Huo Ning stared at the white crystal in awe.

“This will really tell me what power I have?” she asked, her voice filled with a mix of excitement and nervousness.

“Yes.” Su Jiyai said.

The moment Huo Ning’s hand touched it, the white crystal began to glow faintly.

A soft hum filled the room, and a ripple of light started to expand from where her palm made contact.

Su Jiyai watched closely, her curiosity piqued.

The crystal began to shift, swirling with colors as if searching for the right one. Huo Ning’s eyes were wide with anticipation as the light inside the crystal grew brighter and brighter.

Then, suddenly, the crystal flashed a deep, vibrant green.

“What does that mean?” Huo Ning asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Su Jiyai blinked, turning to the system. “Well? What does the green color signify?”

[Host, the green color represents a wood-based superpower…]

However, before the system can finish its words, the crystal’s color changes to Dark green.

The glow subsided, and the room returned to its normal lighting. Huo Ning pulled her hand back, staring at the crystal with wide eyes.

“Eh? System, is the white crystal defective? Why did it stay a vibrant color of green for 5 seconds before slowly turning to dark green?” Su Jiyai asked.

[Uh…Host, as far as I can guess, Huo Ning may have a wood-based superpower, but it’s a mutated one.]

“Mutated?” Su Jiyai muttered. Her instincts were telling her that the matter wasn’t as simple as it seemed.

With narrowed eyes, Su Jiyai suddenly asked,

“System tell me the truth, otherwise, I will terminate the contract right away.”

The system was silent for a few seconds before saying,

Su Jiyai wasn’t frightened hearing the system’s threat instead she smiled,

“System, do you take me as the same foolish person, as I before? Maybe I am not much better than before, but I know one thing.

No one can be a better host than me. You may hide facts from me in the name of protecting me, but the reality is, the more dark I am, the more likely I will fail to defeat my enemies.

Now tell me, are you going to vomit the truth or I will terminate the contract, and you will have to find a new host, who doesn’t have Dimension Hunting as their superpower and make you a completely useless system.”

The system was silent for a few more seconds before replying in a mechanical voice,

[Host you threaten me too much.]

“System you sound cute when you are annoyed.” Su Jiyai chuckled. “Go ahead.”

Su Jiyai was surprised.

Thinking of all kinds of misfortunes she had suffered, Su Jiyai almost wanted to vomit blood.
