Due to the bath, Su Jiyai’s body was even more sensitive, and she shivered once she touched Lin Hao’s warm body.

Maybe it was her cat instinct but Su Jiyai leaned toward Lin Hao.

Almost immediately, the corner of Lin Hao’s lips curled.

Su Jiyai who was enjoying the warmth, suddenly was washed over by a wave of hot air. Her eyes closed in enjoyment making Lin Hao chuckle.

Once Su Jiyai was completely dry, she slowly opened her eyes and a hint of confusion appeared in her mind.

Didn’t Lin Hao have telekinesis? How come he can spray hot air on her?

Is he a dual-power awakener? Su Jiyai’s mind was filled with various thoughts, yet she didn’t show it on her face.

Lin Hao placed Su Jiyai on the bed and asked as he petted her head,

“You are Su Jiyai, right?”

Su Jiyai nodded her head.

A strange glint flashed in Lin Hao’s eyes but before Su Jiyai could gauge it, Lin Hao held her in his arms and hugged her tightly.

For some reason, Su Jiyai felt as if she would cry.

Lin Hao’s hug was filled with longing.

A conversation that she had forgotten over the period of time played in her mind.

“Brother Qin, you will become my home in the future, right?” Su Jiyai could hear her own playful voice.

“Yes.” Qin Feng’s calm and steady voice filled her with reassurance.

“So you will support all of my decisions too?” Expectation was dripping from her voice.

“Yes. Always.” As if feeling his words getting repetitive Qin Feng added another word.

“What if I want to find my family in the future?” Su Jiyai questioned.

“Do you want to find your real family members?” There was a hint of probing in Qin Feng’s voice.

“Hm. I want to know why they abandoned me.”

Qin Feng remained silent for a long while as if he was considering her words but also planning something.

Finally, when Su Jiyai felt he was about to decline, Qin Feng’s cool voice echoed in her ears,

“Okay. I will find them for you.”

“Really?” Su Jiyai couldn’t believe her ears, joy filled every fiber of her being.

“Hm. I will find them and after checking whether they truly are worthy of you or not, I will directly send you to them.”

Su Jiyai came out of her daze when Lin Hao pulled himself away from her, looking visibly shaken.

If the conversation didn’t play in her mind, maybe she would have thought Lin Hao was a pervert or something, but now…

Was he perhaps biologically related to her?

Complex emotions flashed in Su Jiyai’s eyes. For a moment she even wondered whether Lin Hao was her brother or maybe cousin.

Anyhow the thought made Su Jiyai’s tense nerves relaxed.

Lin Hao caressed Su Jiyai’s cheeks as he muttered,

“I will protect you from now on.”

Su Jiyai didn’t nod. Her eyes remained on Lin Hao’s face for a few seconds before she looked away.

Living with Lin Hao was particularly relaxing for Su Jiyai. She hardly has to do any house chores.

To her keep her fit, he would sometimes, play a game with her. Of course, he didn’t let Su Jiyai’s feet touch the ground. Most of the time Su Jiyai would remain on the bed.

Even for playing, Lin Hao would suggest games that could be played on the bed.

In between she would pretend to sleep when in reality she would be communicating with the system asking for updates and managing the residential area.

However, the most favorite time of Su Jiyai was watching Lin Hao as he cultivated. She kept on feeling a strange sense of familiarity with him.

Yet Su Jiyai didn’t forget about the impending danger. She would cultivate, secretly exercise, while thinking of a strategy of winning against the entities if she ever again came across them.

She was fearful.

Fearful that someday those entities would descend on Earth.

From the system’s words and her own estimation, Su Jiyai saw those entities as a ball of energy, which would expand the more negative energy aka despair, hatred, fear, etc. it absorbs.

It can never enter her world though.

Rather than saying that it couldn’t cross over the dimensions, it would be more appropriate to say, that it couldn’t cross the universe it was in.

As if…as if the universe the entity was in was separated by a partition. Yet it holds the power to alter other universes.

Whether the arrival of the zombie apocalypse or the arrival of extreme heat, each of them could deal a significant blow to her world, so if the entity could cause such things, it definitely has power.

But the power has its own limitations.

Like, at the time when Su Jiyai was dragged into the dungeon, they could have killed her easily, just by releasing the pressure, but they didn’t.

Not because they felt pity or amused to see Su Jiyai struggle. Nope. It was more like they can’t.

Maybe her world was like a painting to them. They could draw things on it, like the weapons she faced in the dungeon and the extreme heat in her world, but they couldn’t enter the painting itself.

Yet Su Jiyai’s instinct told her that the entity would be able to enter the painting aka her world and other worlds soon.

This can be proven by the fact that the entity could tamper with the portal opened by her.

So she can’t relax her guard. Not now.

On the fourth day of living with Lin Hao, Su Jiyai tapped on a notepad. If Su Jiyai wanted to communicate, she would tap on the letters and Lin Hao would piece them together. This method was found by Lin Hao.

Lin Hao patiently wrote down the letters and asked out loud,

“You are asking me what relationship I have with Qin Feng?”
