Chapter 226: Chapter 226: Plan
Just then the door of the room was pushed open.
The door to the control room creaked open, and Jake stepped inside, followed by Su Jiyai.
Jake’s gaze flicked over the general, his expression unreadable.
His mind was racing, trying to process everything they had just learned.
Besides the general’s limp body, instead of the satellite phone the general had believed he was holding, there was a crumpled piece of bread.
It lay in his hand like a cruel mockery of his desperation.
Su Jiyai’s lips curled into a slight, satisfied smile as she surveyed the scene. She turned to
Jake, her voice low. “Looks like your plan worked.”
Jake’s eyes, however, were still clouded with uncertainty. “We didn’t get everything,” he said, his tone somber.
“The general didn’t reveal what I was… before. There’s something about my past he’s still hiding.”
Su Jiyai nodded, her gaze drifting back to General Yi.
“But we learned enough. His superior… HQ is definitely involved in all of this. And more importantly, they were the ones who erased your memories.”
Jake’s fists clenched at his sides, the frustration boiling under his skin.
The revelation about his erased memories wasn’t new, but hearing the general confirm it made his blood simmer with rage.
“And they implanted that hypnosis to control me,” Jake muttered bitterly.
“I was their puppet. No wonder they kept so much from me.”
Su Jiyai walked toward the general, her footsteps soft against the sterile floor. She crouched down beside him, studying his face, his shallow breathing.
“He’s lucky you didn’t want to kill him,” she remarked. “This illusion array did all the work. He actually thought he was calling for reinforcements. When in reality the voice he was assuming of HQ belonged to you.”
As for the illusion array, Su Jiyai had bought it from the system.
Jake gave a small, humorless chuckle. “It was necessary. We needed to know what he knew before he could contact anyone.”
Suddenly his expression changed and he looked at Su Jiyai with a deep expression,
“But the question is how did you know I wasn’t from here?”
Su Jiyai raised an eyebrow, her blue furs were shining under the dim light of the medical room,
“Was it so difficult? He accepted that he lied when he said they created you, to top it I have seen the vampire world…it was difficult to guess that you originally belonged to the vampire world. So asked that question.”
“Then why did you ask me to say that ‘We both know it’s more complicated than that.’ “Jake asked in a nonchalant tone. It was as if he wasn’t bothered by Su Jiyai’s words.
However, if he wasn’t bothered why would he ask?
“Are you suspicious I know something about your past?” Su Jiyai questioned back. If she couldn’t understand what Jake meant, then her past 2 weeks were a waste.
Jake chuckled,
“Shouldn’t I? How come you link everything so quickly? It is as if you know everything. Should I call you smart? But how come a normal shapeshifter guesses and plans so many things?

What makes me more curious is your behavior sometimes as well as your powers and the items in your hand.
I can guess the items in your hand were given to you by that mysterious Boss Su and the food in Boss Su’s base was brought by you.
But who are you? You are too smart. Even for a human.”
The plan to defeat the general was entirely made by Su Jiyai on her own.
The first step of their plan was to influence all the soldiers and other staff and make them against the general.
Those soldiers if enemies will be a thorn in their plan to uproot the General. The case, however, will change if those soldiers become allies.
So Su Jiyai would lure soldiers into the corner, while Jake would influence them. In a day they would take down 50 or more soldiers to speed up their plan.
The only problem with the plan was General Yi’s confidants. They have strong mental fortitude and stay vigilant.
Even when Su Jiyai tried to lure them into a corner, they never followed her.
So she made a change in the plan.
Su Jiyai came up with the plan of waking Dr. Mei and Dr. Pan up and making it seem as if everything was under General Yi’s control as long as he dealt with the blue cat i.e. Su Jiyai.
They shifted the general’s focus to Su Jiyai so Jake could influence those confidants with the help of Dr. Mei and Dr. Pan.
Next was the power the General possessed. They can’t defeat until and unless the general is outnumbered.
So they used the soldiers.
But a problem arose again. General’s trump cards.
Su Jiyai asked about the General’s Trump cards and realized the institute possessed a potion for the revival of energy.
With the potion, as long as General felt he was running out of energy, he would drink the potion and feel invigorated.
Su Jiyai thought of a way to push the General to the brink where he would have to use the potion and once he did, the poison nearby would be activated and the General would be drained of energy.
In desperation, the General would for sure run away and just as she had expected, the General ran to the medical room.
Then he stepped into the illusion array making the illusion that he was talking to his superior.
Everything was meticulously dealt with.
In the entire process, Jake never interfered. It could be said he was like a freeloader.
“I am human.” Su Jiyai replied curtly.
“I am not interested in knowing that. Tell me do you know something or anything about my past?” Jake asked, his eyes glinting with dangerous light.
“Yes.” Su Jiyai replied straightforwardly. Her tone was so sincere that almost no one could doubt her.
This time even the system was shocked.
