual energy signatures or anomalies.”
[Scanning…]
Su Jiyai tapped her fingers against her desk, her eyes flicking back to the screen as she waited for the results. She didn’t have to wait long.
[No unusual energy signatures detected within a 10 km radius.]
Su Jiyai frowned.
No energy signatures?
That didn’t make sense.
If the heat was artificial, there should be some trace of it nearby.
Was it possible that the source was further away—or even hidden from standard detection?
“System, expand the scan to 50 kilometers,” she commanded.
The system obeyed, but Su Jiyai wasn’t holding her breath.
If someone was behind this, they were clever enough to keep their activities under wraps. Still, it didn’t hurt to be thorough.
[Error! The range is too wide!]
Su Jiyai sighed.
She kind of expected this response.
“Looks like I have to roam a bit.”
However, Su Jiyai wasn’t in a rush.
For now, she had more than enough to deal with the rising heat.

……
Su Jiyai decided to list down the items at night and asked the system to bring the three bullies in front of her.
[Host please wear the veil first.]
Su Jiyai sat back on the plush sofa, her expression hidden behind the SSS-Rank veil.
The system had advised her to wear the veil to keep her identity concealed, and she had gladly complied.
After all, she didn’t want these men—her former bullies, the ones who had tormented her relentlessly in the military—to recognize her just yet.
In an instant, the three men—Xie Liang, who could cast invisibility, Hao Chen, who had the power to incite others, and Fang Qian, the telekinesis—were teleported into the room.
They were still tied up, looking dazed and disoriented, their bodies limp like ragdolls as they materialized on the floor.
Su Jiyai studied them through the veil, her eyes narrowing.
She could see the faint traces of fear creeping into their expressions as they slowly came to their senses.
Her lips curved into a small, bitter smile. It was only fitting that they would be at her mercy now.
“System,” she said, her voice as icy as ever, “pour some water on them.”
A moment later, a stream of cold water splashed down on the men, drenching them from head to toe.
Their startled cries filled the room as they flailed against their restraints, sputtering and coughing.
“W-What the hell?” Hao Chen gasped, blinking water out of his eyes. “Where are we?”
“I can’t see anything!” Fang Qian exclaimed, thrashing his head from side to side.
His telekinesis powers clearly weren’t helping him in this situation.
Xie Liang, the one who could turn invisible, was shaking like a leaf, trying and failing to activate his power in his panic.
The ropes binding him were too tight for him to concentrate.
Su Jiyai watched them with a calm indifference.
These were the same men who had made her life hell in the military, the ones who had spread rumors, mocked her, and blackmailed her when they found out she had severed ties with her foster family.
They had enjoyed making her feel powerless, so now, it was her turn to give them a taste of what it felt like.
“System, spin them,” she ordered, her voice cold and measured.
