Chapter 206: Chapter 206: Portal
Su Jiyai’s gaze darted to Dr. Mei, who was standing over Jake with a twisted smile, her attention fully focused on him.
She looked as if she were savoring the moment, enjoying the fear in Jake’s eyes as the machines around him hummed ominously.
Dr. Mei didn’t even notice Su Jiyai’s growing anger or the subtle shift in the air.
Taking a deep breath, Su Jiyai narrowed her eyes, focusing on Dr. Mei’s figure.
She muttered a single word under her breath, barely audible but filled with intent: “Portal.”
The air behind Dr. Mei shimmered for a split second, and then, to Su Jiyai’s astonishment, a swirling portal appeared, its edges crackling with unstable energy.
Dr. Mei froze, her smile faltering as she noticed the change in the air.
She turned just in time to see the portal behind her, eyes widening in shock.
But before she could react, the portal surged forward, its pull irresistible.
With a sudden whoosh of air, Dr. Mei was dragged into the portal, her scream echoing briefly before she vanished completely.
Su Jiyai blinked, stunned by the sheer power she had just unleashed. She had done it—she had actually made the portal appear.
And it had taken Dr. Mei with it.
Dr. Pan, who had been standing on the opposite side of the bed, was momentarily frozen in shock, his eyes wide with disbelief.
“What…what just happened? Mei? Mei, where are you?”
Dr. Pan rapidly swung his hand at the place where Dr. Mei vanished. It was as if Dr. Mei would appear as long as Dr. Pan found the switch in the thin air to open the portal again.
But no amount of searching the air would bring Dr. Mei back.
She was gone, lost to whatever dimension Su Jiyai’s portal had dragged her into.
Su Jiyai stood still, watching Dr. Pan’s futile attempts with cold, calculating eyes. Her anger had not subsided.
If anything, it grew stronger as she realized the power she now possessed.
These scientists were monsters—monsters who needed to be dealt with. She had found an effective way to do just that.
Dr. Pan’s frantic hand-waving stopped, and he spun around, his gaze finally locking onto Su Jiyai.
For a moment, his eyes were filled with confusion, but then understanding dawned, and that confusion twisted into something far darker: fear and resentment.
He knew. He knew she was the one responsible for Dr. Mei’s disappearance.
“You… You did this…” His voice was low, trembling with disbelief and fury. “You… freakish little creature!”
Dr. Pan was sure that he didn’t possess such power, and neither did Dr. Mei and Jake. It could only mean that Su Jiyai was the one behind the incident.
Su Jiyai met his gaze, unfazed by the insult.
In fact, she smiled—calm, serene, as if what she had done was the most natural thing in the world.
And in some ways, it was.
These people had forfeited their humanity long ago.

The world was in ruins, and people like Dr. Mei and Dr. Pan were the reason why it continued to spiral into chaos.
She wasn’t going to let them continue.
Without a word, Su Jiyai raised her paw slightly, focusing her energy once more. She didn’t need to say anything this time.
She had already mastered the process in her mind.
The air behind Dr. Pan began to shimmer, just as it had with Dr. Mei.
A swirling portal appeared, crackling with unstable energy, its dark blue edges glowing ominously.
Dr. Pan’s eyes widened in terror as he felt the pull behind him.
“No… NO!” he screamed, stumbling back as the portal’s force began to drag him in.
His feet slipped, and he fell backward, the portal pulling at his body like a vortex.
Just before he was completely sucked in, his eyes locked onto Su Jiyai’s once more.
There was pure fear in them now—fear and hatred.
“You’ll regret this!” he shouted, his voice filled with venom. “You—”
But his words were cut off as the portal surged forward, pulling him in completely.
His final scream echoed through the room before disappearing into the void, just like Dr. Mei’s had.
The room fell eerily silent, the humming of the machines now the only sound.
Su Jiyai exhaled slowly, her body finally relaxing.
It was done. Dr. Pan and Dr. Mei were gone—dealt with, removed from the world.
Perhaps they would find their way back eventually, but for now, they were no longer a threat.
She turned her attention to Jake, who was still lying on the bed, his body tense, his face pale from the ordeal.
He had watched everything unfold with wide eyes, too stunned to move or speak.
The green tubes were still connected to his body, the faint glow of the liquid casting an eerie light over his skin.
“Them… where did they go?” Jake finally managed to ask, his voice hoarse.
He was clearly still in shock, his mind struggling to process the strange turn of events.
Su Jiyai didn’t respond.
She wasn’t interested in explaining herself right now. Instead, her eyes scanned the room, searching for the controls that would retract the needles from Jake’s body.
She knew that the injections had already been inserted into his skin, but the green liquid—the dangerous substance that could ruin him—had not yet been released.
It seemed to require some sort of activation, a final command to inject.
Her eyes landed on a control panel nearby, and without hesitation, she leaped onto it, her paws swiftly finding the correct button.
She pressed it, and with a soft mechanical hum, the injections began to retract from Jake’s skin.
Jake winced slightly as the needles withdrew, but the relief was clear in his eyes.
He looked at Su Jiyai again, his expression softer now, as if he finally understood the gravity of what she had done for him.
Su Jiyai didn’t say anything. She met his gaze for a brief moment, then turned toward the door.
