Chapter 259: Chapter 259: Network
Once everyone left, Su Jiyai took a break. She suddenly remembered about Lin Hao’s request and slapped her head,
“Oh god, how can I forget about that? System check on Lin Hao.”
Su Jiyai was truly worried that by now Lin Hao might have burned down one of her residential buildings.
[Host, he has retreated to his room.]
“So he didn’t return to inquire about me, again?” Su Jiyai was surprised and a bit disappointed.
[No host.]
“Strange…” Su Jiyai muttered, however, she soon forgot about the matter due to her busy day.
Running a base was truly not an easy feat. She had to deal with the troublemakers as well as the anxious crowd wanting to rent a house.
There were also some troublemakers in the base, whom Su Jiyai had to teach a lesson publicly so that no one followed their example.
Some of the tenants refused to pay rent and occupied the room.
With the system’s help, she directly kicked them out and blacklisted them. As for others who were committing robbery, Su Jiyai kicked them out.
After a hectic day, Su Jiyai thought of something and called Yuan Xin,
“Find me some men and women with good spying talent. Remember to be discrete. Take Fu Lin’s help.”
Yuan Xin was surprised and asked,
“Boss Su are you…”
“Yes.” Su Jiyai nodded.
The military officials were going to meet her the next morning and this time she decided to expand her base to the full extent.
Didn’t the system tell her she could show her face at level 5, so she would go all the way out this time?
She will expand the base to the max of her capability.
As for tenants, the spy she is going to plant in the other base will help her tell which base is on the verge of collapsing. This way, she will never have to worry about tenants.
Yuan Xin nodded at Su Jiyai’s instructions, his eyes reflecting a glint of understanding.
“Consider it done, Boss Su. I’ll find those with the talent you need and keep everything under wraps. Fu Lin’s help will make it smoother.”
“Good.” Su Jiyai gave a satisfied nod, watching as Yuan Xin left the room to begin his task.
Once he was gone, Su Jiyai leaned back in her chair for a moment, rubbing her temples. Her mind, as always, was running through the next steps.
“It’s time to get Xi Ping involved,” she muttered.
She calls Xi Ping into the conference room and gets to the point,
“We will mark the location and take down the names of all the corrupted people in Crytal Cove Base tonight. Can you teleport there?”
“With teleportation, I should be able to get there, but it’ll still take about four days. My powers are back, but the distance is considerable,” Xi Ping explained, a slight tinge of frustration in her voice.
Su Jiyai frowned at the delay. Four days would slow everything down. But then an idea struck her.
Follow new episodes on the "N0vel1st.c0m".
“System, purchase five linked teleportation scrolls,” she ordered mentally.
The system responded almost immediately.
[Host, the five linked teleportation scrolls will cost 10 million points.]
Su Jiyai’s face twitched in horror.
“Ten million points?! Are you serious?” She let out a groan of frustration, feeling the sting of such an outrageous expense.
But there was no other choice—time was critical, and this mission couldn’t be delayed.
“Do it,” she said with a heavy sigh, bracing herself for the heartache.
[Transaction completed. Five linked teleportation scrolls purchased.]
Before Su Jiyai could say anything else, one of the teleportation scrolls materialized in front of Xi Ping, who was still sitting in the conference room.
Xi Ping’s eyes widened in surprise as she stared at the scroll floating in front of her.
“What’s this?” Xi Ping asked, looking toward the speaker in the room as if expecting Su Jiyai to be there in person.
Su Jiyai’s voice crackled through the communicator.
“It’s a linked teleportation scroll. I’ll use one on my side when I reach Crystal Cove. All you have to do is keep your scroll with you, and when I tear mine, you’ll instantly be teleported to my location.”
Earlier she had seen it in the system’s shop and read the description but didn’t buy it.
Xi Ping blinked, astonished.
“I’ve never heard of such an artifact… How are you getting to Crystal Cove so fast? You’re still at Hope Base, aren’t you?”
Su Jiyai smirked, though Xi Ping couldn’t see it.
“That’s a secret for now. Don’t worry about me; just be ready. Once I get there, I’ll signal you.”
“Understood.” Xi Ping, still impressed by the artifact, didn’t press further.
She knew better than to ask too many questions when Su Jiyai had a plan in motion.
After a moment’s pause, Xi Ping nodded and left the conference room.
Once Xi Ping was out of the picture, Su Jiyai turned her attention to Jake. “System, call Jake to the conference room,” she instructed.
Jake arrived promptly, his usual cool demeanor in place. “You called?”
Su Jiyai wasted no time. She used her meows to talk with him.
“Jake, we’re heading to Crystal Cove tonight. We need to gather the names of the corrupted individuals in the leadership. Also, keep an eye out for any branches of the institute in that base. I’ve already set the plan in motion.”
Jake nodded without hesitation. “Got it, I’ll be ready.”
Su Jiyai teleported the scroll in front of him.
“Here, take this. Once I reach Crystal Cove and tear my scroll, you’ll be teleported directly to me.”
Jake raised an eyebrow, impressed by the artifact. “Okay.”
With Jake gone, Su Jiyai summoned Fu Lin next, briefing him on the mission and giving him the same scroll as she did with the others. Once everyone was prepared, Su Jiyai took a moment to rest, lying back in her chair and mentally preparing for what lay ahead.
After a short break, she sat up, her focus sharp. “System, teleport me to Qin Feng’s room,” she commanded.
