Chapter 192: Chapter 192: Betrayal
Hao Chen quickly followed suit.
“I have the power to incite people. I can rally groups to act, to fight, or even to turn on each other. Imagine the chaos we could create behind enemy lines.”
Fang Qian, though tired, chimed in last.
“I have telekinesis.”
The soldiers seemed mildly interested, but they were still wary. The scarred man stroked his chin thoughtfully, weighing his options.
“You’re saying you have information about Boss Su. If we help you, you’ll tell us what you know?”
“Exactly!” Hao Chen said, his voice laced with urgency. “Just help us, and we’ll tell you everything.”
The scarred soldier studied the trio for another long moment before finally nodding.
“Alright. We’ll help you. But if you’re lying…” He didn’t finish the sentence, but the threat hung heavy in the air.
Hao Chen, Xie Liang, and Fang Qian exchanged relieved glances, the tension draining from their bodies.
The soldiers led them to their military vehicle, and the trio climbed in, grateful to be off their feet.
After what felt like hours, the vehicle came to a stop at a small military outpost.
The soldiers escorted the trio inside, where they were offered water and a place to sit.
The scarred man, clearly the leader, sat down across from them, his arms folded.
“Alright,” he said, his tone demanding.
“Start talking. What’s this information you have about Boss Su?”
The three men exchanged glances again. Hao Chen took a deep breath before starting.
“We were sent to scout out Boss Su’s base. We… we underestimated her,” he admitted, his pride taking a hit.
“She’s not just some ordinary woman. She has resources, and she’s dangerous. More dangerous than we thought.”
“She tortured us,” Xie Liang added, his voice shaky. “Tied us up, spun us around, and plucked out our hair even without moving her fingers! She’s a monster!”
The scarred soldier raised an eyebrow.
“Hair plucking, huh? Doesn’t sound too dangerous to me.”
“It’s not just that!” Fang Qian interjected, leaning forward.
“She has control. Real control. We were powerless against her. She could have killed us at any moment.
Her power…she seemed to have telekinesis too!”
The soldiers looked skeptical, but there was a flicker of concern in their eyes.
“And you think you can help us… how?” the scarred man asked.
“We’ve seen her base, her operations,” Hao Chen replied confidently.
“We know where she’s vulnerable. And with our powers, we can help you take her down.”

The soldier remained silent for a moment, clearly weighing the situation. Finally, he nodded.
“Alright, we will trust you. Follow us.”
Before the trio could understand anything they were led through a series of narrow hallways in the military outpost
They reached a door at the end of the hallway, where two soldiers stood guard.
The man leading them nodded to the guards, who opened the door with a swift motion.
Inside was a spacious, dimly lit office.
The walls were lined with military maps, data screens, and shelves of tactical reports.
At the center of the room sat a man behind a large metal desk, his eyes sharp and calculating.
The soldier saluted and spoke in a clipped tone.
“Sir, these men claim to have important information about Boss Su. I believe you’ll want to hear it.”
Dong Shin looked up from the reports scattered across his desk, his eyes narrowing as he scrutinized the trio standing before him.
“Speak,” Dong Shin said, his voice low but commanding. “If you’ve brought me here just to waste my time, you’ll regret it.”
Hao Chen swallowed hard.
He knew that this was a make-or-break moment.
With a quick glance at his companions, he stepped forward and began to speak.
“We were sent to scout out Boss Su’s base,” Hao Chen began, his voice steady but filled with urgency.
“We underestimated her power, and we paid for it. She captured us, tortured us. But we managed to escape, and we overheard something… something important before we got away.”
Dong Shin’s eyes flickered with mild interest, but he remained silent, allowing Hao Chen to continue.
“She’s not just powerful, sir,” Hao Chen went on.
“She’s planning something big, something that involves high-ranking military personnel. We overheard her on a call… she was talking about transferring all the food from Raven Base to a military general.”
Dong Shin’s eyebrows raised slightly, but his expression remained guarded. “Go on.”
Hao Chen hesitated for a moment before delivering the bombshell.
“She said she was going to frame that general and report it to Chairman Wang Qingshan. She even mentioned that she already had fake evidence prepared.”
A tense silence filled the room. Dong Shin’s face remained unreadable, but his fingers tapped slowly against the edge of his desk.
Xie Liang, who had been silent up to this point, suddenly spoke up, his voice shaky.
“She also mentioned that the general had been delaying her offer to the military, which would make it easier for her to frame him.
She sounded confident that everything was going according to her plan. The other party with whom she was communicating seemed to be our base leader Chen Mu.”
Dong Shin’s expression darkened as each word sunk in. His jaw tightened, and his eyes glinted with a dangerous edge.
“And this general,” Hao Chen continued carefully, glancing at Dong Shin to gauge his reaction.
“The one she’s planning to frame… his name was Dong Shin. Do you know him, sir?”
At this, Dong Shin’s entire demeanor shifted.
His face twisted into a grimace, his eyes narrowing with a cold fury that made the temperature in the room seem to drop.
He clenched his fists, and his voice, when he finally spoke, was like ice.
“Good. Very good,” Dong Shin muttered under his breath, his voice barely above a whisper. “That bastard Chen Mu dared to betray me.”
Hao Chen, Xie Liang, and Fang Qian exchanged confused glances.
Before they could react, the soldier who had escorted them in stepped forward and addressed the trio.
“The general you’re talking to right now,” the soldier said, his voice low and somewhat amused, “is Dong Shin.”
